Abstract

This journal aims to analyze the role and meaning of the parable of a sower in God's kingdom, especially that found in the Gospel of Matthew 13:1-23. The scattering in the Gospel of Matthew describes Jesus' teaching about the kingdom of God and how important it is for people to respond to the message of the kingdom of God and what is most important can be accepted and practiced by believers.

Abstract

The kingdom of God is God's supreme rule that is realized in various stages throughout history. Man can experience the various blessings of His reign according to the stage of its realization. The Kingdom of God is the age to come or Heaven. The entry of the Kingdom of God in North Sumatra was triggered by the arrival of Ludwig Ingwer Nommensen, who brought changes to Batak society through the establishment of churches and social services. Qualitative research method with theoretical basis research methods from books and journals. The results showed that the presence of Christianity brought by Nommensen resulted in the development of churches in the area, which not only became places of worship but also centers of social activities and community economic development.

Abstract

One thing that is still debated among the Church is regarding one of the Persons of the Trinity, namely the Holy Spirit. The purpose of this writing is to describe the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Triune God. The research method used is a qualitative research method based on literature and journal analysis. So it is concluded that to understand the divinity of the Holy Spirit, special revelation is needed. Representations of the Holy Spirit illustrate how the Holy Spirit works. The Holy Spirit is God based on his characteristics, plays an important role and has a relationship with the world, plays a role in writing the Bible, and plays a role in the rescue mission with Christ. The holy spirit gives gifts and dwells in the lives of believers.

Abstract

Posthumanist education describes a transformation in the educational paradigm that involves the integration of technology, especially artificial intelligence (AI), in the context of Christianity. The application of artificial intelligence in Christian religious education brings significant changes in teaching approaches. AI enables personalization of learning tailored to each student's needs, creating an adaptive and inclusive learning environment. With intelligent algorithms, AI can help identify individuals' spiritual and intellectual needs, as well as provide relevant resources to deepen understanding of Christianity. Apart from that, the use of AI in text analysis and interpretation of holy books can provide a new perspective in understanding Christian religious teachings. Artificial intelligence systems can help decipher the complexity of sacred texts, provide historical and cultural context, and facilitate critical discussions to enrich students' understanding of religious teachings. However, the use of AI in Christian religious education also raises ethical questions. This paper discusses the ethical implications of this technology integration, including the role of teachers in the context of posthumanism, as well as the challenges and risks that may arise. Therefore, this paper puts forward recommendations for developing a balanced pedagogy, combining artificial intelligence with human wisdom to ensure holistic and meaningful Christian religious education in the era of posthumanism.

Abstract

This community service activity focuses on providing information on Muhammadiyah tarjih fatwas for leaders, Muhammadiyah preachers and Muballighoh Aisyiyah East Pendowoharjo branch. The method used is through counseling and training on Muhammadiyah tarjih fatwas with a focus on studies in the fields of fasting, zakat and sacrificial worship. The results of outreach and training activities show that before this activity was held, the average knowledge and skills of leaders, missionaries and preachers in terms of knowledge was 60%. However, after implementation, there was a significant increase, as seen from the post-test results which showed that the average participant's knowledge and abilities increased to 90.5%. This series of activities has proven to be effective in increasing the knowledge, understanding and skills of Muhammadiyah/Aisyiyah leaders, preachers and muballighoh so that Muhammadiyah tarjih fatwas reach the citizens and people correctly.

Abstract

There is a familiar expression, namely 'neighbors are the closest relatives'. These words can be said to be true, because neighbors are people who live next door to us and often help us if there are problems. Humans are also social creatures, who will definitely interact and mingle with other people, including neighbors. For this reason, it is necessary to establish good relationships with neighbors. To build harmony and unity between neighbors, appropriate morals and behavior are needed. And Islam also teaches neighborly etiquette that can be applied by Muslims.

