Abstract

Student absenteeism from school is one of the problems that can affect students' academic achievement and social development. The causative factors are diverse, including a lack of parental involvement in supporting children's education. In this context, Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers play a crucial role in facilitating communication between schools and parents, especially when there is resistance to efforts to address disciplinary issues. This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies employed by BK teachers in addressing parental resistance related to the problem of student absenteeism at SMK Tujuh Lima 1, Purwokerto. The research method uses case studies with a qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with BK teachers as well as direct observations at schools. The results of the study showed that BK teachers implemented several strategies, including monitoring absences, engaging in intensive communication with parents, conducting home visits to gain a deeper understanding of students' conditions, and providing insight to BK teachers and schools on handling discipline issues. This strategy is expected to increase parental involvement in supporting children's education. Thus, a more conducive learning environment is created, where students feel supported both at school and at home.   Ketidakhadiran siswa di sekolah merupakan salah satu masalah yang dapat memengaruhi prestasi akademik dan perkembangan sosial siswa. Faktor penyebabnya beragam, termasuk kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendukung pendidikan anak. Dalam konteks ini, guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) memiliki peran penting untuk menjembatani komunikasi antara sekolah dan orang tua, terutama ketika terjadi resistensi terhadap upaya penanganan masalah kedisiplinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis strategi yang digunakan oleh guru BK dalam menghadapi resistensi orang tua terkait masalah ketidakhadiran siswa di SMK Tujuh Lima 1 Purwokerto. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan guru BK serta observasi langsung di sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru BK menerapkan beberapa strategi, antara lain pemantauan ketidakhadiran, komunikasi intensif dengan orang tua, pelaksanaan home visit untuk memahami kondisi siswa secara lebih mendalam, serta pemberian wawasan kepada guru BK dan pihak sekolah dalam menangani masalah kedisiplinan. Strategi ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan orang tua dalam mendukung pendidikan anak. Dengan demikian, tercipta lingkungan belajar yang lebih kondusif, di mana siswa merasa didukung baik di sekolah maupun di rumah.

Abstract

The Merariq tradition in the Sasak community of Lombok holds a philosophical significance as a symbol of courage, respect, and transition into domestic life. However, in contemporary practice, this tradition experiences deviations that trigger social problems such as early marriage, marriage without official registration, and family conflicts. This research aims to reconstruct the meaning of the Merariq tradition through the Islamic Counseling Guidance (BKI) approach, in harmony with Islamic values, and contribute to the formation of a harmonious family. The research method employs a qualitative approach, incorporating in-depth interviews with the Sasak community and purposively selected traditional Merariq actors. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using descriptive-analytical techniques, including data reduction, thematic grouping, and critical interpretation. The results of the study show that the public's understanding of Merariq is still culturally strong, but weak in the normative aspects of Islam, thus giving rise to practices that are not in accordance with sharia. The BKI approach is considered relevant for providing post-marriage education and coaching, strengthening the positive values of traditions, and mitigating negative impacts such as early marriage and family conflicts. This research highlights the importance of harmonizing local wisdom with Islamic teachings through Islamic counseling-based education.   Tradisi Merariq pada masyarakat Sasak di Lombok memiliki makna filosofis sebagai simbol keberanian, penghormatan, dan transisi menuju kehidupan rumah tangga. Namun, dalam praktik kontemporer, tradisi ini mengalami penyimpangan yang memicu masalah sosial seperti pernikahan dini, pernikahan tanpa pencatatan resmi, dan konflik keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan merekonstruksi makna tradisi Merariq melalui pendekatan Bimbingan Konseling Islam (BKI) agar selaras dengan nilai-nilai Islam dan berkontribusi pada pembentukan keluarga harmonis. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap masyarakat Sasak dan pelaku tradisi Merariq yang dipilih secara purposive. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif-analitis, meliputi reduksi data, pengelompokan tema, serta interpretasi kritis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman masyarakat terhadap Merariq masih kuat secara budaya, namun lemah dalam aspek normatif Islam, sehingga memunculkan praktik yang tidak sesuai syariat. Pendekatan BKI dinilai relevan untuk memberikan edukasi dan pembinaan pasca pernikahan, meneguhkan nilai positif tradisi, serta mengurangi dampak negatif seperti pernikahan dini dan konflik keluarga. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya harmonisasi antara kearifan lokal dan ajaran Islam melalui pendidikan berbasis konseling Islami.

