Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midwifery Science is a scientific journal that focuses on nursing and midwifery science aspect. It publishes articles based on empirical studies using quantitative or qualitative approaches or a combination of the two. Indonesian Scholar Journal of Nursing and Midfwifery calls for scientific articles focused on nursing and midwifery, both in clinical and positive aspects. It encompasses topics at different levels of analysis, including individual, group, and societal research, as well as diverse methodologies such as nursing and midwifery assessment and interventions. Moreover, it encourages the submission of articles based on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research, with special consideration or dedicated sections in nursing and midwifery.

Abstract

Introduction: Students are individuals who are studying in higher education, the desire of students to receive higher education is motivated by their aspirations, including mastering science and technology, skills, and high status in society. However, achieving these goals is not an easy thing, there are many obstacles and challenges that they must face both inside and outside the campus. Methods: The method used in this research is cross-sectional on 120 respondents with Spearman and Wilcoxon Rank analysis. This research was conducted at the Advanced Indonesian School of Health Sciences (STIKIM), measuring family support using the Family Support Scale questionnaire, and measuring anxiety levels using the HARS (Hamilton Rating Scale of Anxiety) questionnaire. Results: The results of this study found that there was a significant difference in family support with anxiety levels in students who stay with family and stay in a boarding house in making essays (p-value= 0,000). Discussion: There is a significant difference between family support and the level of anxiety in students who live with their families and live in boarding houses in compiling their thesis at STIKIM in 2018. Family support is one alternative in reducing the level of student anxiety in writing a thesis.

Abstract

Introduction: Expressive writing is a coping to overcome anxiety especially when going to face school exams. Methods: The design of this study used Quasi-Experimental with One group pretest-posttest design approach in 30 respondents, and the instrument used was questionnaire. The standard questionnaire method used to measure anxiety is Zung Self-Rating Scale Anxiety. Analysis of this research using Paired T Test. Results: From the results of univariate analysis tests there was anxiety after the intervention of 30 respondents experienced mild anxiety. From the results of bivariate test obtained the results of the influence of expressive writing interventions on decreased anxiety with P value = 0.001. Discussion: From the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a decrease in anxiety after expressive writing interventions.

Abstract

Introduction: Leucorrhoea is an early symptom of almost all types of diseases of the female reproductive organs. Methods: The research design used in this study is research correlational. The approach used in this research is cross sectional. The sampling technique used a sampling technique with a total sampling of 40 respondents. The instrument used is to use a questionnaire by distributing links via google form. Results: From the results of univariate data testing, it was found that the frequency distribution of knowledge was less than 65%, and knowledge was good with a percentage of 35%. Distribution of 50% bad behavior, and 50% percentage of good behavior. From the results of the bivariate data, it was found that there was a relationship between knowledge and behavior of Vulva Hygiene with the incidence of vaginal discharge with ρ-value 0,000. Discussion: From the results of the research that has been collected, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge, and behavior of Vulva Hygiene with the incidence of vaginal discharge in adolescent girls.

Abstract

Introduction: Parental Behavior, and Environmental Factors are closely related, and affect children's health. Methods: The research design used was analytical correlation with cross-sectional correlation or cross-sectional approach. The cross-sectional correlation approach is an approach that is momentary at one time, and aims to study whether there is a relationship between risk factors (independent variables) and effects (dependent variables) that are observed at the same time as Notoatrnodjo (2010). In this study, the factors for the occurrence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children in Bangunjaya Village were looked for in 2020. Results: The behavior of parents with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children in Bangunjaya village in 2020 obtained a negative category 33 (61.1%), and a positive category 21 (39.9%). Environmental factors with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children in Bangunjaya village in 2020 obtained good category 47 (87.0%), and less category 7 (13.0%). Discussion: There is a relationship between parental behavior and environmental factors with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in children in Bangunjaya village in 2020.

Abstract

Introduction: Children are one of the unconscious sources of Covid-19 transmission. Therefore, parents should have knowledge, a good attitude towards children's c ompliance in implementing health protocols, especially when playing. Methods: This study design used a quantitative cross-sectional approach to 50 parents who have preschool aged children. The method of collecting data on children's knowledge, attitudes and compliance uses a questionnaire via google form which is distributed through the whatsapp group. Results: 30 (60%) had poor knowledge, 32 (64%) negative attitudes and 33 (66%) children who did not comply with the Chi-Square test results on parental knowledge were obtained (p = 0.005) and on the attitudes of parents with (p = 0.000). This means that there is a significant relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of parents and compliance with the health protocols of preschool children while playing during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Gadog Pandansari Region. Discussion: Parents' knowledge and attitudes about health protocols affect the compliance of preschool children in playing in the Gadog Pandansari area. It is hoped that parents can take a stand to direct their children to implement better health protocols.

