Abstract

This study explores the psychosocial determinants influencing postpartum contraception selection through a comprehensive approach. A cross-sectional study was conducted on 120 respondents in Bogor Regency, using purposive sampling via Google Forms. Research instruments included the Knowledge Questionnaire on Postpartum Contraception (KQPC) and Multidimensional Health Locus of Control (MHLC) to analyze factors influencing contraception decisions. Research findings demonstrate that knowledge levels, locus of control, economic status, and education significantly impact contraception method selection. Respondents with high knowledge were more likely to choose modern contraception methods (78.3%), while those with low knowledge preferred traditional methods (45.8%). Logistic regression analysis revealed that contraception knowledge contributed most significantly with an odds ratio of 2.512. The study emphasizes the need for personalized approaches in contraception counseling, considering biological, psychological, social, and economic factors. Key recommendations include developing comprehensive educational programs, professional health training, and designing reproductive health policies responsive to individual needs.

Data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health in 2020 showed that vaccination coverage in the 3rd and 4th months was months. However, efforts can be made to increase child vaccination coverage to 80% and that does not include DT, MR2, and HPV vaccinations. To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization in children at the Raden Omas Posyandu. This study uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional method. The population in this study consisted of mothers who had children aged 12 to 18 months at Posyandu Raden Omas, totaling 36 mothers. The statistical results showed a relationship between maternal knowledge and the completeness of basic immunization in children p-value (0.048). Most respondents had good knowledge, as many as 13 respondents (36.1%). Sufficient knowledge, as many as 13 respondents (36.1%). Insufficient knowledge, as many as 10 respondents or 27.8%. Most respondents had incomplete immunization, namely 18 respondents (50%).

Abstract

The menstrual hygiene behavior of adolescents, especially those in the menarche phase, still needs more attention. This study aims to evaluate menstrual hygiene practices among adolescent girls experiencing menarche at SMPN 4 Pare in Kediri. The study used a correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 40 female students, and a total sampling technique was used to select 40 respondents. The independent variable is health literacy and the dependent variable is menstrual hygiene ability. The E-Health questionnaire was used to assess health literacy, and the Menstrual Hygiene questionnaire was used to assess menstrual hygiene skills. Spearman rank statistical tests were used, and the results showed that 72.5% had poor health literacy and 67.5% had poor menstrual hygiene skills. The p-value was 0.001, which is less than the alpha level of 0.05 (r = 0.879). Health literacy greatly affects adolescents' ability to implement menstrual hygiene. Efforts are needed to increase interest in health literacy, especially among adolescents in the field of reproductive health.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is a condition where the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the blood is less than normal and the hemoglobin (Hb) level in the mother has decreased from the normal Hb level, namely 11 g/dI. One of the main and common causes of anemia in pregnant women is a lack of nutrients. Iron in the body is caused by a lack of food sources that contain sufficient iron, but food sources that have low iron content, so that less iron is absorbed. Apart from the lack of food containing iron, routine antenatal care also influences the occurrence of anemia in pregnant women. Effective antenatal care provides a solid foundation for midwives to first assess the needs of pregnant women and families. The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between diet and regular antenatal care with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women in the working area of the Maron Community Health Center. The design of this study was cross sectional. The population in this study were all pregnant women who were in the working area of the Maron Community Health Center, totaling 79 respondents. The research sample included 44 respondents of pregnant women who were in the working area of the Maron Public Health Center. With random sampling technique. The instruments used were questionnaires and KIA books. The research results show that almost all anemic pregnant women have poor eating patterns and irregular antenatal care. Based on the chi square statistical test, it is known that the P value is 0.000 α 0.05, so HO is rejected and HI is accepted that there is a relationship between diet and antenatal care with anemia in pregnant women in the working area of the Maron Community Health Center. It is hoped that the results of this research can be used to increase insight into health science, especially midwifery, that a good diet and regular antenatal care are very necessary to prevent risks that will occur during childbirth.

Abstract

A Caesarean section, or C-section, is a surgical procedure where a baby is delivered through an incision made in the mother’s abdomen and uterus. To aid the healing of post-Caesarean wounds, mothers need not only antibiotics but also a diet that provides high-quality nutrition and adequate calories. The research question being investigated is: "Do Age, Parity, Education, and Occupation Affect the Healing Process of Post-Caesarean Wound Stitches?" This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a Post-test Only Control Group Design. The study population includes mothers who had a C-section at Pemalang Hospital. Participants were divided into two groups: 49 received catfish extract tablets (the experimental group), and 49 received standard wound care (the control group). Sampling was conducted using purposive sampling techniques. Data were analyzed through both univariate and bivariate methods. The results showed a p value of 0.000 for the experimental group and 0.046 for the control group (both p values < 0.05), indicating that catfish extract tablets significantly influence the healing process of post-Caesarean wound stitches..

Most respondents were under 35 years old (66.4%), primigravida (62.0%), in their third trimester (100%), and had tertiary education (54.2%). Most did not have LBW infants (91.8%), and most were not diagnosed with CED (24.1%). Chi-square analysis showed a significant correlation (p=0.001) with an Odds Ratio of 11.566, indicating that CED significantly influences the likelihood of LBW.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is a form of feeling happy or disappointed with the service received after the patient compares it with what is expected. In the era of digitalization, telemedicine has an impact on health services, especially patient satisfaction. This study aims to determine the use of telemedicine on increasing patient satisfaction in health services in Indonesia. Systematic review using PRISMA guidelines and the PICO model, Population = patients who use telemedicine; Intervention = telemedicine; Comparison = not using telemedicine; Outcome = patient satisfaction in health services in Indonesia. Articles were collected through Google Scholar, Jurnal Manajemen Kesehatan (JMK), Jurnal Kebijakan Kesehatan Indonesia (JKKI), Jurnal Pendidikan dan Teknologi Kesehatan (JPTK), Jurnal Ilmiah Indonesia (JII), and Jurnal Komunikasi which focus on Indonesia. Keywords use: patient satisfaction, health services, telemedicine, Indonesia. A total of 6 articles met the inclusion criteria for a systematic review. 6 articles out of 119 articles were studied for systematic review. Six articles did not find a significant difference in patient satisfaction between telemedicine and face-to-face meetings. There are several factors that influence patient satisfaction, including: most are female, productive age, college educated, and work as private employees. Telemedicine services have been shown to increase patient satisfaction in health services in Indonesia. This shows that the more telemedicine services used, the higher the level of patient satisfaction. However, further research is needed to analyze how effective the use of telemedicine is on patient satisfaction in health services in Indonesia.
