Abstract

Corporate tax planning has traditionally relied on manual processes and expert judgment to minimize tax liabilities. However, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) presents new opportunities to transform these practices through automation, real-time analysis, and predictive capabilities. To conduct this research, a comprehensive review of academic literature, case studies, and existing AI tools in tax planning was carried out. The proposed AI-based tax planning model was developed based on these findings and validated through simulations and expert feedback. The study also examined the process of integrating AI systems with existing corporate tax structures to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of implementation. Results show that AI-driven corporate tax planning significantly enhances accuracy and efficiency compared to traditional methods. The AI model provides real-time analysis and predictive insights, enabling businesses to optimize tax strategies while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations. Tax authorities also benefit from AI implementation, gaining more transparent and equitable tax structures, along with stronger supervision capabilities. The proposed model can be developed into customized software tailored to individual companies, seamlessly integrating with existing corporate systems. These findings indicate that AI has the potential to revolutionize corporate tax planning by streamlining tax management and optimizing outcomes. For businesses, AI enables personalized tax strategies that adapt to specific data and regulations, improving both compliance and long-term tax optimization.

Abstract

This research paper examines the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Indian economy and their sustainability. It analyses 85 Scopus documents from 66 sources between 2014 and 2024, revealing a peak in scientific production in 2023. The study emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices for long-term success. This comprehensive research paper rigorously examines the pivotal role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Indian economy and emphasizes the critical importance of sustainable practices for long-term success. Through meticulous analysis of 85 Scopus documents from 66 sources between 2014 and 2024, the study conclusively reveals a peak in scientific production in 2023 and robust ties between India and various other countries in this domain.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of organizational culture on employee performance through employee work motivation at PT Permodalan Nasional Madani Cianjur Branch. This research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the SmartPLS program. The population used is all employees of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani Cianjur Branch. The sample consisted of 102 respondents. The data collection technique was carried out using a questionnaire distributed online. The results showed that work motivation can significantly mediate the effect of organizational culture on employee performance at PT Permodalan Nasional Madani Cianjur Branch. The result of Direct Effect Analysis is BO -> MK : Original Sample (Path) = 0,693; t-Statistics = 10,788; P-Values = 0,000; Decision = Positive. BO -> KK : Original Sample (Path) = 0,068; t-Statistics = 1,949 P-Values = 0,052; Decision = Positive. MK -> KK : Original Sample (Path) = 0,760; t-Statistics = 13,294; P-Values = 0,000; Decision = Positive.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of population and regional minimum wages on unemployment in Central Kalimantan. Understanding the factors influencing unemployment is crucial for policymakers, particularly in regions with unique economic and demographic challenges like Central Kalimantan. The research uses data from the period 2011-2023, applying Multiple Linear Regression Analysis to investigate the relationship between population (X1), regional minimum wages (X2), and unemployment (Y). Classical assumption tests, including normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity, were conducted to ensure the validity of the regression model. The findings indicate that neither population nor regional minimum wages significantly affect unemployment in Central Kalimantan. These results suggest that other factors may play a more significant role in determining unemployment in the region, providing a basis for future research to explore additional variables and more complex interactions affecting regional unemployment rates.

Abstract

Corporate governance refers to the mechanisms and processes that direct and control a company to ensure its operations are efficient and aligned with its objectives. In the context of BRI Bank, the corporate lending program poses a significant risk to its financial stability, especially amidst the ongoing economic crisis. The deterioration in the quality of non-performing loans (NPLs) has implications for evaluating asset and debt risk quality. This study employs a quantitative research method to measure data and generalize the results from a sample to the broader population. The sample consists of BRI Bank companies for the period 2017–2023. A census technique is applied, and the data is analyzed using panel data analysis to assess the relationship between corporate governance and stock prices. The findings reveal that good corporate governance has a significant effect on stock prices when considered collectively. However, when the corporate governance variable is examined individually, it does not show a significant impact on stock prices. These results suggest that while good corporate governance contributes to stock price performance in a combined context, its isolated effect is not as pronounced. The findings highlight the importance of comprehensive governance practices in influencing financial outcomes, particularly in the face of economic challenges.