Abstract

Introduction: Social media addiction can affect learning achievement in adolescents because good learning achievement can affect a person's academic learning score. Methods: The design of this study used quantitative with cross sectional approach on 60 adolescents using total sampling techniques. Methods by using a standardized questionnaire to measure social media addiction, namely the Social Media Addiction Scale (SMAS) and learning achievement that was tested by the validity of researchers with 19 respondents obtained Cronbach’s Alpha 0,757. The analysis of this study used the chi-square test. Results: This study describes the majority of the frequency distribution of social media addiction as less as 43 respondents and the frequency distribution of good learning achievement of 36 respondents. This study described the relationship between social media addiction with learning achievement in adolescents (p = 0.008). Discussion: There was a correlation between social media addiction with learning achievement in adolescents.

Abstract

Introduction: Service quality refers to the level of perfection of health services in meeting the needs of each customer. So, the quality of health is to meet the needs and satisfying services, which if the service is satisfactory it will lead to a sense of satisfaction with the health that is held. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of service quality on patient satisfaction in obstetrics at RSDH Cianjur. Methods: This research is a quantitative type with an analytic nature with a cross-sectional study. The population in this study were obstetric inpatients at RSDH Cianjur. The sample in this study was 98 respondents. Researchers used the Chi-Square test. Results: Based on the research, it is known that most of the patients stated that they were satisfied as many as 60 people (61.2%) and most of the patients stated that the service quality was good as many as 51 people (52%). Statistical test results There is a relationship between service quality and patient satisfaction in obstetrics at RSDH Cianjur r with P-value = 0.009 and OR = 3.322. In conclusion, there is an effect of service quality on the satisfaction of obstetric inpatients at RSDH Cianjur. Discussion: There is an effect of service quality on the satisfaction of obstetric inpatients at RSDH Cianjur.

Abstract

Introduction: Umbilical cord care is an act of care and cleaning of the umbilical cord, and try to keep the umbilical cord in a dry and clean condition to prevent infection. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between attitudes, media counseling, and guidance on independent behavior of postpartum mothers in performing umbilical cord care at the Surade Health Center, Sukabumi Regency in 2021. Methods: The design of this study was descriptive-analytic with a cross-sectional approach. In this study, the population of postpartum mothers on the 7th to 9th day in August 2021 at the Surade Health Center was based on data on delivery plans in August 2021 as many as 72 people. The sample in this study amounted to 72 respondents using a total population sampling technique. Researchers used the Chi-Square test. Results: Based on the results of the statistical test, it is known that the attitude variable has a P-value of 0.000, the media counseling variable has a P value of 0.003 and the guidance variable has a P-value of 0.001. Discussion: There is a relationship between attitudes, counseling, and guidance on the independent behavior of postpartum mothers in umbilical cord care at the Surade Health Center, Sukabumi Regency in 2021. Suggestions for the Public Health Centre to socialize with the community, especially postpartum mothers regarding central care.

Abstract

Introduction: in adolescence, adolescents must be able to meet their physiological needs, one of which is the need for rest and sleep. Sleep patterns in adolescence usually have different sleep patterns because adolescents experience many changes that make adolescents reduce their sleep time. Coupled with the covid-19 pandemic, teenagers become anxious, making them experience fewer obstacles to social interaction. The covid-19 pandemic has also made schools and institutions replace online learning methods using gadgets. So that this can make adolescents more intense in using gadgets and this behavior can affect the quality of adolescent sleep. Apart from the use of nutritional gadgets, it can also be a factor that affects sleep quality. Methods: The research method used is a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. The population used in this study were teenagers aged 13-15 years in MTS Salafiyah. The sample in this study was 67 respondents. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Data collection was done by filling out questionnaires and observation sheets that were already on the google form link. Results: Most of the respondents were 13 years old as many as 36 respondents (53.7%). female sex as many as 46 respondents (68.7%). the characteristics of respondents based on the type of activity carried out the most are those who access social media with a total of 46 people (68.7%). Spearman rank shows the value of using gadgets with a sleep quality of p = 0.012. While the body mass index value with sleep quality with a p-value = 0.038. Discussion: There is a relationship between the use of gadgets with sleep quality and body mass index with sleep quality in adolescents during the covid-19 pandemic at MTS Salafiyah Depok in 2020.

Abstract

Introduction: Andrographis paniculata, is a medicinal plant that is also very easy to breed. This plant contains many active chemical constituents which exhibit definite pharmacological effects. This can be easily predicted from the findings of the bitter leaf article, which has anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antidiabetic, antiangiogenic, antimalarial, and antimicrobial activities. Methods: This study is quantitative, using a quasi-experiment with a pres-post group control design. This study applies the observation method for the implementation of data collection from respondents' cholesterol levels. The description of the frequency of lowering cholesterol levels before giving the boiled water of bitter leaves is still partly high by 50% or 10 people. Results: The results showed that there was an effect of giving boiled water of bitter leaves to decrease cholesterol levels with a p-value = 0.347 (α < 0.05). Discussion: The results showed that there was an effect of boiled water from bitter leaves (Andrographis paniculata) on reducing cholesterol levels in the area of RW 07, Cinere District, Depok City.
