Abstract

Utilization of communication and computer technology has spread into various fields. Begin from the world of entertainment, education, business, health, life-style, and also the tourist field. Nowadays, still lack of the information related to the city of Surabaya as historical information, information about tourist sites, and others. This research conduct to develop an application to explore the history of the city of Surabaya as historic sites, tourist sites, museums, and the event agenda in town. With this application, the user is expected to be able to learn about the history of the city of Surabaya in the interesting form by combining text, picture, sound, and Google map facilities, as well as well as the promotion of tourism and events agenda are hosted in the city of Surabaya. Surabaya Heritage Applications created on a web-based application that is intended for public to know better about the history, tourism objects, as well as the event agenda in the city of Surabaya. Based from the testing results, the application was able to perform functions such as pre-planned. Meanwhile, testing by sampling questionnaires to the user produce that the application is attracting interest from users by 85%. It can be concluded that the applications made quite meet the target research.

Abstract

Most people argue that Information System (IS)/Information System (IT) investments are closely related to cost and benefit without understand the benefit that will be received. However, companies keep investing money to create application systems because they have seen some relationship between the costs of IT and the economic performance of company. Costs are much easier to identify and calculate then benefits, especially intangible benefits. The hardest and most tedious part is the effort to quantify intangible benefits into monetary values in order to make the cost-benefit analysis more accurate. Most of business and IS/IT managers prefer not to go into detail when talking about intangible benefits because the depth of analysis is uncertain. The more practical way in using this financial approach is to focus on tangible benefits, such as cost saving, reduced staff, etc. Unfortunately, reducing or even eliminating the intangible benefits contribution to the IS/IT implementation has degraded the economic value of the investment. Based on this issue, some thinkers have introduced a much more practical way for business and IS/IT managers to get snapshots of how IS/IT investment is going to be measured, for example, using the non-financial approach. Some people believe that the two approaches must be combined to have a better and more accurate result. In this paper, information economics methodology, which combines both financial and non-financial approaches, will be used to assess and justify IS/IT investment. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Investasi Sistem Informasi (SI)/Teknologi Informasi (TI) seringkali hanya dipandang sebagai suatu biaya yang harus dikeluarkan tanpa tahu manfaat apa yang akan diperoleh. Akan tetapi investasi terhadap suatu sistem aplikasi terus dilakukan karena perusahaan melihat bahwa ada hubungan antara biaya TI dengan performa ekonomi dari perusahaan. Biaya lebih mudah diidentifikasikan dan dihitung dibandingkan manfaat, khususnya untuk manfaat yang sifatnya tidak nyata (intangible). Sebagian besar manajer SI/TI dan perusahaan cenderung tidak masuk ke dalam detil jika berbicara tentang manfaat tidak nyata karena kedalaman analisisnya tidak jelas. Kebanyakan, cara praktis dalam menggunakan pendekatan finansial berfokus pada manfaat nyata (tangible benefit), seperti penghematan biaya, pengurangan pegawai dan sebagainya. Sayangnya, pengurangan atau bahkan pengeliminasian kontribusi manfaat tidak nyata terhadap implementasi SI/TI telah menurunkan nilai ekonomis dari investasi.Berdasarkan persoalan ini, beberapa ahli memperkenalkan cara yang lebih praktis untuk manajer SI/TI dan perusahaan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang bagaimana investasi diukur, contohnya dengan menggunakan pendekatan non-finansial. Beberapa orang percaya bahwa dua pendekatan harus digabungkan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih baik dan akurat. Pada karya tulis ini, akan digunakan metodologi information economics yang menggabungkan kedua pendekatan baik finansial maupun non-finansial untuk menilai dan melakukan justifikasi terhadap investasi SI/TI. Abstract

As the world of information and communication technology grows, it is becoming increasingly important for the role of technology as the primary information processor in every line of human life today. It can be concluded that the current role of technology has evolved into needs, not just corporate or academic interests. This creates the birth of a new economy marked by the high penetration of the use of IT (Information Technology) in the business transaction process, so the concept evolves into a smart business, thus improving business performance. So the concept of SAP Business Object to be applied this can help improve the company's performance to continue to innovate on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Three-Phase Dependency Analysis (TPDA) algorithm was proved as most efficient algorithm (which requires at most O(N4) Conditional Independence (CI) tests). By integrating TPDA with "node topological sort algorithm", it can be used to learn Bayesian Network (BN) structure from missing value (named as TPDA1 algorithm). And then, outlier can be reduced by applying an "outlier detection & removal algorithm" as pre-processing for TPDA1. TPDA2 algorithm proposed consists of those ideas, outlier detection & removal, TPDA, and node topological sort node.

