Abstract

This research is is about the study of capabilities dan peroformance of Ms Visual Studio in order to develop an enterprise application beside of to search "rule of thumb" for developer especially Ms Visual Studio developer when they're plan to give solution for developing enterprise application. The methods are: learning MSF, learning Ms Visual Studio, applying on designing and developing prototype, and making conclusions. For the testing, is used the university information system on the new student admission subsystem on student personal record. Based on the research, can be concluded that Visual Studio 6.0a enterprise edition still too complex for used although that complexcity payed by highly capability to develop enterprise application. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pada penelitian ini dilakukan studi tentang sejauh mana kemampuan Visual Studio 6.0 dari Microsoft untuk pengembangan aplikasi sistem informasi yang berskala enterprise, disamping itu juga untuk mencari pedoman bagi developer khususnya Ms Visual Studio developer dalam memberikan solusi bagi aplikasi enterprise. Metodologi yang dilakukan adalah: mempelajari MSF, mempelajari Visual Studio secara singkat, menerapkannya pada perancangan, pembuatan prototype dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Pada pengujian yang diambil sebegai contoh kasus adalah sistem informasi universitas pada sub bagian penerimaan mahasiswa baru bidang data pribadi mahasiswa. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa Visual Studio 6.0 enterprise edition masih terlalu kompleks untuk digunakan meskipun kekompleksan itu telah dibayar oleh kapabilitas yang tinggi dalam mengembangkan aplikasi enterprise. Abstract

The objective of this study is to map the change dynamic of dengue endemic area in Salatiga, Central Java in 2001-2008. This study is carried out in three stages. The first one is the descriptive survey to find the secondary sociodemographic and epidemiologic data. The second stage is data analysis using spatial association, in this case is Global Moran’s dan Local Moran’s (LISA). The last stage is the interpretation of the result of analysis in form of Moran Scatterplot and LISA map. The result of the study shows that spatial pattern based on the dynamic distribution of Dengue occurrence could be identified using Global Moran’s method. From 2001 to 2008, it could be found that there are hotspots and outlier. The area with high frequency of hotspot is Sidorejo Lor, Mangunsari and Kutowinangun. Using Local Moran’s I method, the spatial pattern of the distribution of dengue could be visualized in form of LISA (Local Indicator Spatial Association) map. The map is categorized into HH, HL, LH dan LL. The ABJ value is not significant with the dengue happenings in each village. The area with high ABJ is not followed by the high value of dengue happening. Based on the choropleth, it could be described that the dengue happening is caused by the dense of the population. The result of this study could be used as a tool to control and identify the cause of dengue.

Abstract

Nowdays, flood should not be a problem for a big city like Surabaya. But in the reality, some areas still have this problem, including ITS's area. There are some areas in which the water stucks and can't flow anywhwere in a long enough period, eventhough they have five pumps of flood. The analysis is based on some factors, the elevations data and the closest point of the waste water channel. The lowest elevation from every area is a place where the water can't flow anywhere, so we must place the pump to the area. The waste water channel also a factor to determine the pump's location. The closer the flood's pump to the waste water channel, the easier the stuck water in lowest areas can be pumped to the big water's stream. The software has already benchmarked with the exist pump's location. The calculation result from the expresion shows that the calculation is appropiate with the manual calculation. It shows that we can use the system to find the efective pump's location and calculate the capacity of the flood's pump technically. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Saat ini, banjir semestinya sudah bukan merupakan masalah, terutama bagi kota besar seperti Surabaya. Tetapi kenyataannya, beberapa areal masih juga mempunyai masalah tersebut, tidak terkecuali areal ITS. Masih ditemukan beberapa areal yang mengalami genangan air cukup lama, padahal telah terpasang lima pompa banjir. Analisis dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor serta pemberian bobot pada data elevasi dan titik terdekat saluran pembuangan air. Elevasi terendah di setiap areal adalah tempat genangan air terjadi, oleh sebab itu pemasangan pompa banjir selalu berada di tempat tersebut. Saluran pembuangan air juga merupakan faktor dalam penentuan letak pompa banjir. Semakin dekat pompa banjir dengan saluran pembuangan air, maka air yang terkumpul pada setiap areal dapat dipompa ke saluran besar. Perangkat lunak yang telah dibuat telah diujicobakan dan kemudian dibandingkan dengan letak pompa banjir yang telah ada. Hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus yang telah ada, menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan perangkat lunak ini telah sesuai dengan perhitungan manual yang didapatkan. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mencari letak pompa banjir yang efektif dan menghitung kapasitas pompa banjir secara teknis. Abstract

