This final project is a comparative study in experimental design that aims at investigating whether there is any significant difference of the achievements in writing descriptive texts of students who are taught by using flashcards and those who are taught by using BBC Nature videos with an assumption that these media can help them to interpret the content of the course. The subjects of the study were the eight grade students of SMA N Bangun Purba, Rokan Hulu in the academic year of 2023. There were two groups that were given different treatments. The first group was the control group who was taught by using flashcards, and the second group was the experimental group who was taught by using BBC Nature videos. There were seven meetings for each class;one meeting was for the pre test, five meetings were for treatments and one meeting for the post test. In the test, the students of the control group used the flashcards and the experimental group used the BBC Nature videos to write a descriptive text based on the topic provided: animal. The result of this research showed that the pre-test average scores of the two groups were nearly the same. The means of the pre-tests were 65.07 (the control group) and 65.47 (the experimental group). The slight difference between the two groups indicated that they were similar learning basis. After the control and the experimental groups were given different treatments, the score of the two groups increased. The means turned into 76.67 for the control group and 84.00 for the experimental group. The improvement were 11.60 (the control group), and 18.53 (the experimental group). The result of t-test based on the difference of two means revealed that the obtained value (3.86) was higher than t-table value for α = 5% (2.00). It means that there was a significant difference between the students who were taught with flashcards and those who were taught with BBC Nature videos. Based on the result above, it is concluded that in this study BBC Nature videos are more effective than flashcards to improve students‟ ability in writing a descriptive text. It is suggested that video can be used as alternative media for teaching descriptive text. Further research is suggested to be carried out for a better understanding of this field.

This study was conducted based on the fact that writing is the most difficult skill for students to master. Students face difficulties in learning writing. They are not sure of how to arrange sentences into good paragraphs, how to develop their ideas, they have lack of vocabulary and tend to use only certain words they have known in writing. They also apply incorrect grammar in their writing. Teacher considers that teaching writing is a difficult task. This final project is about teaching writing recount text by using peer review technique to the eighth graders students of SMP N 1 Tambusai Utara in the academic year of 2022. The aim of this study is to find out how peer review technique can be implemented to improve students‟ skill in writing recount text. In order to achieve the objectives, an action research was designed and carried out in this study. The participants of this study were 38 students of class VIII D of SMP N 1 Tambusai Utara in the academic year of 2022. Questionnaire, observation sheet, and writing tests were used as the instruments for collecting data. The results of the study showed significant improvement of the students‟ achievement in writing recount text. It is proven by the average results in every test; pre test (63.00), formative test (74.29), and post test (79.50). The students‟ writing skill (organization, content, grammar, punctuation, and style and quality of expression) in each test improved, too. Moreover, the result of the observation sheet showed that peer review technique changed the students‟ learning behavior being better than before. Their enthusiasm during the learning process increased in each cycle. The analysis result of questionnaire showed that peer review technique was useful to most of students to improve their learning interest in writing recount text. Their perception changed positively after having the treatment. It meant that the use of peer review technique could ease their problem in writing English especially recount text based on the results of those research instruments, it can be concluded that using peer review technique as a learning technique gives the improvement to students‟ skill in writing recount text.

The objectives of this study are to know how is DRAW strategy applied in teaching reading comprehension of narrative text and in what ways are students‟ achievement improved after being taught by this strategy. The writer collected the data by using classroom action research. The action research was carried out in some steps. Those steps were pre-elimination test, spiraling the cycle of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The instruments that were used are tests, observation sheets and questionnaires. DRAW strategy is one of strategies that can be applied in teaching reading. D represents draw as in pull questions out of the box. R is for read to find the answer. A stands for attend as in listen to what classmates say as they discuss answers to drawn questions. And W represents write; students write answers to a selected few questions based on their notes from the class discussion. With DRAW, students work in small groups to discuss a text and respond to questions that involve critical thinking. In short, DRAW strategy encourages higher order thinking, motivates students in gaining information, promotes discussion, encourages listening, and promotes participation. The preelimination test in this classroom action research was used to know the students‟ achievement on reading comprehension of narrative text before conducting the research. In the pre-elimination test, the class‟ mean score was 45.17. In the cycle 1 test, the class‟ mean score was 62.17. And in the cycle 2 test, the class‟ mean score was 74.17. It can be concluded that the class‟ mean score from preelimination test to cycle 1 test improved 37.6% and 64.2% from pre-elimination test to cycle 2 test. In short, the result of each cycle prove that students‟ achievement of reading comprehension was getting better after this strategy was conducted in teaching and learning process. It can be concluded that by using DRAW strategy in reading class, students‟ reading comprehension can be improved. This strategy is a good technique to help students in comprehending English reading texts.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh data yang menunjukan perolehan motivasi belajar yang rendah akibatnya hasil belajar peserta didik juga rendah.Untuk mencapai motivasi belajar anak yamg meningkat dan hasil belajar peneliti melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk mengetahui akar penyebab masalah dari aktifitas belajar peserta didik kelas VII SMP. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mencoba melaksanakan pembelajaran inovasi menggunakan pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Pembelajaran inovasi ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui hal- hal apa saja yang terjadi didalam aktifitas belajar siswa dan bagaimana meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar sehingga hasil belajar siswa meningkat dalam pelajaran Bahasa Inggris materi Descriptive text dengan menggunakan metode Think Pair Share dapat berjalan sesuai yang diharapkan. Adapun pelaksanaan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar anak melalui perbaikan pada siklus 1 dan siklus 2 dengan melakukan desain prosedur perbaikan, pengamatan, teknik analisis data serta melakukan refleksi diri untuk pendidik. Dari hasil pengamatan pendidik, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak dalam menggunakan metode Think Pair Share.

