Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of the process oriented guided inquiry learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills and independent learning in economics subjects at SMA Pangudi Luhur Sedayu.This research is a classroom action research (CAR) with one action cycle conducted at SMA Pangudi Luhur Santo Louis IX Sedayu. The research subjects were 25 students of class XI IPA 1, while the objects of the study were the ability to think critically and study independently in economics. Data collection techniques using tests and questionnaires.The results of the data analysis show that: 1) the level of students' critical thinking skills before the application of the process oriented guided inquiry learning model is still quite critical; 2) the level of student learning independence before the application of the process oriented guided inquiry learning model was classified as less independent; 3) the application of the process-oriented guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills through a number of learning activities that condition students to carry out discussion activities in groups to encourage students to find new ideas and ideas, solve problems in a variety of ways; and 4) Application of the process-oriented guided inquiry learning model can increase student learning independence, where through flexible, collaborative and creative learning activities that allow students to study material independently, work on questions independently, and carry out discussions and communication among students with teachers more actively and flexibly.Keywords: critical thinking skills, independent learning, process oriented guided inquiry learning, classroom action research

Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) how is the development of Indonesia’s foreign debt; 2) what are the impacts of foreign debt on the Indonesian economy; and 3) what are the policy alternatives that can be taken to minimize the negative impact of foreign debt on the Indonesian economy. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques used are observation and literature/documentation studies. Literature study is a data collection technique by conducting a review study of books, literature, notes, and reports that have to do with the problem being solved. The data in this study were obtained from various publications of government institutions such as Bank Indonesia, the Central Statistics Agency, and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The results of the study show that: 1) External debt is able to encourage Indonesia’s economic growth in economic sectors that absorb high external debt. 2) Domestic saving shows an increasing role. 3) The swap scheme can be considered as a solution to the high external debt. Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there are differences in learning motivation, learning achievement, and student’s activity in the classroom perceived from the participation of students in learning guidance course program. This research is a quantitative-comparative research which was conducted in Maret 2019. The population of this research were all students of SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta. The samples of this research were 240 students of the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 7 Yogyakarta taken by using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by using questionnaire and analyzed by using Independent Sample T-test. The result of this research shows: (1) there is difference in learning motivation from the participation of students in the learning guidance course program (sig.(2-tailed) = 0,011 0,05); (2) there is no difference in learning achievement from the participation of students in the learning course program (sig.(2-tailed) = 0,037 0,05). 0,104 0,05); (3) there is difference in student’s activity in the classroom perceived from the participation of students in the learning guidance course program (sig.(2-tailed) = 0,037 0,05).Keywords: learning motivation, learning achievement, student’s activity, learning guidance course program

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a product of appropriate and qualified video-based learning media for Basic Accounting subjects in BC 3.10 and 4.10 on Journal of Adjustment for Grade X of vocational high school students specializing in the Institution Financial Accounting Expertise. The research method was Research and Development (RD). The steps utilized in this development were the development procedures according to Dick and Carey. This research was divided into 3 stages, namely: individual trial phase, small group trial, and large grup trials. The subject of the study were Grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Godean specializing in the Institution Financial Accounting Expertise. The number of the subjects in this study were 43 students, consisting of 3 students for individual trials, 5 students for small group trials, and 35 students for large grup trials. Quality and feasibility assessment data along with suggestions for revision of video-based learning media products were collected using questionnaires. The analysis used was qualitative and quantitative in the form of an average. The results showed that video-based instructional media was decent used in learning in the classroom. This is indicated by the results of the assessment of video-based learning media on (1) validation of the material experts, included in the “good” criteria with an average score of 4.10, (2) validation of the phase I media experts, including the “good” criteria with an average score of 4.11, (3) validation of phase II media experts, included in the criteria of “very good” with an average score of 4.39, (4) validation of linguists, included in the criteria of “very good” with an average score of 4.53, (5) validation of stage I practitioners included in the criteria of “very good” with an average score of 4.76, (6) validation of practitioners of stage II included in the criteria of “very good” with scores an average of 4.70, (7) the results of the individual trial evaluation are included in the “very good” criteria with an average score of 4.21, and (8) the results of the small group trial evaluation are included in the “very good” criteria with an average score of 4, 46.Keywords: Development, video-based teaching media in basic, journal of adjustment

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of body image and self-management on student ability to cooperate in economics learning.This research is explanatory study conducted in July-August 2022 in SMA BOPKRI 2 Yogyakarta. The research population were students of class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 covered 44 students. The research sample was 44 students. The research sampling technique was saturated sampling technique. The data collection technique was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique was multiple linear regression.The results of data analysis showed that: (1) body image had no effect on student ability to cooperate; (2) self-management had effect on student ability to cooperate; and (3) body image and management could be predictors of student ability to cooperate.Keywords: body image, self management, ability to cooperate