Weather is one of the nature elements that can influence decision making in human's life. Based on that issue, the author wants to make an application that is able to predict weather with good accuracy. The application is a weather forecasting system, using computer technology that implements expert system. The methods used are Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) and Case Based Reasoning (CBR), and a combination of both methods will applied to the system. The system also has learning methods like Backpropagation Error (BPE) and Recursive Least Error (RLSE), to increase its accuracy. Clustering and data cleaning also done inside the system, as it needed by forecasting process to achieve a good result. K-Means is the clustering algorithm, while Box and Whisker Plot is the algorithm for data cleaning. The result from this project is to create a weather forecasting system with high accuracy.

Abstract

Multilevel Marketing (MLM) is a marketing method that sells the product directly to the customers. And this method has been booming in Indonesia at this moment. MLM itself is a directly selling system through marketing program conformed more than one level, where the trading partner can get selling commission and bonus from the result of selling goods or services those did by itself and the members of network inside their own group. PT. Mediderma Indonesia is a firm which imports consumer goods from Europe. This firm uses MLM to sell their products and the distributor might come from any cities in Indonesia. Now, to get information about the product and the growth of member's network, a member must come or call the branch of the firm. As a result, every member will feel difficult to get the new information about their network and bonus which they get every month. Therefore, this research will develop a web site that can be accessed 24 hours through internet by the members. As a result, the members will get their information they need easier every time. Based on the evaluation of the facilities that are available for members and administrator and the system developed, it can be concluded that the whole system work properly and ready to be used. From the result of questionnaire, the implementation has gained 85,243 % for member's satisfaction and 85 % for administrator's satisfaction. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Multilevel Marketing (MLM) merupakan suatu metode pemasaran Direct Selling yang sedang berkembang di Indonesia akhir-akhir ini. MLM sendiri adalah sistem penjualan langsung melalui program pemasaran berbentuk lebih dari satu tingkat, dimana mitra usaha mendapat komisi penjualan dan bonus penjualan dari hasil penjualan barang/jasa yang dilakukannya sendiri dan anggota jaringan di dalam kelompoknya. PT. Mediderma Indonesia adalah sebuah perusahaan yang mengimpor barang-barang kebutuhan sehari-hari dari Eropa. Perusahaan ini menggunakan sistem pemasaran barang berbasis multilevel marketing, dimana anggota-anggotanya dapat berasal dari seluruh Indonesia. Selama ini, untuk memperoleh informasi produk terbaru dan perkembangan jaringan harus datang ke perusahaan atau melalui telpon serta informasi bonus hanya dapat diketahui pada akhir bulan. Akibatnya, setiap angggota akan mengalami kesulitan dalam mendapatkan informasi-informasi terbaru dari perusahaan seperti informasi omzet jaringan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini akan menghasilkan sebuah sistem informasi berupa web site yang dapat diakses online 24 jam lewat internet oleh banyak anggotanya sehingga setiap informasi tentang perusahaan dan informasi mengenai anggota tersebut dapat diperoleh setiap saat. Berdasarkan dari pengujian fasilitas-fasilitas yang tersedia untuk member dan administrator serta pengujian sistem untuk menghasilkan informasi disimpulkan bahwa sistem secara keseluruhan berjalan dengan baik dan siap digunakan. Sedangkan untuk mengetahui tingkat kepuasan digunakan kuisioner, hasilnya sebesar 85,243 % member dan sebesar 85 % administrator mengatakan hasil yang positif, sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa sistem web site berjalan dengan baik. Abstract

