Abstract

The rapid advancement in human-computer interaction demands rigorous professional standardization to ensure the quality and ethics of interface development globally. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of global professional standards, with a primary focus on ISO 9241-110 and the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence (AI) interaction guidelines between 2020 and 2025. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this research evaluates relevant literature to identify convergences and divergences between conventional interface design principles and the requirements of modern adaptive interaction. The analysis results indicate that while classical ergonomic principles remain the core foundation, there is a significant shift toward more flexible standards in handling Human-AI interaction. These findings provide insights for information system practitioners and developers in adopting international standards appropriate to the current technological context. In conclusion, the integration between traditional ISO standards and the latest AI guidelines is essential to create interfaces that are not only user-friendly but also professionally accountable.

Abstract

This study implements the Apriori algorithm-based Market Basket Analysis (MBA) on the Online Retail II dataset sourced from Kaggle, which contains 1,067,371 transaction records from a UK-based online retail company covering the period 2009–2011. The research aims to identify customer purchasing patterns and discover product combinations frequently bought together to support bundling strategies and cross-selling recommendations. After a data cleaning process that reduced the dataset to 776,872 valid records, a basket matrix was formed comprising 29,527 transactions and 120 top products. The Apriori algorithm was applied with a minimum support threshold of 2%, minimum confidence of 30%, and minimum lift of 1.0, resulting in 148 frequent itemsets and 44 association rules. The analysis revealed several strong product pair associations, including Roses Regency Teacup and Saucer and Green Regency Teacup and Saucer (support: 0.0252, confidence: 0.7036, lift: 22.2670), Spaceboy Lunch Box and Dolly Girl Lunch Box (confidence: 0.6065, lift: 17.9440), and Alarm Clock Bakelike Red and Alarm Clock Bakelike Green (confidence: 0.6136, lift: 17.4052). These findings provide valuable insights for retailers to design effective product bundling, optimize store layouts, and implement targeted promotional campaigns.

Abstract

The development of information technology has greatly influenced various aspects of education, including the attendance administration system for teachers and students. Manual attendance processes still have several weaknesses, such as data recording errors, attendance manipulation risks, and time-consuming recap processes. This research aims to develop an online attendance system for teachers and students using QR Code at SMK Al Hasyimy Bantal as a solution to replace the existing manual attendance system and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of attendance management. The research methods used include observation, interviews, and literature studies, while the system development method employs the Waterfall model. The system was developed as a website-based application using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results show that the QR Code-based attendance system successfully automates the attendance recording process in real-time, facilitating the monitoring of teacher and student attendance data. In addition, the system accelerates the attendance process, minimizes data recording errors, and simplifies attendance report generation. With this system, the attendance administration process at SMK Al Hasyimy Bantal becomes more structured, faster, and integrated.

Abstract

Digital streaming platforms such as Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube have become an inseparable part of Indonesian society's digital life. Each platform features a content recommendation system designed to enhance user engagement and satisfaction. This study aims to analyze descriptively and qualitatively and compare the recommendation system features implemented by these three platforms. Data were collected through direct observation, literature review, and official documentation analysis. Results show that the three platforms adopt different personalization approaches: Netflix emphasizes visual personalization, Spotify excels in activity context understanding, while YouTube relies on real-time engagement signals. This study provides a comprehensive overview of each platform's characteristics that can serve as a reference for developing local recommendation systems in Indonesia.

