Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of tax rates, tax knowledge, and tax sanctions on taxpayer compliance. This research employs a quantitative approach using primary data. The population of this study consists of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) taxpayers in Sedati District, Sidoarjo. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, with a total of 50 respondents. The data analysis technique applied is multiple linear regression using SPSS version 22.0. The results indicate that tax rates do not have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, and tax knowledge also does not have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance among MSME taxpayers in Sedati District, Sidoarjo. However, tax sanctions have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance among MSME taxpayers in Sedati District, Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Tourism as a national strategic sector continues to grow in Indonesia. One of the city that continues to develop its tourism is Sumbawa City. Tourism is an important sector developed by the government in the hope that it can have a positive impact on changing socio-economic conditions in a better direction. This study aims to know the influence of the Gelora beach tourist attraction to the socio-economic of Rhee Loka people. This research is a qualitative with qualitative descriptive approach. Techniques of collecting data uses interviews, observation, and documentation. Informant selection technique uses purposive sampling, with validity of data triangulation. The process of data analysis uses interactive analysis by Miles and Huberman, these are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that social change that is appeared in Rhee Loka society is a way of thinking of the society that begin to progress and developing. Changes are also established in the economic field, that is livelihoods and increasing income in Rhee Loka society. Positive impacts are easy to get clean water, new job opportunities, increased welfare, easy road access, advanced in people mindset. While the negative impact is the westernization are copying by local people, and the potential for crime.

Abstract

The financial behavior of Generation Z students who play online games, particularly Roblox, does not yet fully demonstrate effective financial management skills. Challenges such as impulsive spending and difficulty distinguishing between personal needs and digital entertainment are still prevalent and can potentially affect their financial stability. This study aims to analyze the influence of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO), Financial Literacy, and Financial Technology (FinTech) on the financial behavior of Roblox online game players. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method with questionnaires administered to 219 respondents selected through purposive and accidental sampling techniques. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that FOMO has a negative and insignificant effect, whereas Financial Literacy and FinTech have positive and significant effects on the financial behavior of Generation Z Roblox players. An R-square value of 0.632 shows the model’s ability to explain factors influencing financial behavior. This study highlights the importance of psychological management and digital literacy in shaping wiser financial behavior among Generation Z students who play online games like Roblox.

Abstract

Tourism destination management is currently required not only to provide adequate accessibility and facilities, but also to create tourist satisfaction in order to encourage positive word of mouth. In reality, many tourist destinations still face limitations in terms of access and facilities, which can affect tourist satisfaction and reduce their willingness to recommend the destination to others. In addition, studies that examine word of mouth from an Islamic perspective remain limited, particularly in the context of nature-based tourism. This study aims to analyze the effect of accessibility and facilities on word of mouth, with tourist satisfaction as a mediating variable, as well as the moderating role of Islamic perspective among visitors to Curup Gangsa Tourism Destination. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Square–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that accessibility and facilities have a positive and significant effect on word of mouth, both directly and indirectly through tourist satisfaction. Furthermore, the Islamic perspective is found to strengthen this relationship, suggesting that values such as honesty, justice, and convenience play an important role in shaping tourists’ recommendation behavior. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technical aspects of tourism destinations with Islamic values in tourism management.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the Tourism Development Strategy on the Economic Empowerment of Coastal Communities in Pesisir Tengah District, Pesisir Barat Regency, viewed through the perspective of Islamic Economics. Coastal tourism holds significant potential as a leading sector that can enhance the welfare of the local community. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method, involving 100 respondents from the coastal community in Pesisir Tengah District. The data were analyzed using Simple Linear Regression Analysis and Hypothesis Testing (T-test). The results indicate that the community's perception of both the Tourism Development Strategy and the Economic Empowerment of Coastal Communities variables is in the very high category (above 90%). Statistically, the hypothesis test proves that the Tourism Development Strategy has a positive and significant influence on the Economic Empowerment of Coastal Communities. This is evidenced by the tcount value of 2.482, which is greater than ttable (1.660), with a significance value of 0.015 which is less than 0.05. The implemented strategy, such as capacity building and access to capital, is proven effective in empowering the local economy. Furthermore, this tourism development is assessed as being in alignment with the principles of Islamic Economics, emphasizing maslahah (public interest), justice, and balance in social, economic, and environmental aspects, thereby creating comprehensive and sustainable welfare.

