Abstract

The objective of this research is to compare the performance of workers paid by the piece and the performance of those paid by hour. The research object is CV Albizzia Sinar Gemilang. This company applies two payment system to its workers. The respondents of this research are 83 production employees. The hypotheses of this research were tested using T test. This study finds different performance between workers paid by the piece and those paid by the hour. It advised that CV Albizzia Sinar Gemilang improve the performance of their employees and apply piece rate pay to all of its workers. Furthermore, the company is suggested to increase production supervision to improve the quality of its products.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that had occurred from 2020 to 2022 in Indonesia adversely affected multiple sectors of industry; one of which is tourism and hotel. Savana, a hotel in Malang city that was also affected by the outbreak, responded to the unwanted condition by temporarily laying off some of their employees. This policy, however, is considered as a threat for job security, and it affects employees’ organizational commitment and work motivation, leading to lower performance. The goal of this study is to measure the influence of organizational commitment and work motivation on employee performance. The sample of this quantitative explanatory research is 75 employees of the hotel that was affected by the temporary layoff. The data was acquired from questionnaires, that have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of the analysis suggest that organizational commitment and work motivation simultaneously have a significant impact on performance by 14.6% with the F statistics of 7.317 > the T table of 3.12 and the coefficient of determination of 0.146 at the significance level of 0.001. further, organizational commitment has no significant effect on employee performance with the t statistics of 1.291 < t table of 1.993 at sig. of 0.201, while work motivation significantly influences employee performance at the t statistics of 2,847 > t table of 1,993 at sig. of 0.006.

Abstract

PT X is a logistics company that has been operating in Indonesia since 2015. This company, based on the observations, has already been aware of green logistics business process as they partner with Kamibox for solid waste processing and with Blitz for the operation of green-fuel vehicles. However, the company has not applied any performance measurement in their green logistics business. The measurement was designed using qualitative method, from which indicators based on the Green Supply Chain Operations Reference (GreenSCOR) were acquired. The components of GreenSCOR used in this research are Source, Deliver, Return, dan Waste Management. This research results in ten Key Performance Indicators. Then, based on the preset performance measurement, the score of the Green Logistics performance is 89, categorized as good. Further, three indicators were found to have values that are lower than the average; they are K1 (yellow category) and K8 and K10 (red category). The output of this research is a design of Green Logistics performance measurement recommended to the company for application.

Abstract

The business activities of companies in their business operations are inseparable from the influence of their business environments. The current global competition has required companies to develop their business systems by planning management systems and renewable strategies. Those measures must be taken in order to achieve their vision and mission in the future, from which they will be able to compete as the changes come from sources beyond their control. The goal of this study is to formulate an appropriate business strategy for CV Srikandi for higher competitiveness. The data of this qualitative descriptive research was harvested from interviews and documentations at the Malang Cite-based company. This study finds that the most appropriate business strategy for the company is the W-T strategy found in the SWOT analysis. Here the company is advised to make improvements in marketing, human resource, finance, and operation in order to get higher competitiveness.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the formulation of the correct business strategy for Raos Abadi, a bean curd producing company, so it can have some competitive advantage over other similar companies. This qualitative descriptive research starts by identifying and analyzing the internal and external environmental factors of the company. Then, the results of the identification and analysis were processed using IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix, EFE (External Factor Evaluation) matrix, SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats) matrix, and IE matrix. This study finds that the internal environmental factor of Raos Abadi consists of four strengths and four weaknesses, while its external factor consists of four opportunities and four threats. Then, using SWOT and IE matrix, the company is advised to apply hold-and-maintain strategy through market penetration and product development. The penetration can be done by increasing promotion cost, intensifying promotions in social media, and expanding its agency network in more places. Then, product development can be carried out by keeping informed about and anticipating competitors’ sales strategy, improving the quality of the existing products, and innovating for new products.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Development Strategy in Selecta Recreational Parks. The method used in this research is qualitative (descriptive) method. In this study described the internal and external environmental conditions data collected in the analysis to determine the role of tourism development, EFE and IFE analysis, IE Matrix Analysis, and QSPM Matrix in the company. The results of this study indicate that in the analysis of the internal environment the strength in selecta recreational parks is very high, one of which is the variety of diverse products in the recreational park. while in the analysis of high external environment is community support. In the IE matrix the results are in quadrants I and IV, this position is very suitable for companies to grow and build, one of which is the strategy of product development, market and market penetration. On the results of the QSPM matrix for product development get 6.35 points, for market development get 6.15, and market penetration get 5.91. The results here show the product development strategy gets big points, one of the strategies that can be done is to add new vehicles that have a high enough appeal and increase the use of more modern technology.

Abstract

The success of an organization can be determined by many variables, one of which is its human resource. To achieve success, organizations need employees who are willing to take tasks not listed on their job description and those that surpass the expectation of their organization, which is termed as organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The goal of this study is to analyze the effect of organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior at PG Kebon Agung Malang. The independent variables of this research are affective commitment, continuance commitment, and normative commitment, while the dependent variable is organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). The population of this quantitative explanatory research is 252 permanent employees of PG Kebon Agung Malang. Using probability sampling, 155 people were selected as the sample. The results of the descriptive and multiple linear regression analysis have led to findings that affective commitment and normative commitment has significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), while continuance commitment has no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).

Abstract

This research aims to identify and set the appropriate business strategy for UD. Brontoseno. This descriptive study was designed to collect data explaining the characteristics of people, events, or situations. The data was collected through documentation, library research, observations, and direct interviews with the company’s owner, employees, and customers. The methods of analysis are EFAS and IFAS, SWOT matrix, SWOT Choosing, IE (Internal-External) matrix, and QSPM. This study finds that hold and maintain is the most appropriate strategy for UD. Brontoseno and that aggressive strategy can strengthen the hold and maintain strategy.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the roles of Instagram in social media marketing, in creating brand awareness, and in improving marketing performance at Peminpin.id, a social startup. Operating in Jakarta, the startup operates in leadership ecosystem. The data of this descriptive qualitative research was harvested through interviews, observations, and documentation and was validated using triangulation. Through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, this study finds that Instagram that is used as social media marketing can create brand awareness to enhance the marketing performance of the startup. Furthermore, the enterprise needs strategies and consistencies in order to gain maximum outcome and to avoid failures in running their programs.

Abstract

The twentieth-century technological development has brought innovation in financial sector through the emergence of financial technology, colloquially referred to as fintech. One of the peer-to-peer lending companies in Indonesia is PT SimpleFi Teknologi Indonesia, or AwanTunai. According to Techinasia, fintech startups have grown rapidly during the last few years, but most consumers do not realize it. The objective of this quantitative explanatory research is to identify the partial effects of social media marketing and personal selling on brand awareness. From the population of Indonesian entrepreneurs who know about AwanTunai, 110 people were selected as the respondents through the use of purposive sampling. The data was harvested online via Google Forms and was analyzed using multiple linear regression in Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 24,0 for Windows. This study finds that social media marketing and personal selling positively and significantly influence the brand awareness. Therefore, the social media marketing and personal selling organized by AwanTunai have created brand awareness among entrepreneurs. However, the company needs to improve their consistency in posting content in social media, promote openness in its communication, and provide trainings for its sales representatives so that the awareness of entrepreneurs to AwanTunai increases.
