Abstract

ABSTRACT This study analyzes the critical role of warehouse operational administration as a determinant of effectiveness and efficiency within the supply chain, focusing on the Audio Business Unit of PT XYZ. It posits that robust administrative processes are fundamental to optimizing warehouse performance, which in turn supports broader business unit objectives. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research conducted an in-depth investigation from September 1st to October 31st, 2025, employing data triangulation through direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documents analysis. The findings confirm that the established operational administration system significantly contributes to enhancing warehouse effectiveness measured through accuracy and order fulfillment and efficiency, reflected in resource and time utilization. However, the study also identifies specific procedural and systemic obstacles that constrain peak performance. This research concludes that targeted improvements to the administrative framework are essential for achieving higher levels of operational excellence, thereby directly supporting the strategic goals of the Audio Business Unit. The insights offer a validated model for linking administrative rigor to tangible gains in warehouse performance. Direct observation, documents analysis, and semi-structured interviews are the three main methods of data collection in this research. Direct observation directly observes behavior/events. Semi-structured interviews dig up information through semi-structured conversations. Documents analysis collect data from written or recorded sources. Abstract

Air transportation, as one of the most chosen transportation modes, is frequently susceptible to delays. Flight Delay Insurance offers a vital solution to mitigate the financial losses associated with this risk. Premium pricing is a key factor influencing the decision to purchase this insurance, particularly on Online Travel Agent (OTA) platforms where product offerings are often highly comparable. The aggregate loss method is employed herein to ascertain the net premium (or pure premium) price. The loss severity component (X) is modeled using an empirical distribution, while the loss frequency component (N) is modeled using a Negative Binomial distribution with parameters r =1.3719 and β =102.05. The resulting collective monthly pure premium is Rp 84,000,261, which constitutes 66.71% of the average monthly gross premium revenue earned by the observed OTA platform. Consequently, the pure premium per unit is determined to be Rp 45,649. This study offers a novel contribution by applying the aggregate loss model to empirical data from the Online Travel Agent (OTA) industry in Indonesia, aligned with the national passenger compensation regulatory framework to yield practically accurate premium estimations.

Abstract

The implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into curricula is within the current discourse of education for sustainable development to maintain a curriculum relevant to SDGs. We present findings of a research study that investigated the implementation of SDGs into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curricula in the Global South - Southeast Asia and South Asia. The objectives of the paper are to present findings on 1) the implementation of nine (9) SDGs into TVET curricula, namely, 1 – ‘No Poverty’, 2 – ‘Zero Hunger’, 3 – ‘Good Health and Well-being’, 10 – ‘Reduced Inequalities’, 11 – ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’, 12 – ‘Responsible Consumption and Production’, 14 – ‘Life below Water’, 15 – ‘Life on Land’, and 16 – ‘Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions’, b) the use of vertical and horizontal approaches for the implementation of SDGs into curricula, and c) the existence of significant differences in the implementations in terms of the geographic location of the countries in the Global South - Southeast Asia and South Asia. This explanatory research study was conducted in 11 countries in Southeast Asia (6) and South Asia (5), building on the positivist research paradigm. Data were collected by surveying TVET teachers engaged in tertiary-level science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programmes. Total of 761 responses collected. The findings showed that by using both vertical and horizontal approaches, institutions were committed to implementing the nine SDGs. Still, the hypothesis testing showed that significant differences prevail in the implementation between Southeast Asia and South Asia. The differences by the geographic region of a country imply that regional context, even within the Global South, is a vital consideration when assessing a country’s skill development systems. The findings have ample implications for research, practice, and policymaking not only in the Global South but also in the Global North.