Abstract

This study explores the mediating role of impulsive buying on the influence of price perception, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), and financial literacy on the financial management of Gen Z TikTok Shop Users at Dian Nuswantoro University. With the results of a descriptive quantitative approach of 122 respondents, using non-probability sampling techniques specifically purposive sampling and snowball sampling, it was found that price perception and FOMO were proven to have a significant positive effect and thus play a strong role in increasing impulsive behavior. Conversely, financial literacy had a significant negative effect, low financial literacy encouraged unplanned spending to increase. Impulsive buying was proven to mediate the relationship between the influence of price perception, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO), and financial literacy on individual financial management. The results of the study support the need for the reach of objects and variables related to the financial management of the younger generation on various digital platforms.

Abstract

The Indonesian skincare industry is characterized by intense competition, making consumers highly sensitive to negative experiences and the attractiveness of alternative brands. This study aims to analyze the effect of negative customer experience and alternative attractiveness on switching intention, with dissatisfaction as an intervening variable among MS Glow consumers in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The sample consisted of MS Glow consumers who had used the products and experienced negative outcomes. The results indicate that negative customer experience and alternative attractiveness have a positive and significant effect on dissatisfaction. Furthermore, dissatisfaction has a positive and significant effect on switching intention. Both negative customer experience and alternative attractiveness also directly influence switching intention. Mediation analysis confirms that dissatisfaction plays a significant intervening role. These findings highlight the importance of managing customer experience and strengthening competitive advantages to reduce brand switching intentions in the local skincare industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between communication and work environment on work engagement with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at AirNav Indonesia Semarang Branch. This study was motivated by the low level of employee work engagement. The approach used was quantitative with the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The study population was all 62 employees of AirNav Indonesia Semarang Branch, so a saturated sampling technique was used. Data were collected through a Likert-scale 5 questionnaire. The results showed that communication and work environment had a significant effect on job satisfaction and work engagement, and job satisfaction acted as a mediating variable in the relationship between communication and work environment on work engagement.

Abstract

This study was prompted by the massive escalation in the use of financial technology (fintech) among students, particularly in Batam City, which serves as a competitive industrial and service hub. Although this digital innovation offers transaction convenience, unrestricted access has the potential to lead to consumptive behavior if not balanced with a mature financial attitude and a supportive social environment. Based on this phenomenon, this study aims to evaluate the influence of fintech, financial attitude, and social environment on the financial management behavior of Accounting students in Batam City. The research approach used is descriptive quantitative with a survey questionnaire method. The study sample involved 267 respondents selected through purposive sampling, with the size determined using the Slovin formula to ensure data representation. All data were analyzed statistically using multiple linear regression via IBM SPSS Statistics 30. The research findings reveal that fintech, financial attitude, and social environment consistently provide a significant influence on students' financial behavior, both partially and simultaneously. In conclusion, the integration of intelligent technology utilization, sound personal financial principles, and a positive social ecosystem are the main determinants in creating disciplined, healthy, and accountable financial management in the digital economic era.

Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting has recently gained increasing attention in human resource management studies as it reflects a decline in work engagement without formal resignation. In the context of foundation-based educational organizations, teachers as professional workers face complex job demands, including academic, administrative, and emotional responsibilities. These conditions may influence teachers’ work behavior, particularly their tendency toward quiet quitting. This study aims to examine the effects of workload, job stress, and job satisfaction on quiet quitting among teachers at Foundation X. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of all teachers at Foundation X, totaling 92 respondents; therefore, a census sampling technique was applied. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a six-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that workload has a positive and significant effect on quiet quitting, job stress has a negative but insignificant effect on quiet quitting, and job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on quiet quitting. Furthermore, workload, job stress, and job satisfaction simultaneously influence quiet quitting among teachers at Foundation X. These findings suggest that high job demands without adequate job resources may encourage teachers to limit their work engagement as an adaptive response. Therefore, managing workload proportionally and enhancing job satisfaction are crucial strategies to reduce quiet quitting tendencies in foundation-based educational institutions.
