Abstract

WHO predicts an increase in the number of DM patients in Indonesia to around 21.3 million in 2030. Indonesia is ranked fourth in the world for the number of DM sufferers. The Basic Health Research Report in 2018 had the 2nd highest mortality aged 45-54 year group at 14.7%. Data from Hasanudin Damrah Hospital, the number of DM sufferers in 2021 was 902 cases, in 2022 there were 602 and in 2023 from January to June there were 497. Data from health workers at Hasanudin Damrah Hospital said that many DM sufferers did not check their blood sugar levels. The aim of the research is to determine a correlation between education and family support and regular control of blood sugar levels in Diabetes Mellitus sufferers at Hasanudin Damrah Manna Hospital. This research is a quantitative research using a cross sectional study design. The number of samples in the study was 69 respondents. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test. The results of the research were that most of the respondents had a secondary education level, 41 respondents (59.4%), most of the respondents did not have family support, 37 respondents (53.6%), some of the respondents had irregular control of blood sugar levels, 38 respondents (55.1%). There is a significant correlation between education (0.000) and family support (0.004) with regular control of blood sugar levels at Hasanudin Damrah Manna Hospital. It is hoped that further research can be carried out to look at the aspect of external support for regular control of blood sugar levels in DM sufferers.

Abstract

Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) is an acute respiratory tract disease with a variety of symptoms. ARI is also a disease very closely related to environmental sanitation and clean living behaviour. Environmental conditions are wet, humid, hot and smelly at PT X. It is known that the hot conditions of the factory caused by the rubber processing process can have an impact on the onset of various diseases such as ARI symptoms. This research is a quantitative study with a Cross Sectional design. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the prevention behaviour of Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) at PT X in 2023. The sample in this study were 55 workers. The sampling method used Total Sampling. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between knowledge with a p-value = 0.004, and motivation with a p-value = 0.000 with the behaviour of preventing Acute Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI) at PT X in 2023. It is recommended to provide counselling, supervision, sanctions to workers who do not use PPE and give rewards or awards to workers who always use PPE and conduct regular checks regarding ARI.

Background: Hospitals are health service facilities that aim to provide complete individual health services, focusing more on health promotion and prevention efforts without ignoring curative-rehabilitative efforts that provide inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. In health services in hospitals, one indicator of the success of health services is patient satisfaction. Patient satisfaction is the result of patient opinion and assessment of the performance of services provided by health service facilities. Patient satisfaction is a reflection of the quality of health services. Patient satisfaction is a level of patient feeling that arises as a result of the performance of health services obtained after the patient compares it with what he expected. There were 4 patients who were dissatisfied with patient service. Patient dissatisfaction is due to the poor hospital environment and staff who are less friendly in providing health services to patients. The general aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the quality of BPJS patient services in class III inpatient rooms and the level of satisfaction at Hassanudin Damrah Manna Hospital. Method: This research uses a correlational quantitative approach to find the relationship between the quality of BPJS patient services in Class III inpatient rooms and the level of satisfaction at Hassanudin Damrah Manna Hospital which was carried out from 1 September to 31 September 2024 and a sample of 82 respondents. The research results showed that the majority of BPJS patients in Class III treatment rooms, namely 58.8% stated that the officers' responsiveness was good, 50% stated that health assurance (guarantee) was good, 59.8% stated that Tangible (Physical Evidence) was good, 62 .2% said the officer's empathy was good and 59.8% said the officer's reliability was good. This research can provide suggestions to Hassanudin Damrah Manna Hospital to improve patient satisfaction services.

This study used descriptive method with purposive sampling technique. The sample size of Respondents amounted to 12 people and environmental samples amounted to 5 rooms that produce solid medical waste. The results of this study, obtained an average medical waste generation of 0.64 kg/day. Handling of medical waste at the reduction stage 75% meets the requirements, the sorting and packaging stage 100% meets the requirements, the transportation stage 20% meets the requirements, the temporary storage stage 87.5% meets the requirements, in facilities and infrastructure 75% meets the requirements. Aspects of knowledge and behavior of health workers are categorized as good 100%. The knowledge aspect of janitors is categorized as good 50% and sufficient 50%.The aspect of the behavior of janitors is categorized as 100% sufficient. It is advised that the health center add infrastructure for managing medical waste, such as trolleys for waste transportation, cold storage for waste kept longer than two days, scales, and instructions for cleaning staff on how to handle solid medical waste.

Abstract

The Maternal Mortality Rate in Indonesia is still relatively high, namely 305/100,000 KH. The number of maternal deaths in West Java Province in 2020 was 745 cases. The causes of maternal death are still dominated by bleeding 28% and hypertension 29%. Indramayu Regency reported 61 cases in 2018, 40 cases in 2019 and 38 cases in 2020. The purpose of this study was to analyze the close determinants, intermediate determinants and distant determinants of maternal death in Indramayu Regency in 2020. This type of research is observational analytic with a case control study design. The sample was 38 case groups and the control group was 76 mothers giving birth. Data analysis includes univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (Chi-Square) and multivariate analysis using logistic regression. The results showed a relationship between close determinants pregnancy complications (p value 0.000), childbirth complications (p value 0.000) postpartum complications (p value 0.000) with maternal mortality. There is a relationship between the quality of service (p value 0.000) with maternal mortality. There is a relationship between distant determinants of education (p value 0.017) with maternal mortality. There is no relationship between anemia status (p value 0.399), antenatal examination (p value 0.276) with maternal mortality, There is no relationship between distant determinants of work (p value 0.331), economic status (p value 0.789) with maternal mortality. The most dominant factor related to maternal mortality is pregnancy complications with (p value 0.000).
