Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midwifery Science is a scientific journal that focuses on nursing and midwifery science aspect. It publishes articles based on empirical studies using quantitative or qualitative approaches or a combination of the two. Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midfwifery calls for scientific articles focused on nursing and midwifery, both in clinical and positive aspects. Abstract

Introduction: One of the postoperative client care is to make the mobilization. Mobilizing exercises are carried out to prevent complications, prevent pressure sores, stimulate peristalsis and reduce pain. Methods: The design of this study is a descriptive correlative study which aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and motivation of nurses on the provision of early mobilization. The population of this research is the appendic patient at RSAL Dr. Mintohardjo. The sample in this study was total sampling, with a sample of 59 respondents. The instrument uses an observation sheet. Results: The results showed that the value of P value = 0.007 means P value <0.05, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the respondent's level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior. Discussion: There is a significant relationship between the respondent's level of knowledge and early mobilization behavior.

Abstract

Introduction: Adherence to undergo chemotherapy schedule was an urgent problem for cancer patients. We aimed to investigate the relationship between the nurse’s caring behavior and cancer patients' compliance in undergoing Chemotherapy.  Methods: The study used a cross-sectional approach on 63 cancer patients who were undergoing chemotherapy, and used a total sampling technique. Data collection was performed using two questionnaires; the Caring Behaviour questionnaire adopted from Swanson (1991) and the Patient’s Compliance questionnaire adopted from Agustina (2015).  Results: Nurses' caring behavior and cancer patients' compliance in undergoing chemotherapy had a significant relationship (p-value 0.000).  Discussion: The caring behavior of nurses has an impact on the patients, increasing motivation for adherence to their chemotherapy schedule. Nurses should maintain their caring behavior, especially in the workplace at hospitals for patients with terminal illnesses. Caring will bring up a disciplined attitude in undergoing treatment, and growing the patient's personality to pay attention to their health.

Abstract

Introduction: The role of nurses as caregivers which were given during the emergency unit will continue to interact between nurses and patients. There are twelve reports of dissatisfaction with outpatient services. Complementary data in hospitalized there are nine reports of dissatisfaction with inpatient services. So that the relationship and interaction between nurse and patient will greatly determine the level of patient satisfaction. Methods: This study used a descriptive analytic method using a correlation research study with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were priority patients in emergency unit is based on the average monthly patient rate in 2019, which were 915 priority patients in the emergency room. The sampling technique in this study was using the purposive sampling method, used 90 respondents. Results: The role of the nurse as a care giver and the length of stay with the priority patient's family satisfaction had a significant relationship (P value 0.024). Discussion: The satisfaction was felt by patients as indicated by nurses who have find patient expectations for excellent and high-quality services in terms of information accuracy, timely service, and nurses' readiness to find problems in order to help them.

Abstract

Introduction: Enuresis is urinary incontinence where a child should be able to urinate normally but the child can't do it. So, that urine output is not in place or is often called bedwetting. This study aims to determine the relationship between the application of toilet training, constipation and stress with the incidence of enuresis in preschool aged 3-6 years at Tunas Karya Kindergarten, Parakansalak District, Sukabumi Regency 2020. Methods: The research is quantitative non-experimental using a descriptive analytic approach with cross sectional studi design. The sample in this study was 60 guardians of pre-school aged 3-6 years in Tunas Karya Kindergarten, Parakansalak, Sukabumi 2020. Data analysis using Chi-Square Test with SPSS. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the application of toilet training and the incidence of enuresis with a P value of 0.000. There is a relationship between constipation and the incidence of enuresis with a P value of 0.001 and there is a relationship between stress and the incidence of enuresis with a P value of 0.000.  Discussion: The 60 respondents who experienced enuresis were 35 (58.3%), while those who did not experienced enuresis were 25 (41.7%). Respondents who did not apply toilet training as many as 34, respondents who experienced constipation as many as 32, respondents who experienced stress as many as 34, there is a relationship between the application of toilet training, constipation and stress with the incidence of enuresis.

Abstract

Introduction: Sleep hygiene therapy is a non- pharmacological therapy that can be done by nurses in providing nursing actions to schizophrenic patients. Methods: The design of this research is Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One-Group Pretest- Postest Design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total of 15 respondents. Results: The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in the sleep quality of schizophrenic patients before and after sleep hygiene therapy which was indicated by the results of the Paired Sample T- Test analysis where the significance results were p value = 0.000 <0.05. Discussion: The results showed the influence of sleep hygiene therapy on the quality of sleep of schizophrenia patients in the Elang 1 and Elang 2 at Soeharto Heerdjan Mental Hospital, Jakarta 2020.