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) the correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in term of self-confidence; (2) the correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in termof learning motivation; and (3) the correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in term of students’ semesters. This research was correlational study which was conducted from April to May 2021. The population of this research were active students of the Accounting Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sanata Dharma University, totaling 204 students. The samples in this study amounted to 135 students who were taken by using proportional random sampling technique. The data were analyzed by product moment correlation. The results of this study indicated that: 1) there was a correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in student respondents with high self-confidence (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,037), while there was no correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in student respondents with low self-confidence. (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,095); 2) there was a correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in highly motivated student respondents (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,038), while there was no relationship between online media literacy and learning performance in respondents low- motivated students (Sig.(2-tailed) = 0,488); and 3) there was a correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in high-semester student respondents (Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,014), while there was no correlation between online media literacy and learning performance in the lower semester tiered student respondents (Sig. Abstract

Stock Return is the result of profit or loss from an investment and becomes the driving motivation in the investment process. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of Profitability, Liquidity and Firm Size on Stock Return of Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2020-2021. The population in this study are all Manufacturing Companies in the Consumer Goods Industry Sector listed on the IDX in 2020-2021. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling and 28 companies that meet the criteria. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that Profitability and Firm Size have an effect on Stock Return. Abstract

This research aims to create and develop a video-based assessment product in Basic Banking Course to teach the basic competence number 3.9, i.e. Time Deposits, to the tenth grade Accounting students and to determine the feasibility of the learning products based on media experts, assessment experts, linguists, accounting learning practitioners, and students’ responses. This research is a research and development (RD) consisting of 8 stages, namely : 1) research and information collection, 2) planning, 3) developing preliminary from of product 4) preliminary field testing, 5) main product revision, 6) main field testing, 7) final product revision, 8) dissemination and implementation. The media were validated by a media expert, an assessment expert, a linguist, and an accounting teacher in SMK Negeri 1 Tempel. The media was tested on 47 tenth grade Accounting students of SMK Negeri 1 Tempel. The results showed that the level of feasibility of the video-based assessment product was categorized 1) as “feasible” based on the validation of assessment experts, with a mean score of 3.72; 2) as “strongly feasible” based on the validation of media experts, with a mean score of 4.17 ; 3) as “strongly feasible” based on the validation of linguists, with a mean score of 4.26; 4) and as “strongly feasible” based on the validation of accounting learning practitioners, with a mean score of 4.8. Student showed a positive response to this assessment product after being tested as shown in the observation sheet. Thus, the video-based learning product is feasible to be used in Accounting learning, especially Basic Banking Course discussing Basic Competence number 3.9: Time Deposits.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there were: (1) a positive influence of students’ learning styles on learning achievements in economic subjects (cross interests) for high school students of Class XI MIPA, and (2) a positive influence of teachers’ learning strategies on learning achievements in economic subjects (cross- interest) high school students of class XI MIPA. This research was an ex-post facto research-correlation study conducted on April 8-19, 2021. The populations of this research were all students of Class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Kalasan with a total of 144 students. The samples of this research were totaling 108 students, taken by using a simple random sampling technique. The data were collected by using questionnaires and documentation. The hypothesis was tested by using Spearman Rank correlation. The results of this study were: (1) there was a positive effect of students’ learning styles on learning achievements in economic subjects (cross interests) for high school students of Class XI MIPA, with an r value of 0,213 and a significance value of 0,013 level of significance 0,05; and (2) there was no positive effect of teachers’ learning strategies on learning achievements in economics subjects (cross interests) for high school students of Class XI MIPA, with an r-count value of 0,142 and a significance value of 0,071 level of significance 0,05.Keywords: Students’ learning achievement, students’ learning styles, teachers’ learning strategy.

Abstract

Budget analysis and realization of operational expenses are crucial in hospital financial management. The purpose of this research is to measure the effectiveness and accuracy of the budget. Hospital data is collected and compared, revealing variations due to fluctuations in medical, operational costs, and technological developments. These variations have the potential to impact the financial performance of the hospital, such as inefficient cash management and potential budget deficits.This analysis aims to enhance monitoring and controlling variable costs, effective negotiations with suppliers, and diversification of revenue sources. Overall, the analysis of budget and realization of operational expenses in hospitals becomes a crucial step in maintaining financial balance, operational sustainability, and financial stability to provide quality healthcare services.Keywords: budget, realization, operational expenses