Abstract

The Al-Qur'an is a collection of revelations from Allah SWT which were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Arabic as a guide for mankind at that time and continues to be valid until the end of time. It is universal, not limited by the dimensions of time and place. In accordance with the function and position of the Koran, it is very large. For this reason, determining the procedures for interpreting the Qur'an needs to be formulated so as to avoid confusion in interpretation. There are several methods for interpreting the Qur'an, including various approaches to interpretation methods that have been developed by scholars to achieve a broader understanding. Interpreting the Qur'an includes four methods, namely the tahlili method, ijmali method, muqaran method, and mawdhu'I method. The method of interpreting the Koran is not something that can be simply ignored. Understanding of the methodology must be pursued continuously towards its refinement.

Abstract

There are several scholars who have different opinions in defining asbab an-Nuzul, including Az-Zarqani, Ash-Shabuni, Shubhi Shaleh and Manna' Al-Qattan. However, all of them concluded that asbab an-nuzul was the incident or event that was the background for the revelation of the verses of the Qur'an, in order to answer, explain and resolve the problems that arose from this incident. Asbab an-nuzul is historical material that can be used to provide information on the revelation of a verse of the Qur'an and provide context in understanding its commands. Of course, these materials only cover events at the time when the Koran was still revealed. In terms of the number of causes and verses revealed, asbab an-nuzul is divided into two, namely the first, Ta'addud Al-Asbab Wa Al-Nazil Wahid (the reason behind the revelation of one verse) and the second, Ta'adud an-nazil wa al-asbab wahid (the reasons behind the revelation of several verses). The expressions or editorials used by friends to show the revelation of the Koran are not always the same. The editorials are broadly grouped into two categories, namely Sarih (clear) and Muhtamilah (still possible or uncertain). Asbab an-nuzul has a very important meaning in interpreting the Koran. A person will not achieve good understanding if he does not understand the history of a verse's asbab an-nuzul. Understanding asbab an nuzul will be very helpful in understanding the context of the revelation of the verse. It is very important to apply the verses to different cases and occasions. The opportunity for mistakes to occur will definitely be greater if you ignore the history of asbab an-nuzul.

Abstract

This study analyzes the evangelistic strategy of the Apostle Paul in the city of Athens, as recorded in Acts 17:16-34, focusing on the spread of the Kingdom of God among a society rich in philosophical heritage and religious diversity. Athens, as the intellectual center of the world at that time, presented significant challenges for Paul in conveying the message of Jesus Christ's resurrection. This study employs a qualitative approach to analyze the historical context, biblical text, and related literature. The findings show that Paul used a clever strategy by linking the message of the Kingdom of God to local religious elements, such as the altar to an unknown god. He also engaged in dialogue with philosophers and community leaders, using language and arguments relevant to Greek philosophical thought. Paul's teachings challenged the traditional beliefs of Athenian society regarding idol worship and introduced the concept of a universal God and fundamental spiritual values. The reaction of the Athenians was mixed; some mocked the idea of resurrection, while others, such as Dionysius and Damaris, accepted and believed. Paul's strategy highlights the importance of adaptation, openness, and dialogue in conveying religious messages in pluralistic settings. Love, tolerance, and steadfast faith were identified as key to facing challenges and expanding the influence of the Kingdom of God. This study concludes that despite rejection, success in reaching diverse societies can be achieved through wise and adaptive approaches.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the application of Christian guidance and counseling for Christian youth based on 1 Timothy 4:12, using the humanistic theory approach of Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow. Through this approach, the study aims to identify how the Biblical principles of faith, love, sanctity, and spiritual growth can be integrated with concepts such as empathy, unconditional acceptance, and self-actualization from humanistic theory. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant literature on Christian guidance and counseling, humanistic theory, and Biblical verses. The findings of this research are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the potential integration between Biblical principles and humanistic theory in the context of Christian guidance and counseling for Christian youth, as well as its practical implications in aiding Christian youth to achieve better personal growth and spiritual well-being.
