Abstract

Purpose – This paper seeks to introduce a fresh dimension to the concept of luxury perception, drawing from a synthesis of previous research frameworks. Consequently, the study underscores the importance of assessing the reliability and validity of variables within a culturally diverse environment, particularly within Indonesia's context. The chance of a business opportunity based on changes in the dynamics of the bicycle market that has occurred since the COVID-19 outbreak is the reason for researchers to investigate consumer buying interest, especially purchasing bicycles.. Methodology/approach – A survey that included information on Luxury Value Perception towards purchase intention that moderated by Disposable income was used to collect data from 414 respondents, whom since the Pandemic outbreak searching and seeking info about buying a bicycle. Findings – It was found that hedonic value, social value, and uniqueness value towards purchase intention were generally significant predictors while the other value have weak significancy, and the disposable income in general were positively and significantly influence the purchase intention.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to analyze online consumer behavior based on subjective norms and risk perceptions regarding online purchases which are mediated by attitude as an intervening variable in e-commerce applications for the Millennial generation. This research was conducted on the Millennial generation born between the years1981 – 1995 in the Jakarta, Bogor, Bekasi and Tangerang Indonesia. This research design is oriented toward a logic approach that explains a causal relationship and a category of concepts because in this research hypothesis testing of the causal relationship of independent variables and dependent variables is used. This research is a quantitative research by analyzing data based on samples from the population carried out randomly with a chance of error (significance level) 0f 5% and a confidence level of 95%.The forms of research are descriptive survey with a decuctive and quantitave approach. Hypoteses are tested by Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) method. Data analysis uses Structural Equation Modelling(SEM) with a sample consisting of 397. The research results show that Subjective Norms does not directly have a positive effect to Online Purchase Intention nor to Attitude for Using E-Commerce Applications. Subjective Norms indirectly does not have a positive effect on Online Purchase Intention through Attitude in Using E-Commerce Applications. Perceived Risk directly has a negative effect on Online Purchase Intention. Perceived Risk does not directly have a negative effect on the Attitude of Using E-Commerce Applications. Perceived Risk Indirectly does not have a negative effect on Online Purchase Intention through Attitude in Using E-Commerce Applications. Attitude The use of E-Commerce Applications directly has a positive effect on Online Purchase Intention. This research showed that millennials belief that online purchasing intention is not influenced by friends, relatives or colleagues. They tend to shop online because they enjoy as long as the application is easy to use. They also realize that online shopping has some risks but they still shop online as long as the application is safe and has a good reputation.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the information technology industry has driven the demand for high-quality IT training. Intensive bootcamp IT programs have increasingly become the primary choice for individuals seeking to enter this industry. Through effective IT bootcamps, individuals can acquire skills that align with the rapidly evolving job market demands, while organizations can attract digitally skilled talent ready to face the challenges of Industry 4.0. As the demand for IT training increases, so does the number of IT bootcamps offering a variety of educational products to meet labor market needs. One of the prominent providers is Hacktiv8 Indonesia. Since its establishment in 2016, Hacktiv8 has faced numerous challenges, one of which is maintaining customer engagement to ensure continued use of its services. This research aims to analyze the influence of Offering Equity, Brand Equity, and Relationship Equity on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty among participants in Hacktiv8 Indonesia’s IT Bootcamp, with a focus on a case study of Hacktiv8. The research method used is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), and the data was collected through an online survey of 150 participants who are currently enrolled or about to enroll in Hacktiv8’s IT Bootcamp. The analysis results are expected to provide better insights into the factors affecting customer satisfaction and loyalty within the context of IT bootcamp training. The practical implications of these findings are anticipated to assist educational and training institutions in enhancing their offering strategies, brand management, and customer relationship building to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty in the future.

Abstract

This research to analyse the effect of training and career development on the performance of police office with work motivation as a mediating variable. The sample in this study were 85 police officers at Polresta Pangkalpinang. The data analysis technique used is SEM SMART-PLS. The results showed that training and career development had a positive and significant effect on the work motivation of Polri members. Furthermore, work motivation also has a positive and significant effect on the performance of police officer. In addition, training and career development were also found to have a positive and significant effect directly on the performance police officers. Work motivation is proven to mediate the effect of training and career development on the performance of police officers. Overall, the results of this study indicate that training, career development, and work motivation are important factors that can improve the performance of police officers at Pangkalpinang Police Station.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of ESG disclosure, hedging policy, and cash holdings on firm value. The sampling method employed is purposive sampling, focusing on energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample consists of 11 companies over the period from 2018 to 2023, yielding a total of 60 observations. The data utilized in this research are secondary, obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports of the companies. Data analysis is conducted using panel data regression analysis. The findings indicate that ESG disclosure does not have a significant impact on firm value. This study reveals that many companies in Indonesia have yet to implement sustainability concepts or publicly disclose ESG information. ESG disclosure remains in a developmental stage and has not been widely adopted, thus it is not a primary consideration for investors. Conversely, the hedging policy positively affects firm value, suggesting that companies that implement hedging strategies can enhance their value. Meanwhile, cash holdings do not exhibit a significant influence on firm value.

Abstract

Abstract The study examined internet addiction on undergraduate students’ academic performance of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State., Nigeria. Five hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Descriptive research design of survey type was adopted for the study. The sample for the study consisted of 200 respondents. A self-developed questionnaire titled “Internet Addiction and Academic Performance Questionnaire (IDAPQ) “were used to collect data from the respondents. The hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using Chi-square and t-test statistics. The findings revealed that there is a significant relationship between internet addiction and academic performance. There is significant influence of internet addiction on students’ academic performance. There is no significant influence of gender on students’ perception of the relationship between internet addiction and academic performance. There is significant influence of gender on students’ perception of the relationship between internet addiction on academic performance. There is significant influence of field of study on students’ perception of the relationship between internet addiction and academic performance. The findings further revealed that there is significant influence of the level of study on students’ perception of the relationship between internet addiction and academic performance. The findings finally revealed that there is significant influence of age on students’ perception of the relationship between internet addiction and academic performance. Based on the findings of the study, the study concluded that internet addiction influences undergraduate’s academic performance. It was therefore recommended among others that School authority should try their best their possible best in providing adequate and essential reading and writing materials needed by students in any level so that such student won’t have any excuse for his or her failure.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the prospector and defender business strategy with 4 proxies, consisting of production & distribution capabilities, company growth level, marketing and fixed asset intensity, is able to minimize taxes owed. From the 71 population of consumer goods industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the 2018-2022 period, a sample of 15 companies was obtained. with 75 observations. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The analytical method used is panel data regression analysis. The research results show that partially each proxy has no effect in minimizing taxes. Meanwhile, simultaneously a business strategy consisting of 4 proxies has an influence in minimizing the tax owed. The research results show that both the defender and prospector strategies implemented by the Company both have the potential to minimize taxes owed.
