Abstract

This study aims to determine the physics concept contained in the traditional toy othok-othok ship. This research was conducted using interview techniques. Data were collected at Untung Suropati Street, Kalipancur, Ngaliyan, Semarang. The data that has been obtained are then analyzed to find out what are the physics concepts contained in the othok-othok ship toy. The results showed that the othok-othok toy contained the physics concepts of Archimedes' Principles, First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics, Newton's Third Law, and sound. Keywords: physics concept, othok-othok shipThis study aims to determine the physics concept contained in the traditional toy othok-othok ship. This research was conducted using interview techniques. Abstract

This study aims to determine the acceleration of gravity on the pendulum swing with video tracking method. The research was conducted through video on a simple pendulum swing experiment. The recorded video is imported into the Tracker app to get the period and frequency for each trial with different rope lengths. The rope length and mass data were measured manually, and the period and frequency data were obtained through video tracking analysis. The research results are shown in tables and graphs. Data analysis used a linear regression equation between the square of the period and the length of the pendulum. The magnitude of the acceleration due to gravity is obtained through the gradient of the quadratic equation and the length of the rope. The results show that the acceleration of gravity through video tracking analysis is 9.735 m/s2 .Keywords: pendulum swing, video tracking, acceletiation of gravity

Abstract

Various skills that must be mastered by students to be able to prepare themselves to match the human resources of developed countries are today's challenges. One of these skills is critical thinking. The application of the STEM approach is a new era to meet the learning objectives in the 21st century. And by applying the HOTS-based STEM approach will improve students' critical thinking skills. The research in this article uses the meta-analysis method by finding the effect size calculation value of each journal analyzed. Thus, it is found that the learning model that has a major effect on the application of the HOTS-based STEM approach is the experimental learning model, with the material of Electricity and Magnetism and with the help of simulation media at the XII grade high school level. Keywords: STEM Approach, HOTS, Critical Thinking

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of learning media for contextual model physics comics with the POE method on the subject of effort and energy towards the interest in learning physics. This study uses literature study research methods (literature) from various relevant sources such as articles, books, or data to support researchers in solving the problems raised. This research method is carried out by searching for and collecting data that is relevant and by the situation. It can be used as a reference for researchers in completing this research. This study indicates that the use of comic learning media can increase students' interest in learning physics. In addition to that, by applying the POE method, it is also possible to improve students' higher-order thinking.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce physics LKPD based on Cooperative GI on the subject matter of Static Fluid which is feasible to be applied in the physics learning process at school and determine the response of students after using the developed LKPD.The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA totaling 18 students. This type of research is a development research or Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D Model. The instruments used in this study consisted of a validation questionnaire for material experts and learning experts, a questionnaire for the assessment of physics teachers, and a questionnaire for students' responses to the physics LKPD based on cooperative learning. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive. From the results of data analysis obtained material expert validation of 82%, learning experts 81%, physics teacher assessment of 90% with each of these percentages included in the very good category. While in the broad trial the percentage of student responses with a sample of 15 people was 86.06% with very good criteria, so that based on the results of validation, physics teacher assessment and student responses it can be concluded that Cooperative-based physics LKPD on the subject matter of Static Fluid is feasible to use in the learning process.