Abstract

The potential for tax revenue from Payroll Tax in Indonesia can still be optimized. In December 2023, the government issued Presidential Regulation Number 55 of 2023 and Minister of Finance Regulation Number 168 of 2023 to alter the payroll tax scheme and simplify the calculation procedures of Income Tax Article 21. Additionally, Director General of Taxes Regulation Number PER-2/PJ/2024 was issued to regulate changes in creating withholding evidence and reporting the periodic Income Tax Article 21/26 return. This paper aims to analyze the impact of the new payroll tax scheme on the tax burden for taxpayers, the new reporting scheme's effect on tax administration regarding ease of administration, and the obstacles in implementing these new schemes. This study is expected to offer useful recommendations for the government and other stakeholders in their efforts to continually improve the national tax system. The research method used is qualitative, with data collected from literature studies and case studies. The results show that changes in the calculation and reporting schemes of Income Tax Article 21/26, viewed from the principle of ease of administration, meet the criteria of convenience, certainty, efficiency, and simplicity. However, implementation faces several obstacles, including minimal time for socializing the regulatory changes, resistance to regulatory changes, technological limitations, and regulatory issues. The broader policy implications of the new payroll tax scheme for tax administration in Indonesia include increased administrative efficiency, better tax compliance, improved tax information systems, simplification of the tax reporting process, and impacts on workforce and salaries

Abstract

Complete Basic Immunization (IDL) is the giving of early immunization to infants before their age below one year old consisting of Hepatitis B, BCG, DPT-HB-Hib, Polio (IPV and OPV) and measles. Giving Immunization to children can prevent the occurrence of disease transmission (PD3I). The lowest IDL coverage in Pekanbaru Community Health Center during the Covid-19 pandemic experienced a significant decrease of 58.1%. The study objective was to analyze low IDL coverage in infants during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method was qualitative with phenomenology design. The study informant was 11 people. Data collection was conducted through in-deep interview, observation and document review. Data analysis was by the content analysis method. The results showed that the low coverage of IDL caused by Human Resources (SDM) for immunization was transferred to the handling of Covid-19, Posyandu was not implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic, the implementation of Immunization in Health Centers was not carried out every month, immunization services were transferred to Independent Practice Midwives (BPM), no report on basic immunization data report from BPM, parents felt safe if immunization in health services that were not crowded, immunization funding in health centers is by the government and monitoring of IDL coverage has been conducted. It can be concluded that the Covid-19 outbreak greatly affects the low coverage of Complete Basic Immunization. It is recommended that the health center advocate to the Health Office for increasing the number health workers, giving training for caders, increase community empowerment through print media such as posters, cooperating with midwife and hospital practices and then creating Whatsapp groups with mothers who have babies to provide information and share about immunization

Abstract

The production effectiveness of agro-industrial MSMEs in remote frontier regions is severely hampered by geographic isolation and lack of basic infrastructure. This study examines the unique case of Luci Snack in North Kalimantan, operating without state electricity or land access. The research aims to analyze how the interaction between Factor Conditions (river logistics and technology) and Demand Conditions influences Production Effectiveness. Employing an embedded single-case study design, data were collected via in-depth interviews with the owner and village officials, participant observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014) interactive model. Findings reveal a paradox: (1) Production effectiveness is not interpreted conventionally as speed or volume, but redefined as an absolute commitment to quality consistency; (2) Limitations in manual technology and isolated logistics are capitalized upon as a "traditional" Unique Selling Point; (3) This superior quality generates a loyal demand pattern that tolerates production speed inefficiencies. The implication is that sustainability for remote MSMEs depends on transforming infrastructure limitations into premium product differentiation rather than volume-based competition.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an important instrument for strengthening local economies in rural areas, particularly through the role of village economic institutions. Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) hold a strategic position in integrating digitalization into business management and community empowerment. This study aims to analyze the role of BUMDes Kuala Dua in the development of digital services as a strategy for enhancing the local economy and to formulate a model for strengthening village-based digital economic institutions. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive analytical method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving the management and business units of BUMDes Kuala Dua. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman, complemented by SWOT analysis. The findings indicate that BUMDes Kuala Dua functions as a facilitator and a networking hub for rural economic digitalization through the development of promotional services and digital content production integrated with other business units. Digitalization contributes to expanded market access, improved promotional efficiency, job creation for young people, and the enhancement of digital literacy and entrepreneurial capacity within the village community. The successful implementation of digitalization is supported by innovative leadership and strong social capital; however, it continues to face structural constraints, including limited infrastructure, funding, and integration with village development programs. This study confirms that rural digitalization is more effective when positioned as an institutional and social process integrated into local economic development strategies.