Abstract

The development of technology and the increasing use of social media have influenced the dynamics of interpersonal relationships, including in marriage. This phenomenon presents new challenges related to transparency and potential conflicts arising from the use of social media. The purpose of this research is to understand how to foster trust and honesty in the relationship between spouses in the digital age, commonly referred to as the Social Media Era. The method employed is a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with several married couples. The research results were then analyzed to identify the findings related to the research focus. The results of the study show that social media can be a tool that supports communication and openness in creating trust and honesty for married couples, but also has the potential to trigger suspicion and conflict due to a lack of understanding of digital dynamics. Couples must have awareness and skills to interact healthily on digital platforms, which can help maintain the harmony of husband-and-wife relationships. These findings highlight the importance of understanding and healthy interaction skills on digital platforms in maintaining harmonious relationships. This research provides valuable insights for couples to manage trust and honesty in the era of social media, while also highlighting the need for education about the impact of technology on marital relationships.   Perkembangan teknologi dan meningkatnya penggunaan media sosial telah memengaruhi dinamika hubungan interpersonal, termasuk dalam pernikahan. Fenomena ini menimbulkan tantangan baru terkait transparansi dan potensi konflik akibat penggunaan media sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami cara menciptakan kepercayaan dan kejujuran dalam hubungan antara suami dan istri di Era Media Sosial. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap sejumlah pasangan suami istri. Data hasil penelitian kemudian dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan fokus penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media sosial dapat menjadi alat yang mendukung komunikasi dan keterbukaan dalam menciptakan kepercayaan dan kejujuran bagi pasangan suami istri, namun juga berpotensi memicu kecurigaan dan konflik akibat kurangnya pemahaman terhadap dinamika digital. Pasangan harus memiliki kesadaran dan keterampilan berinteraksi secara sehat di platform digital cenderung menjaga keharmonisan hubungan suami istri. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya kesadaran dan keterampilan berinteraksi secara sehat di platform digital agar hubungan tetap harmonis. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan bagi pasangan untuk mengelola kepercayaan dan kejujuran di era media sosial, serta mendorong perlunya edukasi tentang dampak teknologi terhadap hubungan pernikahan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of emotional stability on individual adaptability in dealing with stress and change, and to test the causal relationship model between variables using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis with SmartPLS 4 software. SmartPLS 4 was chosen for its ability to process complex structural models, even when the data is not normally distributed, and is suitable for both exploratory and predictive research with small to medium sample sizes. In addition, the advantage of SmartPLS lies in its flexibility in testing latent relationships between constructs, both in reflective and formative measurement models. This study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey method to collect primary data from relevant respondents. This approach is suitable for testing the relationship between variables through numerical data and objective statistical analysis. The results of this study indicate that emotional stability plays a crucial role in an individual's ability to manage stress effectively, as individuals with good emotional stability are better equipped to mitigate the negative impact of stress on their psychological well-being. In addition, high stress levels hurt adaptability, whereas an open and positive attitude towards change has a significant positive influence on enhancing adaptability. Furthermore, emotional stability serves as a mediator that links the impact of stress and change to adaptation, with partial mediation on the stress pathway and complete mediation on the change pathway.   Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh stabilitas emosi dalam menghadapi stres dan perubahan terhadap kemampuan adaptasi individu, serta menguji model hubungan kausal antar variabel menggunakan analisis Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) dengan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4. SmartPLS 4 dipilih karena kemampuannya mengolah model struktural yang kompleks meskipun data tidak berdistribusi normal, serta cocok untuk penelitian eksploratif dan prediktif dengan ukuran sampel kecil hingga sedang. Selain itu, keunggulan SmartPLS terletak pada fleksibilitasnya dalam menguji hubungan laten antar konstruk, baik dalam model pengukuran reflektif maupun formatif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei untuk mengumpulkan data primer dari responden yang relevan, karena pendekatan ini sesuai untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel melalui data numerik dan analisis statistik yang objektif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stabilitas emosi memiliki peran penting dalam kemampuan individu mengelola stres secara efektif, dimana individu dengan kestabilan emosi yang baik mampu meredam dampak negatif stres terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis. Selain itu, tingkat stres yang tinggi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kemampuan adaptasi, sedangkan sikap terbuka dan positif terhadap perubahan memberikan pengaruh positif yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan adaptasi. Lebih lanjut, stabilitas emosi berfungsi sebagai mediator yang menghubungkan pengaruh stres dan perubahan terhadap adaptasi, dengan mediasi parsial pada jalur stres dan mediasi penuh pada jalur perubahan.

Abstract

Children with Down Syndrome face complex challenges in physical, cognitive, and social aspects, so they require intensive support from the immediate environment, especially the family. Parental support is a significant factor in shaping children's social skills. This study aims to examine family support strategies in the social development of children with Down Syndrome through the ecological perspective of Bronfenbrenner. The study used a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and participatory observation of families with children with Down Syndrome. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify forms of family support and the obstacles to providing it. The results of the study show that parental support for children with Down Syndrome includes emotional, social, and educational support. Parents provide affection, involve children in social activities, and accompany the learning and therapy process. However, families face obstacles in the form of limited information, psychological pressure, and limited access to services. To overcome this, adaptive parenting training for parents is recommended, strengthening collaboration between families, schools, and professionals (E.g., Doctors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Counselors, Therapists) that create layered support according to Bronfenbrenner's ecological theory, so that children can develop social skills optimally.   Anak dengan Down Syndrome menghadapi tantangan kompleks dalam aspek fisik, kognitif, dan sosial sehingga memerlukan dukungan intensif dari lingkungan terdekat, khususnya keluarga. Dukungan orang tua menjadi faktor utama dalam membentuk keterampilan sosial anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji strategi dukungan keluarga dalam perkembangan sosial anak dengan Down Syndrome melalui perspektif ekologi Bronfenbrenner. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap keluarga yang memiliki anak Down Syndrome. Analisis tematik dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk dukungan keluarga dan kendala dalam memberikan dukungan keluarga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan orang tua terhadap anak Down Syndrome mencakup dukungan emosional, sosial, dan edukatif. Orang tua memberikan kasih sayang, melibatkan anak dalam aktivitas sosial, serta mendampingi proses belajar dan terapi. Namun, keluarga menghadapi hambatan berupa keterbatasan informasi, tekanan psikologis, dan akses layanan yang terbatas. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, direkomendasikan pelatihan pengasuhan adaptif bagi orang tua, penguatan kolaborasi antara keluarga, sekolah, dan tenaga professional (Dokter, Psikiater, Psikolog, Konselor, Terapis) yang menciptakan dukungan berlapis sesuai teori ekologi Bronfenbrenner, sehingga anak dapat mengembangkan keterampilan sosial secara optimal.