Abstract

Customer churn is a condition when customers stop using company services within a certain period. A high churn rate can negatively impact company revenue and customer loyalty, especially in telecommunications companies. This study aims to implement the Random Forest algorithm to predict customer churn in order to support customer retention strategies. The dataset used in this study is Telco Customer Churn obtained from Kaggle with a total of 7043 customer records. This research applies the CRISP-DM methodology consisting of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The preprocessing stage includes handling missing values, transforming data types, and encoding categorical data. The modeling process uses the Random Forest Classifier algorithm with an 80:20 split between training and testing data. The results show that the Random Forest model achieved an accuracy of 77% in predicting customer churn. The most influential factors affecting churn based on feature importance are TotalCharges, tenure, MonthlyCharges, and customer contract types. Based on the research results, the Random Forest algorithm can help companies identify customers with churn potential and support more effective customer retention strategies.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on social media platforms has significantly shaped the way users receive and evaluate information. This study aims to analyze the impact of AI exposure on social media regarding hoax dissemination and the information trust perception of students in the Computerized Accounting Study Program at Sriwijaya University. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey method using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire distributed to 58 respondents selected through simple random sampling from a population of 136 active students. Data were analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The final research instrument was confirmed to be valid through a three-stage validity testing process and was found to be reliable. The classical assumption tests indicated that the regression model met the requirements of normality, absence of multicollinearity, and homoscedasticity. The analysis revealed that both AI exposure and hoax dissemination have a positive and significant influence on students’ information trust perception, with hoax dissemination demonstrating a stronger effect. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination showed that 77.4% of the variation in students’ trust perception could be explained by the two independent variables. These findings highlight the urgent need for universities to integrate digital literacy and AI literacy programs into the academic curriculum to reduce the negative effects of AI-driven misinformation and improve students’ ability to evaluate information critically.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has significantly impacted various sectors, including education. One of the most rapidly advancing innovations is the Large Language Model (LLM), an AI-based language model capable of understanding and generating natural language text. This study aims to examine how Large Language Models can be utilized as digital learning assistants to support the teaching and learning process. The research method employed is a literature review by reading and analyzing various scientific journals, books, research reports, and relevant academic publications from the last five years. The analysis was conducted to identify the benefits, opportunities, challenges, and implications of using Large Language Models in the field of education. The findings indicate that Large Language Models can assist students in understanding learning materials, obtaining information quickly, supporting self-directed learning, and enhancing interaction in the learning process. On the other hand, the use of Large Language Models also presents several challenges, such as information accuracy, potential user dependency, and academic ethics issues. Based on the findings, Large Language Models have significant potential as digital learning assistants that can improve learning effectiveness when used wisely and supported by adequate digital literacy.

Abstract

The ability to manage incoming abd outgoing correspondence is an essential skill in educational environments, as it ensures that all school activities run smoothly. However, challenges remain in mastering proper writing techniques and effective document management, both among administrative staff and students. This study aims to examine how effectively a Microsoft Word seminar can improve correspondence management skills at SMPN 1 Arjasa. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the seminar had a positive impact on participants’ understanding of various Microsoft Word features, including creating formal letters, document layout, and applying templates in accordance with administrative standars. Additionally, participants showed improvement in their ability to produce well-structured and proffessional official letters. Therefore, the Microsoft Word seminar can be considered and effective approach to enhancing correspondence management skills in the school anvironment.

Abstract

The current development of modern wearable technology has brought forth various crucial innovations, one of which is the smartwatch that utilizes the integration system of the Internet of Things (IoT). A smartwatch is a smart device that functions not only as a conventional timekeeper but also possesses various advanced features such as message notifications, health monitoring, activity tracking, and wireless connectivity with smartphones. This study aims to analyze the development of smartwatch technology, its primary features, and its impact on the efficiency of daily life activities.   The research method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach, namely by collecting data from relevant journals, books, and scientific articles. The results indicate that smartwatches are developing rapidly alongside technological advancements such as IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These devices provide numerous tangible benefits, particularly in aspects of self-health monitoring, seamless communication, and optimization of user productivity. However, on the other hand, the implementation of this technology also brings negative impacts such as an increase in electronic waste (e-waste), high battery energy consumption, as well as the risk of technology dependency and data privacy vulnerability issues. In conclusion, IoT-based smartwatches represent a technology that contributes significantly to the modern lifestyle ecosystem. Therefore, their utilization needs to be carried out wisely through an increased understanding of data privacy security risks as well as device screen time management so that the benefits obtained can be more optimal and sustainable.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged digital transformation in data management, including within religious organizations and congregational communities. At Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo, particularly in the IKSASS Sulawesi Putri Rayon, the management of congregants' departure data is still conducted manually, resulting in various issues such as delays in information delivery, recording errors, and difficulties in data tracking. The utilization of web-based information systems has been proven to improve efficiency and accuracy in data management [1]. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based information system for managing congregants' departure data to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of data administration. The research methods employed in this study include literature review, observation, interviews, and system development using the Waterfall method, which consists of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Structured system development methods such as Waterfall and other approaches have been widely applied in the development of web-based information systems [2], [3]. The system was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database and was designed with key features including congregant data entry, departure record management, data searching, and web-based reporting that can be accessed in real time. The results of the study indicate that the web-based information system facilitates the management of congregant data, improves recording accuracy, and accelerates the process of information presentation. The implementation of information systems in religious and congregational service sectors has also demonstrated improvements in service quality and transparency of data management [4], [5]. With the implementation of this system, it is expected that the administrators of the IKSASS Sulawesi Putri Rayon at Pondok Pesantren Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Sukorejo will be able to manage data in a more structured, transparent, and efficient manner.