Abstract

The digital transformation of traditional culinary businesses has become a critical pathway for achieving sustainable growth and competitiveness in the digital age. This study explores how these businesses transition to online platforms, the challenges they face, and the benefits they achieve. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative interviews with traditional culinary business owners and quantitative analysis of business performance data before and after digital adoption. The study also examined case studies of businesses successfully utilizing digital tools such as food delivery platforms, social media marketing, and AI-based analytics. Findings reveal that businesses adopting digital tools experience significant growth in revenue (up to 40%) from 2019-2024, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced customer engagement. However, challenges such as a lack of digital literacy and initial investment costs remain substantial barriers. Successful case studies demonstrate that leveraging partnerships with delivery platforms and effective social media marketing are key strategies for success. Digital transformation provides opportunities to widen market reach, preserve culinary heritage, and enhance customer experiences. To overcome barriers, governments and private organizations can play a role by offering training programs and financial support. The integration of advanced technologies like AI and data analytics also shows promise in driving efficiency and personalization. The digital transformation of traditional culinary businesses is not merely a trend but a necessity for long-term success. Despite challenges, the benefits of increased visibility, operational improvements, and customer satisfaction outweigh the costs, making digital adoption a viable strategy for traditional culinary enterprises.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the key factors influencing the intention to use fintech peer-to-peer (P2P) lending services in Bandung City, addressing a significant area of financial technology adoption in emerging markets. This research uses a quantitative accidental sampling method, namely a non-probability sampling technique to survey 428 residents of Bandung City who use P2P lending services. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression to evaluate the impact of various independent variables on usage intention. The analysis revealed that Personalization, Accessibility, and Enhanced Effectiveness have a positive and statistically significant influence on the intention to use P2P lending. Conversely, Loan Approval Speed demonstrated a negative and statistically significant effect. Social Factors, however, were found to have no significant impact on usage intention. These findings contribute to the literature on fintech adoption, highlighting the importance of service personalization and accessibility while identifying areas for improvement, such as streamlining loan approval processes. The insights provided can inform strategies for both service providers and policymakers in fostering responsible P2P lending adoption in Bandung City. This research underscores critical determinants of P2P lending usage intentions and provides actionable insights for enhancing the effectiveness and appeal of financial technology services in Bandung City.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing management research by enabling more efficient data analysis, decision-making, and operational workflows. However, its application also raises questions about its transformative role and implications for academic writing in this field. A systematic review of literature published over the past decade was conducted to evaluate the applications, benefits, and challenges of AI in management research. Emphasis was placed on identifying key tools and technologies, along with their impacts on research quality and efficiency. Findings reveal that AI significantly enhances research by automating data handling, improving predictive accuracy, reducing biases, and streamlining academic writing processes. Despite these advancements, challenges such as ethical concerns and the need for human oversight persist. This study highlights the importance of balancing AI implementation with human judgment to ensure ethical practices and effective utilization. It addresses gaps in existing research and emphasizes AI's transformative potential in management studies. AI plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of management research, but its integration requires careful consideration to maximize its benefits while mitigating potential drawbacks.

Abstract

The service industry is a critical driver of the global economy, contributing significantly to job creation and quality of life improvement. To remain competitive in an increasingly challenging market, service companies must adopt effective strategies to meet customer expectations. SWOT analysis is a strategic tool that helps businesses identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, making it a valuable approach in this context. This study focuses on applying SWOT analysis to business management in ijarah contracts, a leasing arrangement aligned with sharia principles. The research utilized a qualitative approach, engaging 20 business practitioners in the service industry located in West Java, Indonesia. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews and a comprehensive literature review on ijarah contracts and their application within the service sector. The findings highlight the strengths of ijarah contracts, particularly their compliance with sharia principles and substantial market potential. However, notable weaknesses include limited public understanding of ijarah contracts and the burden of high operational costs. Opportunities such as digitalization and the expanding sharia economy offer significant growth prospects, while threats from conventional financial systems and global economic instability present challenges that require strategic management. The study underscores the importance of addressing operational inefficiencies and enhancing market awareness of ijarah contracts. Furthermore, leveraging digital technology and capitalizing on the growth of the sharia economy can strengthen the position of ijarah-based businesses.

Abstract

Nasi Kuning Mak’Im is a culinary business founded in Malaysia in 2016, specializing in Indonesian cuisine using high-quality ingredients at affordable prices. However, increasing competition from similar businesses poses a challenge to sustaining and growing the enterprise. Developing an effective marketing strategy is crucial to addressing these challenges and ensuring business growth. This study aims to evaluate the marketing strategies of Nasi Kuning Mak’Im using SWOT analysis to enhance sales performance. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach conducted at the Nasi Kuning Mak’Im SME in Selangor, Malaysia. Data were collected through direct interviews with key stakeholders, field observations, and literature review. Key informants included the business owner and loyal customers, providing insights into both operational and customer perspectives. The findings from the SWOT analysis and the internal-external matrix indicate that the most appropriate strategy for Nasi Kuning Mak’Im is the Strengths-Opportunities (S-O) strategy. This approach leverages the business's strengths, such as product quality and affordability, to capitalize on market opportunities and build competitiveness while fostering customer loyalty. The application of the S-O strategy demonstrates that by aligning internal strengths with external opportunities, Nasi Kuning Mak’Im can enhance its market position and maintain sustainable operations amid a competitive landscape. Recommendations for further implementation of the strategy are provided to support long-term growth and customer retention.