Abstract

Tiling is a process to create a repetitive - larger size - image. However if the picture on the left side of the original image is not continuous to the picture on its right side, the tiling image will have a virtual vertical line called seam. Meanwhile the virtual horizontal line will appear if the picture on the top side of the original image is not continuous to the picture on its bottom side. The research performed here tries to generate a seamless tiling image by finding the closest match of the fractional source image to the partially build resulted image. From the experiment, it can be shown that the quality of the resulted image are affected by the number of similar elements in the source image, the number of fractional images created from the source image, and the width of the overlap area. Source image with a lot of similar element, high number of fractional images, and wider size of the overlap area have been proven to yield a seamless tiling image.

Abstract

In this paper, dental arch form classification system using back propagation algorithm is proposed. Some features of dental arch are selected for neural network input based on statistical analysis to dependent variables of dental arch. The system contains some features for training and testing the neural network, and for recognizing the arch form based on input parameters. The experiment uses randomly selected data set contains 190 numerical data of upper dental arch that are extracted from dental model images. The images were obtained by scanning the original 3D dental models of Indonesian patient that were collected from some orthodontic clinics in Jakarta. This experimental result shows that 76,3158% of correctness in classifying the arch form can be reached by neural network system. The system can be applied for supporting the orthodontic treatment. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam tulisan ini, dipaparkan hasil pengembangan system klasifikasi bentuk lengkung gigi berbasis algoritma propagasi balik jaringan saraf tiruan. Sejumlah fitur bentuk lengkung gigi dipilih sebagai input jaringan saraf tiruan berdasarkan hasil pengujian secara statistik terhadap variabel bentuk lengkung gigi. Piranti lunak dikembangkan terdiri dari sejumlah fitur yang digunakan untuk pengujian dan pelatihan JST, serta pengenalan bentuk lengkung berdasarkan parameter input yang diberikan oleh peng-guna. Eksperimen dilakukan terhadap data numerik hasil ekstraksi citra digital model cetakan lengkung gigi rahang atas sejumlah 190 orang pasien yang diambil secara acak. Citra lengkung gigi diperoleh dengan melakukan pemindaian terhadap model cetakan lengkung gigi tiga dimensi (3D) pasien ortodonti disejumlah klinik di Jakarta. Hasil uji coba menunjukkan bahwa 76,3158% berhasil diklasifikasikan dengan benar oleh sistem berbasis JST tersebut. Ke depannya sistem akan dikembangkan lebih optimal sehingga dapat diguna- kan untuk mendukung perawatan ortodonti.

Abstract

A special method is needed to obtain an image with wide perspective angle & minimal distortion. This article will describe a method to process several images with normal (small) perspective angle to form a single image with 360° perspective angle. Those normal images have overlapping parts & this process will form a seamless concatenation between each pair of those normal images. Other methods, that are already common, work base on view transformation to all part of normal images. In those methods, there are reference image and will-be-combined image. The will-be-combined image is transformed so that the objects in this image look like have been captured from the same angle as the reference image. These methods will generate a greater distortion for a wider perspective-angle concatenation so they hardly can be applied to generate a 360° panoramic image. The method that will be described below differs from other methods in its view transformation. By applying view transformation only to overlapping parts of those normal images, an accumulation of distortion can be avoided so that it is possible to generate a 360° panoramic image. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Metode khusus diperlukan untuk membentuk citra dengan sudut pandang yang lebar & distorsi yang kecil. Artikel ini akan menjelaskan sebuah metode untuk memproses sekelompok citra dengan sudut pandang normal (kecil) menjadi sebuah citra dengan sudut pandang 360°. Citra-citra normal tersebut memiliki bagian tumpang-tindih & proses ini akan membentuk penyambungan yang halus antara setiap pasangan citra normal tersebut. Metode-metode lain yang sudah umum, bekerja berdasarkan transformasi geometri pada seluruh bagian citra-citra normal. Dalam metode-metode tersebut, ada citra acuan dan citra yang akan digabungkan. Citra yang akan digabungkan ditransformasi sehingga obyek-obyek dalam citra tampak dilihat dari sudut pandang yang sama dengan citra acuan. Metode-metode ini akan menghasilkan distorsi yang semakin besar untuk penggabungan sudut pandang yang makin besar sehingga tidak dapat diterapkan untuk pembentukan citra panorama 360°. Metode yang akan dijelaskan dibawah ini berbeda dengan metode-metode lain dalam transformasi geometri-nya. Dengan menerapkan transformasi geometri hanya terhadap bagian tumpang-tindih dari citra-citra normal tersebut, penumpukan distorsi dapat dihindari sehingga memungkinkan untuk membentuk citra panorama 360°. Abstract

