Abstract

The rapid advancement of digital technology has encouraged higher education institutions to adopt online learning more extensively and systematically. This shift has not only transformed academic interaction patterns but also has the potential to influence students’ learning motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of online learning on students’ learning motivation using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The model is employed to measure how perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness shape students’ acceptance of learning technologies, and how this acceptance subsequently impacts their motivation to learn.Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to students participating in online learning, and the responses were analyzed to examine the relationships among perception, technology acceptance, and learning motivation. The results indicate that positive perceptions of the ease of use and usefulness of online learning platforms significantly contribute to increased learning motivation. The more students perceive online learning technologies as accessible and beneficial, the higher their engagement and intrinsic motivation in the learning process.These findings offer important implications for educational institutions in designing, evaluating, and developing effective and user-centered online learning systems. Optimizing learning technologies can serve as a key strategy to enhance the overall quality of learning as well as students’ motivation in higher education settings.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the symptoms of language errors, especially ambiguity at the semantic level in packaged advertising products. Ambiguity is a form of duplicity that can confuse listeners, making the message conveyed by the speaker difficult to understand. Advertising, as a communication and information medium, uses spoken and written language to convey messages or opinions. The advertisements analyzed in this research include advertisements for medicines, drinks and food. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, by producing descriptive data in the form of written words on packaging advertisements. The research subjects were packaged advertising products which were analyzed using data collection techniques in the form of reading and taking notes on the advertisements obtained. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide an overview of the potential for language errors in packaging advertising which can cause ambiguity or confusion for consumers. This research also aims to analyze how ambiguity in advertising language can influence consumer perceptions and explain the implications of these language errors on the effectiveness of advertising in attracting attention and influencing consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in adaptive learning on the learning interests of Generation Z students in higher education. Using a mixed-method approach, the study combined quantitative and qualitative methods to gain a comprehensive understanding. Data were collected from 300 respondents through a survey measuring student engagement and motivation, as well as in-depth interviews to explore their experiences with AI-based learning tools. The results indicate that 75% of students felt more motivated and engaged when using AI-based tools, with significant improvements in their understanding of the material. The study also identified challenges in AI implementation, including concerns over personal data protection, educator readiness, and ethical use of the technology. These findings suggest that AI has significant potential to enhance the learning experience by promoting greater engagement and deeper understanding. However, appropriate regulation, infrastructure, and support are needed to optimize AI’s use in education and address emerging challenges effectively.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed 21st-century education. One of the widely used tools in elementary mathematics learning is Canva, which enables interactive, visual, and creative instruction. This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine the trends, effectiveness, and challenges of Canva use in mathematics learning from 2022 to 2025. Data were collected through Publish or Perish linked to Google Scholar, resulting in 24 eligible studies. The findings reveal a strong upward trend, with 100% of studies using Canva as the main medium and 70.8% applying R&D approaches. In terms of effectiveness, 95.8% of studies reported improved learning outcomes, and 87.5% noted higher student motivation and engagement. Canva effectively enhances conceptual understanding of abstract mathematical topics and supports project-based learning. Major challenges include limited teacher digital skills (66.7%) and unequal access to ICT (58.3%). Overall, Canva is identified as an effective, innovative, and adaptive digital learning medium aligned with the principles of Kurikulum Merdeka, which emphasizes active, contextual, and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use and implementation of the Game Based Learning (GBL) model in enhancing students’ interest in learning Economics within the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a descriptive approach through interviews and classroom observations involving both students and teachers. The findings indicate that GBL is applied as an interactive learning strategy that helps simplify the understanding of economic concepts, increases student engagement, and builds a more enjoyable and stimulating learning atmosphere. The use of game elements in the learning process encourages active participation and supports students in developing better focus during lessons. In addition, the implementation of GBL is considered effective and relevant to the demands of 21st-century learning, where creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration play essential roles. Based on the results, this study recommends strengthening school facilities and providing teacher training to further maximize the effectiveness of GBL in the learning process.