Abstract

Introduction: VCT counseling is a counseling activity that provides psychological support, information and knowledge of HIV/AIDS and ensures the resolution of various problems related to HIV/AIDS, including the behavior of prisoners in each prison. Methods: This study used a cross sectional design. The number of samples is 56 prisoners or inmates who suffer from HI/AIDS. The research instrument used a questionnaire measuring instrument and statistical tests using the Chi Square test. Results: Depression of HIV/AIDS sufferers in Cipinang Jati Negara Class 1 Prison experienced depression 61% more. The bivariate results showed that there was a relationship between Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) and the level of depression in HIV/AIDS sufferers in Cipinang Jati Negara Jakarta Class 1 Prison with a P-value of 0.009 and an Odds Ratio of 4.63. Discussion: There is a relationship between Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT) and the level of depression in HIV/AIDS sufferers at the Class 1 Cipinang Jati State Prison, East Jakarta in 2020.

Abstract

Introduction: Therapy for cholesterol has not non-pharmacological treatment that is expected to be able to complete pharmacological treatment in lowering cholesterol levels by using tomato juice & apple. Methods: Design this research is Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest- Postest Design. Sampling techniques using purpose sampling with the number of respondents as many as 20 respondents, Analysis using Paired Sample T-Test statistics. Results: Design this research is Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest-postest Design. Sampling techniques using purpose sampling with the number of respondents as many as 20 respondents. Discussion: There was an effect of giving tomato and apple juice to the decrease in cholesterol levels in the elderly in the area RW 09 Grogol.

Abstract

Introduction: The independence of preschool age children is a skill to carry out their own activities. The independence of a child can be well if the family can be tried properly. One of the benefits of the family that influences the character and behavior of children in terms of child independence is an efficient family function which includes family responses to the fulfillment of psychosocial needs, the main ones being the formation of human character, personality stability, and behavior, and the ability to carry out closer bonds and values. self. Methods: The research design used in this study is a descriptive cross-sectional correlation design. The population in this study were all parents and children aged 4-6 years in PAUD At-Taqwa Tugu Utara Cisara Bogor. The number of samples is 50 people. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The research instrument used a questionnaire. In this study, the analysis used the Chi Square test. Results: There are 45 respondents who have optimal family support and 4 respondents with non- optimal family support. Of the 45 respondents with optimal family support, 43 respondents had poor personal hygiene and 2 respondents had good personal hygiene, while from 5 respondents with inadequate family support, 4 respondents had good personal hygiene and 1 respondent had poor personal hygiene Good (Pvalue 0.276). Discussion: There is no relationship between family support and children's personal hygiene independence.

Abstract

Introduction: Physical activity or sport is one way to achieve physical health. The activities carried out are beneficial not only physically but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Teenagers have a large enough population emotional intelligence is very useful for negative energy that comes to teenagers. Methods: The method used is quantitative research using cross sectional design. With 67 respondents, the sampling technique used the Slovin formula. Using the Spearman Rank test statistical test. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: From the results of the research conducted there were 39 respondents (58.2%) who did heavy physical activity, 28 respondents (41.8%) who did light physical activity. Meanwhile, there were 38 respondents (56.7%) who had high emotional intelligence and 29 respondents (43.3%) had low emotional intelligence. From the results of the Spearman Rank statistical test conducted by the researcher, it was found that N = 67, with a correlation of 0.848 with a P value of 0.000. Discussion: The conclusion of this study is that it has a very strong meaning so that Ho is denied. Ha is accepted, it’s means there is a connection between physical activity variables and emotional intelligence, and the direction of the relationship between the two variables is positive.

Abstract

Introduction: Most of the students knowledge of preventing COVID-19 is still a little less good. One of the effort to break the chain of transmission of the COVID-19 virus is by provoding audio-visual health education. Methods: The research design used Quasi Eksperimental with one-group pre-post test design. The sample taken in this study were 34 respondents who used purposive sampling technique, the instrument used was a questionnaire sheet with a Guttman scale. Results: This study describes the majority of the distribution on knowledge before being given treatment as many as 18 responden (52,9%) lacking knowledge and the frequency distribution of knowledge after being given treatment as many as 18 respondent (52,9%) having good knowledge, this study describes the effect of health education with audio visuals on knowledge of COVID-19 in grade 3 (p = 0,000). Discussion: From the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that there is an increase in knowledge about COVID-19 after being given audio visual health education.
