Abstract

Teaching and learning activities that tend to be monotonous and passive lead to low student interest and student achievement. Therefore, this study aims to determine fellow collaboration and achievement of student motivation in learning physics. This research is applied with a learning model in six phases that can increase collaboration, motivation and student achievement, namely choosing topics, cooperative planning, implementation, analysis and synthesis, presentation, evaluation. This type of research is a quasi experiment. The instrument used was a student's conceptual knowledge test in the form of a description of 8 items and student activity sheets namely experimental activities. The results showed that collaboration with good students will affect the achievement of student motivation in learning physics.

Abstract

Science skills are skills that students need when they are investigating. These skills are needed by students in the process of inquiry to solve problems from a natural phenomenon that is around them. general reality many of the skills of students who tend to be passive and low. The low scientific skills of students because the learning process does not involve practicum. Therefore, this study aims to find out. Improved science skills in terms of high school student activities through inquiry training learning models. This type of research is descriptive. The instrument of this study was the activity evaluation observation sheet. Each student observation sheet consists of five indicators. The indicator is confronting the problem, verifying data, experimenting, processing data and inquiry analysis. The results showed that skills based on assessment of activity indicators increased at each meeting.

Abstract

This study aims to develop momentum and impulse material test instruments on the achievement of high school students' conceptual and procedural knowledge learning outcomes. The research method used in the design of test instruments is to determine the purpose of the test, compile the grid, choose the form of the test instrument, determine the length of the test instrument, validate the test and test the test to find out the test results. The test instrument was used to assess students' conceptual and procedural knowledge abilities on the material of momentum and impulses. The subject of the study was the test instrument. This research successfully developed a test instrument for momentum and impulse material on the achievement of learning outcomes of high school students' conceptual and procedural knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the computer-based Independent Competency Test (ICT) program that was developed to improve students' self-efficacy in physics subjects and to analyze the computer-based Independent Competency Test (ICT) program that was developed effectively used in increasing student self-efficacy used by participants students and teachers. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which includes stages: (i) Identification of Potential and Problems; (ii) Analysis of Needs and Data Collection; (iii) System Design; (iv) System Implementation; (v) System Validation; (vi) System Revision; (vii) System Testing; and (viii) Final Systems. The subjects of this study were MAN 1 Medan students. The instrument used was testing aspects of functionality, usability, and student self-efficacy questionnaires. Based on the results of expert validation on the functionality test, it is obtained a percentage of 100% with very good criteria and has met the aspects of functionality. The results of expert validation on the usability test obtained a percentage of 93.15% with very high criteria and have met the usability aspect. Furthermore, the percentage obtained from the student questionnaire / self-efficacy questionnaire was 81% with very high criteria.

Abstract

Practical methods are very rarely used in learning physics so that Students have difficulty understanding concepts. Student Worksheets are needed to support practical work. Student Worksheets used in learning are not feasible. Fulfillment of the feasibility test in learning in this study is intended to test and determine the level of feasibility of Student Worksheets Based on the Starter Experiment Approach (SWBSEA). The design of the SWBSEA is based on curriculum needs, Student knowledge, and Student skills. Testing the level of feasibility and application of SWBSEA is given to Students during learning and submits a questionnaire to assess the feasibility of use. The results showed that SWBSEA in Physics learning was considered feasible in terms of Content Display, Subject Display, Component Completeness, and Grammar.
