Abstract

The rapid development of technology has pushed entrepreneurship towards digital. Even though the level of digital skills of people in Indonesia is in a relatively high category, the use of technology for entrepreneurial activities tends to still be low. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of digital literacy and entrepreneurship education on students' digital entrepreneurship intentions in Bandar Lampung City, with personal innovation as a mediating factor. This study used a descriptive design with a quantitative approach, employing purposive sampling. The study included 123 students in Bandar Lampung who were actively studying and had taken entrepreneurship courses. The research instrument was developed using Google Forms and distributed online via a link shared via the WhatsApp application. The collected information was then processed using the SmartPLS 4 application. Data analysis showed that digital literacy, entrepreneurship education, and personal innovation had a positive and significant impact on digital entrepreneurship intentions. Furthermore, personal innovation plays an important role as a bridge in explaining the relationship between digital literacy, entrepreneurship education, and digital entrepreneurship intentions.

Abstract

the research investigates the influence of financial technology and financial activities on the business resilience of MSMEs in urban Batam. The study is motivated by the existing disparities in fintech adoption, financial literacy, and financial behavior among small business owners, which are critical determinants of organizational outcomes. Adopting a quantitative framework, a survey was conducted involving 187 local enterprises across the Batam Kota and Lubuk Baja districts. Primary data were collected via digital questionnaires and analyzed using a multiple linear regression model, facilitated by SPSS software. The empirical results domenstrate that financial technology, financial literacy, and financial attitudes exert a significant posititve impact on MSME performance, both individually (partially) and collectively (simultaneously). Specifically, financial technology emerged ad the most influential driver, followed by financial behavior and literacy. The coefficient of determination confirms that these three variables explain a substantial portion of the variance in business performance. Ultimately, this study validates that MSME growth is not the product of a single isolated factor but rather the result of a synergy between technological integration and robust financial competence. Consequentlu, strengthening both technological and financial dimensions is a vital strategy for ensuring the long-term sustainability and performance of the MSME sector.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the effects of digital literacy, intelligence quotient (IQ), and emotional quotient (EQ) on the work readiness of accounting students in the era of Industry 4.0. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative research design. The population consisted of all accounting students enrolled in higher education institutions in Batam City, with a sample of 327 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Primary data were collected through online questionnaires using a Likert scale, supported by a literature review. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach, processed through SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results indicate that digital literacy, intelligence quotient, and emotional quotient each have a positive and significant effect on the work readiness of accounting students. Among the three independent variables, digital literacy shows the most dominant influence, followed by emotional quotient and intelligence quotient. These findings suggest that work readiness is not solely determined by cognitive abilities, but also by digital competencies and emotional intelligence that are relevant to the demands of Industry 4.0. Therefore, higher education institutions are expected to integrate the development of digital literacy, intellectual intelligence, and emotional intelligence in a balanced manner to enhance the work readiness of accounting graduates.

Abstract

The expansion of digital financial services, particularly electronic money, has significantly altered the way university students conduct financial transactions. Although e-money offers practicality and transactional efficiency, uncontrolled usage may lead to higher levels of consumptive behavior when it is not supported by sufficient financial literacy and effective personal financial management. This study examines the influence of e-money utilization, financial literacy, and personal financial management on the consumptive behavior of accounting students in Batam City. A quantitative research design was adopted using a survey approach. The study population comprised active undergraduate accounting students in Batam City, from which 272 respondents were selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were obtained through structured questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The findings reveal that e-money usage exerts a positive and statistically significant effect on consumptive behavior, whereas financial literacy and personal financial management demonstrate negative and significant effects. Collectively, the independent variables have a significant impact on students’ consumptive behavior, indicating that strengthening financial literacy and personal financial management can help mitigate consumptive tendencies amid the growing adoption of e-money.

Abstract

The development of the property sector in Indonesia over the past few decades has shown significant dynamics in line with national economic growth and the increasing need for residential, commercial, and industrial space. One property segment that has experienced rapid growth is shophouses (ruko), especially in urban areas that are centers of economic growth and trade, such as Medan. The rate of return on commercial property investment in Medan shows significant variation, but there is still little research specifically analyzing the physical and spatial factors that influence the rental capitalization rate of shophouses (ruko). This study aims to analyze the rental capitalization rate of shophouses in Medan and identify the factors that influence it. The study used a quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression method. Data were obtained from property listings, field observations, and secondary sources from the Central Statistics Agency. A sample of 180 shophouses spread across several areas of the city was selected. The results showed that building area (p 0.001), land area (p 0.000), and number of floors (p 0.021) had a positive and significant effect on the rental capitalization rate of shophouses. The variables of area type, road type, and population density did not significantly influence the rental capitalization rate of shophouses. The physical characteristics of a shophouse play a more dominant role in determining its investment attractiveness than its location. Investors and shophouse owners need to emphasize evaluating space utilization efficiency, tenant stability, and rental income potential when determining investment feasibility and rental pricing strategies. A contextual, local market-based property valuation approach is crucial in commercial property capitalization studies.

