Abstract

One of the public health problems is anemia in adolescent girls, which has an impact on growth, development, and productivity. It is expected that good knowledge and attitudes can help carry out effective anemia prevention measures. This study aims to study how the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls in Gondangrejo District, Karanganyar, contribute to anemia prevention practices. This study employed a quantitative observational analytic method with a cross-sectional design involving 30 adolescent girls selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods with the Chi-square test. The majority of respondents demonstrated positive levels of knowledge and attitudes towards anemia prevention. There was a significant relationship between knowledge level (p = 0,002) and attitude (p = 0,001) with anemia prevention practices. Knowledge and attitude play an important role in promoting anemia prevention practices among adolescent girls. Continuous educational efforts need to be enhanced to optimize anemia prevention within this population. Keywords: Anemia, Knowledge, Practice, Adolescent Girls, Attitude

Abstract

A drug procurement arrangement is made based on the e-purchasing method through e-catalogues to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of the drug procurement process for the JKN program. Dadi Keluarga Hospital Purwokerto first used e-catalogues as its procurement method in 2021, which previously used the direct procurement method. In 2023, Dadi Keluarga Hospital Purwokerto did not use the drug procurement method with e-catalogues and returned to using it in 2024, so it is necessary to evaluate drug procurement with e-catalogues at Dadi Keluarga Hospital Purwokerto. This research is a non-experimental qualitative study with a case study that describes the obstacles encountered when procuring drugs through e-catalogues. The results showed several obstacles when implementing drug procurement through e-catalogues, such as the system in the e-catalogue not being optimal, drugs being out of stock by the provider, and the delivery time of goods tending to be long. In addition to these obstacles, procurement with e-catalogues is included in the efficient and effective drug procurement method.

Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease that attacks the joints with common symptoms such as pain and inflammation of the joints. Pain occurs due to damage to body tissue or potential damage. Complaints of pain in RA are generally treated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). However, the challenge in the use of NSAIDs is the irrational use of drugs. Irrational use of NSAIDs can cause inefficient and ineffective treatment. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study of the rationality of the use of NSAIDs in RA patients. This study was conducted to determine the level of rationality at Dr. Moewardi Surakarta Hospital in 2020-2023. The rationality study starts from the correct diagnosis, correct indication of the disease, correct drug, correct dose, correct route of administration and correct interval in non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) so that they do not cause side effects for patients. This study is a qualitative descriptive observational study using a cross-sectional design. The sample used is retrospective data obtained from patient medical records using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the analysis were carried out on 100 patient medical record data, the data was analyzed for rationality using the 6T method. The results of the analysis were that the correct diagnosis was 100.00%, the correct indication was 100.00%, the correct drug was 85.00%, the correct dose was 100.00%, the correct interval was 100.00%, and the correct route was 96.00%.

Abstract

Clove oil (Oleum caryophyli) is an essential oil obtained from the distillation of clove flower buds. The main components of clove oil are terpenes and their derivatives. The main terpenes of clove oil are eugenol (60-90%), eugenol acetate, and caryophyllene. Eugenol has a refreshing and spicy aroma so it can be a component to freshen the mouth. In this study, the solvent modification between ethanol and ether was carried out in identifying and isolating clove oil eugenol. The results of organoleptic observations on ethanol solvents showed a dark yellow solution color while on diethyl ether it was clearer. Eugenol is a colorless, odorless, hard liquid with a spicy taste. Eugenol will easily turn brown when in open conditions. In the isolation process, diethyl ether is better at isolating eugenol. The yield obtained in the isolation process was 39.3%. From the TLC test, the Rf value 0.8 was obtained where the longer the spots, the greater the Rf value on the TLC plate, which means that more compounds are attracted. The results of the isolation and identification of eugenol show that diethyl ether solvent is more effective in the process of isolating clove oil eugenol.