Berbagai macam aplikasi open source menjadi peluang untuk dapat menciptakan aplikasi permainan yang bernilai positif bagi perkembangan kecerdasan anak Sekolah Dasar (SD) dan dapat digunakan untuk berkompetisi dan berprestasi dalam hal wawasan ilmu pengetahuan. Kegiatan cerdas cermat pendidikan dasar khususnya pada tingkat SD menjadi objek potensial dalam pemanfaatan teknologi berbasis open source. Aplikasi cerdas cermat online realtime untuk Sekolah Dasar merupakan salah satu perangkat teknologi untuk bermain, berkompetisi, dan berprestasi, sebagai sarana meningkatkan ilmu pengetahuan siswa di tingkat pendidikan dasar. Aplikasi berbasis web ini dibangun dengan menggunakan metode prototipe. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) Requirement aplikasi untuk permainan cerdas cermat online ini berdasarkan tiga requirement, yaitu teknik menjawab pertanyaan secara realtime, leveling, dan banyak pengguna; 2) Aplikasi cerdas cermat online realtime ini diimplementasikan di dalam fungsi pertanyaan babak rebutan; 3) Perilaku kompetisi yang diterapkan dalam aplikasi cerdas cermat online realtime dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar, pengetahuan dan kompetisi siswa SD dalam ruang lingkup yang lebih luas. Aplikasi yang telah dibangun dapat dikembangkan lagi dengan menambahkan fitur leveling yang sudah ada dengan semua tingkatan kelas di sekolah dasar dan progress peningkatan kemampuan pengetahuan pengguna. Monitoring ini dapat digunakan sebagai nilai tambah dan penghargaan (reward) bagi sekolah maupun masyarakat kepada para siswa yang berkompetisi di dalamnya, dan sebagai dasar pengembangan bahan ajar guru.

Abstract

The relational data model approach is still used broadly in developing of data and information storage of the most application systems. The main restricted of using the relational model data das not support dynamically in storing information in which much more semantically of the knowledge must be kept on that data. On other hand, if information intend to be considered more formally concrete knowledge as in reality, it's difficult to retrieve the persistent data or information on the various ways of the user need. This paper has researched, analysed, and discussed of data modelling by using an ontology model based approached on constructing the data bank of flight schedule information as knowledge bases model. A protégé ontology software is used to arrange a model of flight schedule information in form of classes hierarchical, slots, and instances. The flight ontology model that has built can indicate much more semantics of flight schedule information. Additionally, the model can be used easily in form of many way of user perception need in order to make queries and results. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pendekatan model data relasional masih banyak dimanfaatkan untuk menyimpan data dan informasi terhadap banyak sistem aplikasi. Namun kendala utama menggunakan model relasional yang masih dirasakan hingga saat ini, adalah model data relasional kurang dinamis untuk mendukung penyimpanan informasi yang lebih bermakna secara semantis. Atau jika informasi yang disimpan dapat dipandang sebagai pengetahuan-pengetahuan yang lebih kongkrit, maka untuk melakukan pencarian dengan berbagai variasi pengetahuan terhadap data dan informasi akan menjadi sangat terbatas. Pada makalah telah diteliti, dianalisis, dan dibahas pemanfaatan sebuah pendekatan model data berbasis ontologi untuk menyimpan suatu basis data pengetahuan jadwal penerbangan. Dengan menggunakan protégé, model pengetahuan jadwal penerbangan disusun kedalam bentuk ontologi secara hirarki kelas, slot, dan instant. Model ontologi yang disusun mampu mendeskripsikan informasi jadwal penerbangan secara lebih semantis. Dan disamping itu, dari model yang telah dikembangkan menunjukan bahwa berbagai cara pengguna (menurut persepsi masing-masing) untuk melakukan pencarian informasi penerbangan ataupun hasil query dapat dibentuk secara lebih mudah. Kata kunci: semantis ontologi, manajemen pengetahuan, informasi cerdas, proses pengembangan ontologi.