Abstract

Objectives: This study examines how female CEOs, critical mass levels of female directors, and their interaction via gender homophily effect ESG performance among Indonesia firms Design/method/approach: A quantitative design employing multiple linear regression with a sample of 403 companies adhering to Global Reporting Initiative guidelines. Variables consist of female CEO, critical mass metric (WOMEN10, WOMEN20. WOMEN40) and interaction terms. Results/findings: Female CEOs have a beneficial and substantial impact on ESG performance. Results for critical mass show variability: WOMEN10 is significantly positive, WOMEN20 is significantly negative, and WOMEN40 shows no significance. Interaction effects are not significant, suggesting the gender homophily does not enhance board effectiveness in this case. Theoretical contribution: This research draws on Critical Mass Theory and the Upper Echelons perspective to enhance understanding of the role of female leadership in promoting sustainability.Practical contribution: Recommends that companies boost female representation in leadership positions to improve ESG outcomes. Limitations: Limited by variation in GRI disclosure quality across firms.

Abstract

“This study aims to analyze the effects of logistics infrastructure, transaction costs, and export performance on the efficiency and productivity of Indonesian clove exports. A quantitative approach was employed using time series data consisting of 17 observations, analyzed through multiple linear regression. The results indicate that logistics infrastructure does not have a significant effect on either export efficiency or export productivity. In contrast, transaction costs have a negative and significant effect on both efficiency and productivity, indicating that high administrative, customs, and logistics costs reduce the performance of clove exports. Export performance has a positive and significant effect on export efficiency and productivity, while export efficiency also positively influences export productivity. Simultaneously, logistics infrastructure, transaction costs, and export performance significantly affect the efficiency and productivity of Indonesian clove exports. These findings highlight the importance of reducing transaction costs and improving export performance to enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian clove exports in the global market.”

Abstract

One of the main challenges in human resource management is retaining employees amidst increasing job stress and job insecurity. These conditions not only cause psychological stress but also potentially increase turnover intention. However, not all employees experiencing job stress and job insecurity have a desire to leave the organisation. One factor believed to play a role in explaining this condition is organizational commitment. Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of job stress and job insecurity on turnover intention, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable, among employees of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Purworejo. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 129 employees. Data was collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and analysed using the SmartPLS-based Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method. The research results indicate that job stress and job insecurity have a positive effect on turnover intention. Additionally, job stress and job insecurity negatively impact organisational commitment. Organisational commitment has been proven to have a negative influence on turnover intention and is able to mediate the influence of job stress and job insecurity on turnover intention. This finding is expected to serve as a consideration for the management of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Purworejo in formulating human resource policies that focus on managing work stress, increasing job security, and strengthening organizational commitment to reduce turnover intention.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic development of the multifinance industry requires companies to possess strong adaptive capabilities and sustainable organizational learning. In this context, knowledge management has become a strategic factor in enhancing organizational competitiveness and performance. One of the widely applied knowledge management frameworks is the SECI model (Socialization, Externalization, Combination, and Internalization), which explains the process of knowledge conversion between tacit and explicit knowledge. This study aims to analyze the effect of the SECI model on learning organization at FIFGROUP Central Lampung. This study employs a quantitative approach using Partial Least Square–based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS). Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees of FIFGROUP Central Lampung using a five-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software to examine validity, reliability, and causal relationships among the research variables. The results indicate that the SECI model has a positive and significant effect on learning organization simultaneously. Partially, the dimensions of socialization, externalization, combination, and internalization each have a positive effect on learning organization, with varying levels of contribution. These findings suggest that the effectiveness of the knowledge conversion process plays a crucial role in building an adaptive and sustainable learning organization within the multifinance industry. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of knowledge management and learning organization literature, as well as provide practical implications for the management of FIFGROUP Central Lampung in formulating strategies to strengthen organizational learning based on the SECI model.