PTK ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran High Order Thinking Skill dengan Model Discovery Learning materi Pembagian dan ruang lingkup di kelas XII.IPS 2 tahun ajaran 2021/2022 di SMAN 2 Tambang. Hasil dari PTK adalah pembelajaran HOTS tentangkertas kerja dapat menarik minat belajar peserta didik sehingga peserta didik dapat lebih aktif dalam belajar dan membuar suasana kelas menjadi lebih hidup.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh data yang menunjukan hasil belajar menulis siswa yang rendah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis siswa peneliti melakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) untuk mengetahui akar penyebab masalah dari aktifitas belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMK YPS Prabumulih. Berdasarkan hal tersebut peneliti mencoba melaksanakan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning. Pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui hal-hal apasaja yang terjadi didalam aktifitas belajar siswa dan bagaimana cara meningkatkan hasil belajar menulis siswa pelajaran Bahasa Inggris materi NarrativeText dengan menggunakan metode DiscoveryLearning dapatberjalan sesuai yang diharapkan.Adapun pelaksanaan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar anak melalui perbaikan pada siklus1 dan siklus2 dengan melakukan desain prosedur perbaikan, pengamatan,teknik analisis data serta melakukan refleksi diri untuk pendidik.Dari hasil pengamatan pendidik, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan anak dalam menggunakan metode Discovery Learning.

PTK ini merupakan penelitian Tindakan kelas yang mengkaji peningkatan kemampuan Pemahaman konsep VII SMP Negeri 2 Siak Hulu. Pembelajaran ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk mengetahui hal- hal apa saja yang terjadi didalam aktifitas belajar siswa dan bagaimana hasil belajar siswa pada pelajaran Bahasa Inggris materi Descriptivr Text dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Demonstrasi dapat berjalan sesuai yang diharapkan. Proses Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi empat tahap utama yaitu perencanaan, Tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, penggunaan model pembelajaran Demonstrasi dapat meningkatkan mengidentifikasi ciri-ciri dan mendesain bentuk bangun ruang. Tindakan penelitian ini sesuai dengan masalah yang dialami dalam belajar.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan tanggung jawab sosial dan moral siswa melalui penguatan keimanan kepada Hari Akhir di kelas IV SDN 003 Rambah Samo. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek tanggung jawab sosial dan moral siswa setelah dilakukan penguatan keimanan kepada Hari Akhir. Peningkatan terlihat dari hasil observasi yang menunjukkan perubahan perilaku positif siswa baik dalam interaksi sosial maupun dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehari-hari.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SDI Mengeruda dengan menerapkan model Quantum Teaching and Learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas menurut Kemmis and Taggart dengan prosedur penelitian meliputi 4 tahap yaitu, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDI Mengeruda yang berjumlah 32 orang terdiri dari 21 orang laki-laki dan 11 orang perempuan. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes hasil belajar IPA berupa tes objektif (pilihan ganda). Data hasil tes dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil data menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I hasil belajar siswa belum mencapai KKM dimana ketuntasan klasikal yang dicapai hanya 34,37 % dengan rata-rata hasil belajar sebesar 59,68 %. Pada siklus ke II sudah mengalami peningkatan, hal ini terlihat dari hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa sudah mencapai KKM dengan ketuntasan klasikal 93,75 % dan rata- rata hasil belajar IPA 80,93 %. Peningkatan hasil belajar IPA dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan rata–rata total sebesar 70,30 dan persentase kenaikan rata-rata dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 21,25 % dengan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 59,38%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Quantum Teaching and Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA pada siswa kelas V SDI Mengeruda Kecamatan Soa, Kabupaten Ngada Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh branding, cita rasa, dan segmentasi pasar terhadap peningkatan penjualan pada Resto Distrik di Abepura, Kota Jayapura. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 100 responden. Data dianalisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda dan dilengkapi dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap manajer restoran, pelanggan tetap, dan pengelola media sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel independen—branding, cita rasa, dan segmentasi pasar berpengaruh signifikan baik secara parsial maupun simultan terhadap peningkatan penjualan, dengan variabel cita rasa sebagai faktor dominan. Strategi branding yang terintegrasi secara digital dan pendekatan segmentasi yang adaptif turut memperkuat efektivitas pemasaran restoran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan usaha kuliner tidak hanya bergantung pada kualitas produk semata, tetapi juga pada kekuatan identitas merek dan pemahaman terhadap perilaku konsumen lokal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi pengembangan strategi pemasaran berbasis pengalaman dan nilai budaya dalam industri kuliner lokal.
