Abstract

This study aims to explore how Prompt Engineering Competency enhances employee productivity through Human–AI Collaboration in modern organizations. Employing a qualitative multiple case study approach, data were collected from 24 participants representing managers, HR professionals, educators, researchers, administrative staff, and information technology specialists who routinely utilized Generative AI in their daily work. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, workplace observations, and organizational document analysis and were analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings reveal three major themes. First, Prompt Engineering Competency emerged as a multidimensional strategic capability consisting of contextual prompt formulation, iterative prompt refinement, critical evaluation of AI-generated outputs, and ethical AI utilization. Second, Human–AI Collaboration significantly enhanced employee productivity through complementary intelligence, where AI accelerated routine cognitive processes while employees contributed contextual understanding, creativity, ethical judgment, and strategic decision-making. Third, organizational support including AI training, peer-learning communities, leadership commitment, and AI governance policies strengthened Prompt Engineering Competency and promoted sustainable Human–AI Collaboration across organizations. The study contributes to HRM literature by conceptualizing Prompt Engineering Competency as a distinct strategic capability that extends beyond digital competence and AI literacy. The findings provide guidance for organizations in designing competency development strategies that strengthen workforce readiness and sustainable competitive advantage in the era of Generative AI.

Abstract

Increasing environmental uncertainty, rapidly changing customer expectations, technological disruption, and intensified competition have challenged organizations to sustain long-term customer relationships using conventional marketing approaches. This study aims to conceptualize Marketing Resilience Capability (MRC) as a higher-order organizational capability that enables firms to anticipate, adapt to, and recover from market disruptions while preserving sustainable customer relationships. A qualitative multiple-case study design was employed involving organizations operating in the retail, service, and digital business sectors recognized for maintaining stable customer relationships during periods of market uncertainty. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with senior marketing managers and customer relationship executives, complemented by organizational documents, customer communication materials, and field observations. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis supported by the constant comparative method. The findings identify four interrelated dimensions of Marketing Resilience Capability namely adaptive market sensing, relational responsiveness, customer value reconfiguration, and relationship continuity management. Adaptive market sensing enables organizations to detect emerging market changes proactively; relational responsiveness strengthens customer trust through transparent and empathetic communication; customer value reconfiguration continuously aligns organizational offerings with evolving customer expectations; and relationship continuity management institutionalizes sustained customer engagement beyond transactional exchanges. Collectively, these capabilities enable organizations to maintain customer confidence, loyalty, and relationship continuity despite dynamic market conditions. The study further demonstrates that sustainable customer relationships are achieved not solely through superior products or operational excellence but through continuous organizational adaptation and relational capability development.

Abstract

This study aims to conceptualize Adaptive Organizational Intelligence Capability (AOIC) as a higher-order dynamic capability that enables organizations to continuously interpret environmental changes, integrate strategic knowledge, and facilitate adaptive employee behavior. A qualitative multiple-case study was conducted across organizations undergoing digital transformation in the technology, financial services, manufacturing, and professional service sectors. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with senior managers, human resource directors, team leaders, and employees, complemented by organizational documents, internal training materials, and workplace observations. The findings reveal that Adaptive Organizational Intelligence Capability consists of four interrelated dimensions namely environmental intelligence sensing, which continuously identifies technological and market changes; collective knowledge integration, which transforms distributed organizational knowledge into strategic insights; adaptive decision-making capability, which enables rapid and evidence-based organizational responses; and continuous learning orchestration, which promotes ongoing employee learning, experimentation, and behavioral adjustment. These dimensions collectively strengthen employees' cognitive flexibility, proactive problem-solving, resilience, and readiness to embrace organizational change. The study extends Dynamic Capability Theory by introducing Adaptive Organizational Intelligence Capability as a novel organizational capability that bridges strategic intelligence and employee adaptability within digitally transforming organizations. The proposed framework provides theoretical contributions to strategic management and organizational behavior literature while offering practical guidance for leaders seeking to cultivate adaptive workforces capable of sustaining organizational competitiveness in increasingly dynamic business environments.
