Abstract

The learning resources used in learning physics class XI SMAN 1 Namorambe is only a package book. In fact, teachers and students are not satisfied with the existing learning resources, therefore a new learning resource is needed and is expected to meet the needs of teachers and students. This research focuses on the development of physics learning modules on sound waves material class XI SMA. This study aims to determine the validity level of the guided inquiry-based module on the subject of sound waves that have been developed. This research is an R & D (Research and Development) development research using the 4-D model which has four main stages, namely the defining stage (define), the design stage (Design), the development stage (Development), and the dissemination stage (disseminate). The research instruments used are validation instruments consisting of validation instruments by material experts and media expert validation instruments. The results showed that the validity level of the guided inquiry-based physics learning module produced was on very valid criteria so it was feasible to use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to produce interactive learning media based on articulate storyline 3 software to test the feasibility of the developed media, determine the response of students to the developed media and test the effectiveness of Interactive Learning media. This type of research is research and development with a development design model 4D (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). The subjects of this study were 40 students of Class XI in SMA Negeri 14 Medan. The research instruments used were observation sheet, interview instrument, student response questionnaire and test instrument. Based on the results of the feasibility test by material experts obtained a percentage of 90% with very decent criteria, assessment by media experts is 86% with very decent criteria and assessment by expert users (teachers) is 90% with very decent criteria. The effectiveness of Interactive Learning Media obtained a value calculated with a gain of 0.43. The results were included in the medium category in improving students ' cognitive abilities. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Interactive Learning media based on articulate storyline 3 software that has been developed is very feasible to be used as a medium in the process of learning physics and can improve students cognitive abilities. Keywords: Interactive Learning Media, 4D Thiagarajan, Articulate Storyline 3

Abstract

Misconception is a mismatch between the understanding of the concept known by students and the actual concept. Physics is a science that has several concepts. The profile of misconceptions on physics concepts must be identified so that students have an appropriate understanding of the concepts. The purpose of this research is to analyze students™ concept understanding and misconceptions of Rotational Dynamics material using a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test. The type of research used is descriptive with qualitative and quantitative approaches. This research was conducted in one of the high schools in Medan in Grade XI IPA. The population in this research was grade XI students majoring in IPA. The research sample was obtained by using purposive sampling technique as many as 64 students of grade XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3. Sampling based on certain criteria from population participants. The criteria are classes whose students have finished learning Rotational Dynamics material and have not been tested on Rotational Dynamics material. Data collection techniques in the form of diagnostic tests response questionnaires and interviews. The test used is a four-tier multiple choice diagnostic test that has been validated by experts. The diagnostic test consists of 18 valid items with a reliability of 0.912 including a very high category, good differentiating power, and moderate difficulty level. The results showed that students' concept understanding of Rotational Dynamics material was categorized as moderate with 44.88% of students understood the concept, 50.17% of students had misconceptions, and 4.95% of students did not understand the concept, and students' responses to the use of four-tier multiple choice diagnostic tests obtained 80% with good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility and ability of learners to the instruments developed. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantarcarriedin the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The type of research used is R & D (Reaserch and Development) using 3D models. The study was conducted on students who have studied static electricity materials. The samples used in this study were 36 students from Class XII-IPA 3 taken byrandom sampling. Data collection techniques in this study is by way of interviews, tests, and provide a response questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using the person correlation equation with diagnostic tests. The results of this study is a test instrument to measure the ability of students in SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar on static electricity as many as 20 items of diagnostic questionsthree tier multiple choice. The item is already valid measured by the estimated product moment, has a high level of reliability with a value of 0.712, the difficulty level of the item is good. The results of the analysis of the problem items and the analysis of the ability of students showed that the test instruments used are effective in measuring the ability of students in SMA Negeri 6 Pematangsiantar on static electricity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning model on high school students™ science process skills. The type of research used is a quasi experimental research design with a two group pretest posttest design. The population used was students of class XI MIA SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Pakam, totaling 2 classes. The research sample consisted of two classes, the class taken was XI MIA I as the experimental class and XI MIA III as the control class. The instrument used is a science process skills test in the form of an essay consisting of 10 questions that hav been declared valid by the validator. Based on the results of the study, the average pretest score for the experimental class was 20,68 and the pretest for the control class 18,85. The results of testing the hypothesis showed that a significant value of 0,411 >  0,05 otherwise  is accepted or both classes have the same initial abilities. After applying the Project Based Learning model, the average posttest score of the experimental class was 77,68 and that of the control class was 64,71. The results of testing the hypothesis showed that a significant value of 0,00 < = 0,05, it is stated that  is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence of the Project Based Learning model on student™s science process skills.
