Abstract

The dynamics of the modern job market require college graduates to not only excel academically but also possess adequate professional preparedness. This study aims to analyze the influence of career motivation, internship experience, and soft skills on the work interest of students at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Pertiba University, with perceived work readiness as a mediating variable and Grade Point Average (GPA) as a control variable. This study used a quantitative approach with an explanatory design. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed to final-year students who had participated in the internship program. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results showed that internship experience and soft skills had a positive and significant effect on perceived work readiness, while career motivation had no significant effect. Perceived work readiness was shown to partially mediate the relationship between internship experience and soft skills on work interest. Meanwhile, GPA did not show a significant effect on work interest. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening practical experience and developing interpersonal competencies in higher education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of readiness of Tempe MSME UD. Bismillah in implementing Financial Accounting Standards for Entities Without Public Accountability (SAK ETAP) in Delitua District. The implementation of SAK ETAP is an effort to improve the quality of MSME financial reports to make them more relevant, reliable, and acceptable to stakeholders, especially in terms of access to financing and business transparency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and documentation of accounting practices carried out by business actors. The results of the study indicate that Tempe MSME UD. Bismillah is in the early stages of readiness, with a financial recording system that is still simple and does not refer to the principles of SAK ETAP. The main factors inhibiting the implementation of this standard include low accounting literacy, limited human resources, and the less-than-optimal role of supporting agencies such as the cooperative and MSME office. However, there is potential for development through increasing the willingness of business actors to learn and receive mentoring. This study recommends intervention from related parties in the form of technical training, provision of SAK ETAP modules tailored to the characteristics of MSMEs, and the establishment of a sustainable mentoring program so that the implementation of SAK ETAP can be realized gradually.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of information quality and innovation on ChatGPT Plus user satisfaction, with perceived value as a mediating variable. This study used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique on 207 ChatGPT Plus user respondents in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with WarpPLS 7.0. The results showed that information quality and innovation had a positive and significant effect on perceived value and user satisfaction. In addition, perceived value was proven to have a significant effect on satisfaction and acted as a mediating variable. These findings indicate that improving information quality and service innovation can increase perceived value and user satisfaction. Future research is recommended to add variables such as trust, ease of use, and user experience to enrich the research model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze competitive advantage development strategies to improve customer satisfaction in the logistics business in Indonesia. Increasingly fierce competition demands logistics companies to be able to create superior value through service quality and customer value. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of logistics service users, with data collection through an online questionnaire. The variables studied include service quality, customer value, competitive advantage, and customer satisfaction. Data analysis was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the relationship between variables. The results show that service quality and customer value have a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage. In addition, service quality, customer value, and competitive advantage also have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. These findings indicate that improving service quality and creating customer value can effectively enhance a company's competitive advantage. A strong competitive advantage will impact on increasing customer satisfaction with the services received. Therefore, logistics companies need to continue to develop strategies that focus on improving service quality and customer value to maintain competitiveness and increase customer satisfaction sustainably.

Abstract

The risk of voluntary policy surrender is a major threat to the liquidity and stability of life insurance companies' premium reserves. Conventional actuarial valuations, which assume a static depreciation rate, often fail to accurately mitigate this risk. This study aims to integrate a predictive analytics approach into actuarial mathematics to create a dynamic Surrender Value formula. Using 10,000 historical observations of financial customers as a proxy, the analysis was conducted using the Kaplan-Meier estimator and Cox Proportional Hazard (Cox PH) regression. The Kaplan-Meier estimation results show that the probability of policy survival experiences an exponential decay from 95.8% in the first year to 80.2% in the fifth year. Cox PH modeling confirms that entry age (hazard ratio = 1.048) and female gender (hazard ratio = 1.535) significantly increase the surrender risk, while active customer interaction (hazard ratio = 0.589) acts as a protective factor. The resulting cumulative individual hazard probabilities are then integrated as weighting constants into the surrender charge formula. This integration produces penalty recommendations that adapt to each policyholder's risk profile, providing more proportional and equitable liquidity protection for insurance company operations.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of competence, work discipline, and motivation on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediating variable at the Pangkalpinang Class I Immigration Office. The study used a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The research sample consisted of 80 respondents taken using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS. The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and job satisfaction, as well as being the most dominant factor in improving performance. Motivation had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, but did not directly affect performance. Meanwhile, competence did not significantly affect performance or job satisfaction. Job satisfaction also did not significantly affect performance and was unable to mediate the relationship between variables. These findings indicate that employee performance in public service organizations is more determined by work behavior, especially discipline, than technical abilities or psychological factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of green marketing and environmental concerns on the purchase intention of thrift products among Generation Z in Medan City. This research is motivated by the high interest in thrifting amidst the controversy surrounding the regulation banning the import of used clothing. The research method used is quantitative associative. The sample consisted of 99 Generation Z respondents in Medan City selected using accidental sampling technique. Data analysis used multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results showed that partially, green marketing did not have a significant effect on purchase intention, indicating the ineffectiveness of green promotion due to product legality issues. Conversely, environmental concerns had a positive and significant effect, proving that purchasing decisions were driven more by consumers' internal environmental awareness. Simultaneously, both variables had a significant effect on purchase intention with a contribution of 28.9%. The study concluded that personal moral motives were more dominant than marketing strategies in encouraging thrift purchasing behavior.