Abstract

Taking attendance from employees always becomes a problem for Human Resource Department (HRD) in many companies lately. Although there is an automatic check-lock machine, it still has a weakness. This machine can't detect some frauds like the employee swipes double identity card, his card and the others card. Reseachers want to solve this problem by using data mining method, especially market basket analysis.This software will transform the attendance data to compact transaction format by using MaxDiff Histogram method. And it will be processed into frequent itemset with Pincer Search Algoritm. At the final process the employee's association rule will got from frequent itemset. This output will be served to user that is the HRD of a firm.Testing result shows that Data Mining Market Basket Analysis can be used to get pattern of employee's check-lock from a company. And this pattern can help user to detect fraud that is done by employee. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Absensi pegawai selama ini selalu menjadi permasalahan yang pelik bagi bagian HRD di perusahaan - perusahaan yang ada. Walaupun telah ada peralatan absensi otomatis, alat ini masih memiliki kelemahan yaitu, tidak dapat mendeteksi kecurangan pegawai untuk menitipkan kartu absensinya pada karyawan lain untuk diabsenkan. Peneliti berkeinginan untuk mengatasi permasalahan absensi tersebut dengan memanfaatkan metode data mining, khususnya metode market basket analysis, untuk mendeteksi kecurangan ini.Perangkat lunak yang dibuat ini akan mentranformasikan data absensi pegawai menggunakan metode MaxDiff Histogram menjadi format compact transaction yang selanjutnya akan diproses menggunakan Algoritma Pincer Search menjadi frequent itemset. Pada akhirnya dari data frequent itemset ini didapat association rule pegawai untuk disajikan kepada pengguna, yaitu bagian HRD perusahaan.Dari hasil pengujian dapat diketahui bahwa metode Data Mining Market Basket Analysis dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menggali pattern kebiasaan absensi (check-lock) pegawai sebuah perusahaan. Dari sini kemungkinan terjadinya kecurangan saat melakukan absensi masuk / pulang dapat dideteksi. Abstract

This paper presents a project of Web-based Distance Learning support system. The system has been built based on the Internet and World Wide Web facility. The system could be accessed with a web browser which is directed to a certain web server address so that students can do learning process just like in the real situation, such as student admissions, taking course materials, syllabus, assignments, students grades, class discussions through web, and doing online quizzes. Students could also join collaboration works by giving opinions, feedback and student produced paper/web which can be shared to the entire learning community. Therefore, it will build a collaborative learning environment where lectures together with students make constructive knowledge databases for entire learning community. This system has been developed based on Active Server Pages (ASP) technology from Microsoft which is embedded in a web server. Web pages reside in a web server which is connected to an SQL Database Server. Database server is used to store structured data such as lectures/students personal information, course lists, syllabus and its descriptions, announcement texts from lecturers, commentaries for discussion forum, student's study evaluations, scores for each assignment, quizzes for each course, assignments text from lectures, assignments which are collected by students and students contribution/materials. This system has been maintained by an administrator for maintaining and developing web pages using HTML. The administrator also does ASP scripts programming to convert web pages into active server pages. Lectures and students could contribute some course materials and share their ideas through their web browser. This web-based collaborative learning system gives the students more active role in the information gathering and learning process, making the distance students feel part of a learning community, therefore increasing motivation, comprehension and interaction with other students.

Abstract

The central problem of most Content Based Image Retrieval approaches is poor quality in terms of sensitivity (recall) and specificity (precision). To overcome this problem, the semantic gap between high-level concepts and low-level features has been acknowledged. In this paper we introduce an approach to reduce the impact of the semantic gap by integrating high-level (semantic) and low-level features to improve the quality of Image Retrieval queries. Our experiments have been carried out by applying two hierarchical procedures. The first approach is called keyword-content, and the second content-keyword. Our proposed approaches show better results compared to a single method (keyword or content based) in term of recall and precision. The average precision has increased by up to 50%.