Abstract

This article examines Martin Luther's theological thinking on children's faith education as part of Reformation theology. Luther emphasized that the family is a small church (ecclesiola), making parents the first and primary faith educators for children. In his understanding, faith education must begin early, be carried out repeatedly, be realized through example, and be based on the use of the Small Catechism as the primary tool of spiritual education. This paper analyzes the theological and practical aspects of Luther's thought and their relevance to the context of children's education today. This paper aims to explore in depth Martin Luther's theological thinking on children's faith education, his theological background, the principles of faith education according to Luther, and their implications for contemporary Christian education. This research uses a library research method with a theological-historical approach. The primary sources are Martin Luther's writings on education, the family, and the church. Secondary sources include books, journal articles, and contemporary theological analyses of Luther's faith education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media in the form of a drag-and-drop game of coordinate points on a Canva-based Cartesian plane to improve the understanding of Analytical Geometry concepts in grade VII students of MTs Yayasan Madrasah Islamiyah Sinaksak. This study applies the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, and involves grade VII students in the odd semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year as research subjects. Data collection instruments include expert validation sheets that assess aspects of material, language, and media design; student response questionnaires covering aspects of preferences, enthusiasm, willingness to learn, understanding, and motivation; and learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. Feasibility analysis was carried out using a Likert scale, while media effectiveness was measured by comparing actual scores and ideal scores and improvements in learning outcomes were analyzed using the N-Gain formula. The results of the study indicate that the developed drag-and-drop media is categorized as feasible based on the validator's assessment, received a positive response from students, and is able to improve learning outcomes in the moderate to high category based on the N-Gain value. Thus, this media is declared effective and can be used as an innovative alternative in learning Cartesian coordinates at the MTs level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning media in the form of an Artificial Intelligence-based maze game on geometric transformation material. The development of this learning media is motivated by the fact that mathematics learning tends to be boring, especially on geometric transformation material. This occurs because the application of monotonous learning methods, such as lecture methods, causes students to tend to be more passive and can lead to a decrease in student learning motivation. So the researcher developed a more interesting learning media in the form of an AI-based maze game to build student learning motivation. The game developed contains geometric transformation questions and presents them adaptively through AI logic. This research method uses an R&D (Research and Development) approach with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE stages are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were ninth-grade students of SMP Yayasan Pendidikan Ghafa Medan. The results showed that this Artificial Intelligence-based maze game obtained a validity percentage of 82% with a very valid category, practicality obtained a percentage of 85.6% with a very practical category, and effectiveness obtained a percentage of 83.1% with a very effective category. The final evaluation showed that this learning tool was suitable for use, although improvements were still needed, such as adding penalties for wrong answers and enlarging the movement buttons. Overall, this AI-based maze game was deemed valid, effective, and practical as an interactive learning tool for geometric transformations.

Abstract

Toraja is a region in Indonesia widely recognized for its strong cultural traditions, diverse beliefs, and social stratification that continues to shape daily interactions and social dynamics. This cultural pluralism often creates challenges in identity formation, communication, and adaptation among community members. Multicultural counseling is an appropriate approach to meet the needs of Toraja society since it acknowledges the cultural and religious background of clients throughout the counseling process. This study adopts a qualitative literature review method to analyze the implementation of multicultural counseling, including challenges and strategies for its effective application in Toraja. The results indicate that multicultural counseling becomes successful when counselors possess multicultural competency, collaborate with traditional and religious leaders, and integrate local wisdom such as sirik na pesik (respect for dignity), tolerance, and communal support. Thus, multicultural counseling plays a crucial role in promoting harmony and improving psychological well-being within Toraja’s plural society.

Abstract

This paper discusses the role of multicultural counseling guidance in enhancing students’ tolerance and intercultural understanding within increasingly diverse school environments. The multicultural approach in counseling services is understood as a deliberate effort to acknowledge, appreciate, and facilitate the cultural differences each student brings. Through counseling processes that are sensitive to cultural backgrounds, students are guided to recognize their identity, understand others’ perspectives, and develop the ability to interact constructively across cultural contexts. The study highlights four key areas: strengthening cultural identity awareness, developing intercultural communication skills, preventing and addressing conflicts related to cultural differences, and fostering an inclusive school environment. The discussion shows that multicultural counseling can enhance tolerant attitudes by providing a safe space for students to express their cultural experiences. In addition, this approach helps schools build an atmosphere that respects diversity through collaboration between counselors, teachers, and other stakeholders. These findings affirm that multicultural counseling guidance is an essential component in creating a peaceful school culture that values differences and supports students’ social-emotional development amid the ongoing dynamics of diversity.
