Abstract

Da'wah serves as a crucial medium for disseminating and acquiring religious knowledge within the community. Effective da'wah requires preachers to adopt appropriate communication strategies that align with the linguistic and cognitive abilities of the audience, ensuring successful message reception and implementation. Sundanese is one of the languages commonly used by preachers in certain regions, particularly in social and religious interactions. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of delivering da'wah in Sundanese within the Wanaraja Garut area. The findings indicate that preaching in Sundanese proves to be highly effective among the Sundanese community. It not only facilitates better understanding but also reinforces cultural identity, preserving traditional values that are gradually fading. The use of Sundanese in da'wah contributes to reviving traditional etiquette, such as respectful speech towards elders and politeness in social interactions. This study highlights the significance of language as a cultural and religious tool in sustaining both Islamic teachings and Sundanese traditions.

Abstract

This study explores the role of technology in optimizing zakat management for the economic empowerment of the Muslim community. As an essential instrument in Islamic economics, zakat holds significant potential in poverty alleviation and enhancing societal welfare. However, conventional zakat management often faces challenges such as a lack of transparency, accountability, and distribution efficiency. In the digital era, technology offers strategic solutions through innovations such as digital platforms, blockchain-based applications, big data analytics, and electronic payment systems. This study employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method to analyze the implementation of technology in zakat management across various zakat institutions. The findings indicate that technology enhances the efficiency of zakat collection, expands the reach of muzakki (donors), and ensures a more targeted distribution to mustahik (recipients). Furthermore, technology fosters transparency and strengthens public trust in zakat management institutions. Thus, integrating technology into zakat management not only reinforces zakat’s role as a social finance instrument but also serves as a catalyst for the sustainable economic empowerment of the Muslim community.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of political ethics in the management of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) in North Sumatra. It focuses on decision-making, cadre formation, political campaigns, discipline enforcement, and the impact of political ethics on public perception and party performance. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the study incorporates in-depth interviews with PDIP cadres, students, and community members, along with document analysis of internal policies. Findings reveal that PDIP North Sumatra has integrated political ethics through transparency, moral-based cadre training, and ethical campaigning. However, challenges remain, including external political pressure, a pragmatic local political culture, and internal resistance to change. Despite these obstacles, consistent adherence to political ethics has enhanced the party’s image, strengthened public trust, and improved its political standing. The study concludes that successful political ethics implementation depends on leadership, organizational culture, and external political dynamics. Recommendations include strengthening internal oversight, enhancing political education for cadres, and collaborating with independent institutions to ensure ethical governance. This research contributes to understanding how political ethics shape local party dynamics and democratic development in Indonesia.

Abstract

Manuscript conservation is vital for safeguarding cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, and societal values. This study explores traditional manuscript storage and preservation practices in Jember Regency through a philological approach encompassing inventory, conservation, and digitization. Unlike previous research, this study provides a comprehensive analysis of the challenges and solutions in manuscript conservation, highlighting the intersection of traditional and modern preservation techniques. It addresses two key research questions: (1) What is the current state of manuscript culture in Jember Regency? and (2) How are manuscripts traditionally preserved in this region? Employing a philological methodology, the study involves manuscript identification, conservation initiatives, and digital preservation strategies to ensure long-term accessibility. The findings reveal that traditional storage methods significantly impact manuscript longevity, necessitating an integrated approach that merges indigenous conservation practices with digital preservation. This research contributes to manuscript preservation efforts, particularly in Jember Regency, by underscoring the role of local communities in protecting historical documents. Furthermore, the knowledge embedded within these manuscripts provides invaluable historical and cultural insights, reinforcing their significance as a foundational source for future scholarship and heritage preservation.

Abstract

The implementation of Multiple Intelligence (MI) theory in primary education offers significant potential for fostering inclusive and student-centered learning. This study explores the theoretical foundations of MI, its application in Indonesian primary education, and the challenges and opportunities it presents. MI theory, introduced by Howard Gardner, posits that intelligence comprises multiple dimensions beyond conventional IQ measures, encompassing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical aspects. This study employs a qualitative approach, analyzing the application of MI in primary school curricula and pedagogical practices. Findings indicate that MI integration enables teachers to design personalized learning strategies based on students' dominant intelligences, enhancing engagement and learning outcomes. However, challenges such as insufficient teacher training, resource constraints, and reliance on standardized assessments hinder effective implementation. Despite these obstacles, MI provides a framework for addressing student diversity and improving overall educational quality. With curriculum adjustments, targeted teacher training, and enhanced educational infrastructure, MI can serve as a transformative approach to achieving more inclusive and equitable primary education in Indonesia.