Semantic Web is a branch of field that provides infrastructure for the exchange of information from various resources based on the combined meaning contained in the information exchanged and the relationship between one particular meaning to another. In the semantic web, there are semantics, which connect a set of data that has a meaning which allows occurrence of the exchange of information. The aim of this study is to make rules used in the process of transformation from the RDF document to be RDF graph, the data model so that it can provide semantic meaning in a web of visual content (graphic). By using these rules, a case can be made based graphical tool that can help the designer in created the data model. The results are models form of graphical data input from text-based documents RDF. For the transformation process, starting with a separate document, then taken sequentially the object, and then take the attributes of the object, and the last search for the relationship of each object that is.

Abstract

Today, many property's sellers and buyers are still using newspaper as an advertisement for sellers, and as an information for buyers. Actually they find that newspapers are not reliable enough, because when they lost their newspaper, they will lose any information related to them. Furthermore, searching properties newspapers are not efficient enough and it takes much time to find any information they want. An application to sell and find property based on the web using database to save information related to them, will make easier for buyers and sellers to find the information, compared ti newspaper. They can find it directly and quickly thru the Internet using find and search facilities. This application, uses database server MySQL as a database making, PHP4 as a programming language, and Linux as the operating system. The facilities in www.idaman.com are find and search properties, member registration, and member area. The result in this application's testing shows that the application runs normally and it can be accessed in different places in the world using the Internet. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pada umumnya para penjual maupun calon pembeli properti masih menggunakan cara yang lama, dimana para penjual dan calon pembeli masih menggunakan koran sebagai alat perantara. Apabila koran tersebut sudah hilang maka penjual maupun pencari tidak dapat mencari informasi diperlukan. Selain itu pencarian properti menggunakan koran kurang praktis. Pengembangan suatu aplikasi jual dan cari properti berbasis web dengan menggunakan database untuk menyimpan data-data properti yang akan dijual, dapat memudahkan pencari informasi properti untuk menjual dan membeli properti dibandingkan menggunakan koran, karena dengan adanya fasilitas cari atau search sangat membantu dalam pencarian properti. Pada aplikasi ini dilakukan pembuatan database dengan menggunakan database server MySQL dan perancangan bahasa pemrograman dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP4 yang berjalan pada server dengan sistem operasi Linux. Implementasi yang dilakukan pada www.idaman.com antara lain adalah fasilitas cari properti, pendaftaran anggota dan pemasangan properti. Dari hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang telah dirancang dapat berjalan dengan baik dan dapat diakses dari berbagai tempat terhubung dengan internet. Abstract

ICT covers a broad range of fields in business and therefore makes ICT value difficult to simply define. The main factors that influence the use of ICT are therefore important to look at, as they give a good understanding of the how much influence the organisation has, on achieving value in its given context. The transformational model of ICT use was analysed to establish how SMEs in South Africa achieve business value from ICT and what management practices are most effective. Implications of the research are that management practices are an important factor that influences the value from ICT, and that the more management practices organisations implement, the greater the business value from ICT. Further findings of this study deduced that organisations that are more ICT aware, gain greater business value from ICT, with value achievement from ICT largely within the organisation’s control. This paper concludes with recommendations for future research.
