Abstract

Bauxite waste in the form of red mud is known as waste could pollute water and soil in theenvironment around the mining area and endanger public health if not given advance prevention. Bythe increasing amount of waste and the growing amount of bauxite production, this problem becomeimportant issue for the mining sector, the government and the surrounding public directly affected.Utilization on a large scale and environmentally friendly are the points in this bauxite waste solution. The Babalesi landfill for road construction is a consideration in utilizing bauxite waste by usingprobiotic bacteria as a modifier. The feasibility and potential testing of Babalesi soil is carried out byphysical and mechanical tests of the soil based on ASTM Standards. These tests produce parametersthat refer to the AASHTO and USCS Classifications to determine the requirements for embankment2soil. For the physical test in the initial test of the red mud condition, the parameters indicated the A-7-6 classification, namely clay with poor quality. Furthermore, the physical test on Babalesi soilshowed A-4 classification, namely silt soil with medium quality. Meanwhile, the mechanical test forboth conditions, namely the original red mud condition and the Babalesi soil condition, could not becarried out because even in dry conditions, Babalesi soil proved to be very hard, but if it was inwatery conditions as a procedure in the mechanical test, it could not be formed and the mechanicalparameters could not be measured. The results of the physical test concluded that Babalesi landfillmeet the requirements and could be recommended as a road construction embankment. Themanufacture of Babalesi soil could be carried out directly in the waste pond by layered way usingheavy equipment as a stirrer of bacterial solution and bauxite waste.

Abstract

Project management is an important factor in the implementation of a project, which will affect the cost, timeand quality. Problems that result in interrelated planning, scheduling, control and are the main requirements forevery project success, in these problems there will be many influencing factors, to achieve maximum results in abuilding construction project, a mechanism is needed that can increase the efficiency and effectiveness ofproject management. of available resources. This can be realized through a management planning system thatmeets the criteria for cost (budget), time (quality), human resources (labor), and a field work safety system. The method used in this management plan is to compare the analysis of the labor unit using the SNI method andthe BOW method, and to obtain a budget plan for both methods. In time management, namely counting thenumber of jobs in each item, making the Critical Path Method (CPM), making bar charts, and making S curves, aspects of human resource management are calculating the number of workers on each work item, Occupationalsafety and health management is knowing the hazards and work control health, knowing personal protectiveequipment and knowing work protective equipment.Based on the SNI method, the Cost Budget Plan (RAB) is Rp. 6,300,380,000.00 and based on the BOW methodof the Budget Plan, the amount of Rp. 9,745,770,000.00, with a Plan time of 120 days or 17 weeks.

Abstract

ed mud (RM) is waste from a series of bauxite mining processes, with the amount of RM producedaround 1.2 – 1.4 tons for every 1 tonne of alumina produced. RM has chemical properties that are quitedangerous because in addition to containing a lot of non-degradable metals, it also contains a strong base witha pH of around 13-14. If released in its original condition, RM is very dangerous because it could cause waterand soil pollution in the mining environment and could cause disease in humans. All the time, the handling ofRM is by making tailing dam or piling up the subsoil of the highway in the area around the mine which costs alot of money to restore the pH close to neutral before use because the requirement to be released into theenvironment around the allowable pH value is a minimum of 9. Therefore, in this study, the author uses asolution, namely by utilizing the biological activity of probiotic bacteria microorganisms, it could live in analkaline environment and are safe for humans and environmentally friendly. By mixing RM with activatedprobiotic bacteria which will be carried out direct observation of the sample and measuring the pH value. Witha total sample of 27 samples based on variations in the number of active probiotic bacteria mixed and theincubation time of bacteria, the results showed that the more active probiotic bacteria were mixed into the RMand the longer the incubation time of the bacteria, the pH indicator showed close to neutral, namely 8-9. It isalso supported by direct observations based on shape, color, smell and touch, showing that the harmfulchemical properties of RM are decreasing.

Abstract

The increasing population growth, especially in West Kalimantan, is still making efforts to equalize developmentto meet housing needs by seeking land availability by building infrastructure in the form of vertical buildings, namely flats. The construction of flats supports the needs of athletes or sports participants that function astemporary residences in order to maintain the athletes' concentration, mental and physical well-being. In thebuilding there is a structure of beams, columns, foundations, floor plates and roofs. In designing the structure, itis planned to be strong enough to withstand the forces that may occur according to the load calculation, both inthe form of vertical and horizontal forces, in designing the reinforced concrete structure of an athlete's flat whichconsists of 6 floors using a roof and concrete quality (fc'). 35 MPa and steel quality (fy) 420 MPa which iscalculated based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), namely SNI 03-2847-2013 because the use of SNI03-2847-2013 can meet the calculations carried out in this study and SNI 1726-2019, as well as using theSAP2000 application for force calculations - style inside. So that the plan drawing can be made according to thecalculation results obtained. From the calculation results obtained reinforcement for the floor slab structure witha thickness of 140 mm using field reinforcement and support reinforcement D10-175. The beams used are 400mm × 600 mm, 350 mm × 600 mm and 300 × 400 mm, with D19 main reinforcement and 10 mm beugelreinforcement. The column used is 500 mm × 500 mm with reinforcement using longitudinal reinforcementmeasuring D25 and 10 mm begel reinforcement. The foundation used is a pile foundation, with a pile size of 300mm × 300 mm and a pile cap of 2100 mm × 1350 mm × 750 mm with principal reinforcement D22-150 and D12-150.

Abstract

Senior High School (abbreviated SMA) is a secondary level of formal education in Indonesia after graduating from Junior High School (or its equivalent). High school is taken within 3 years, starting from grade 10 to grade 12. The school that will be studied by the author has several problems that occur, therefore the author is interested in conducting research on facilities and infrastructure in the school. Therefore, the author submitted a questionnaire in order to find out what problems occurred in the school. The purpose of this study is that students are able to analyze the facilities and infrastructure of the Pontianak Mujahidin High School, able to overcome the problems that occur in the environment. The methods used in solving this problem are qualitative methods and quantitative methods. The qualitative method is subjective in nature, the research interacts directly with the object being studied. Meanwhile, quantitative methods are objective, independent research is what is being studied. Facilities and infrastructure problems that occur include the parking area which is enlarged by 33% from the initial area and the elevation of the parking area. The second is the widening of the dimensions of the enlarged drainage channel in order to prevent flooding. Finally, by increasing the dimensions of the classroom lighting so that the classroom lighting is sufficient.
