Abstract

This research aims to determine the map of research development and systematically explore articles about sharia compliance using bibliographic studies and Systematic Literature Reviews (SLR). Research data was obtained through the Scopus database. The study was conducted over a 10-year period from 2013 to 2023, looking for keys to sharia compliance by searching publications and discarding applications on the Scopus website. A total of 93 research papers were obtained. The data obtained was analyzed via PRISMA to obtain accurate data. SSS implementation steps occur in three phases: identification, validation, and feasibility. The SSS process selected 63 articles from 29 identified articles, and the selected articles were analyzed further. Based on the mapping visualization results using VOSviewer, the sharia compliance study was divided into 21 clusters based on keywords and 10 clusters based on the author's words. Thanks to the Publish or Perish application, the highest score was achieved in 2022 with the number of publications reaching 20 journal articles. Rating agencies and professional journals now publish academic publications on sharia compliance. The institution that publishes many related journals is the Journal of Islamic Marketing. In addition, Mr. Rabbani and Mr. Mustafa Raza are the most productive research authors in the field of Sharia compliance from 2013 to 2023.

Abstract

This study focuses on the study of Muhammad Syahrur's hermeneutics in reading polygamy verses. The background of this study departs from the debate that emerged regarding the interpretation of polygamy verses in the Qur'an, where Syahrur offers a different approach from classical commentators. This study aims to analyze Syahrur's hermeneutic method and explore its implications for understanding the law of polygamy. The method used is qualitative research with a text analysis approach, where Syahrur's works are used as the main source. According to Syahrur, the practice of polygamy can be carried out if there are two limitations: quantitative limitations and qualitative limitations. Polygamy means marrying a single woman without having to be a widow or virgin, according to the understanding of qualitative and quantitative boundary theory. Marrying two or three women means that the widow must have an orphan; The highest limit is four women, and widows must have orphans.

Abstract

Indonesian politics that Generation Z learns on social media becomes practical politics that are easily shaped with the preferences of politicians' characters on social media. Politicians who are supported by religiously affiliated parties are still very influential. Religious issues are a magnetic force that can be a medium for gaining votes. This study is to analyze the understanding and meaning of practical politics about Islam by Generation Z in politics in Indonesia based on Islamic religious issues. Using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach and conducting open interviews with 50 respondents aged 18-21 years to obtain research results that can be analyzed descriptively. Issues about religion, especially about Islam, will always influence the world of Indonesian politics. The lack of literacy about politics and Indonesian political history learned by Generation Z makes it easier for politicians to carry out social framing wrapped in Islamic-affiliated parties to facilitate vote-gaining.

Abstract

The development of relations between the West and the Islamic world in recent decades has increased the interest of Western scholars in the study of Islam in general, especially the interest in a single subject, the Hadith. Some renowned western scholars in the past took considerable interest in hadith studies with the critical method approach in assessing the authenticity of hadith such as Ignaz Goldziher, Joseph Schacht, and G.H.A Juynboll. More recently, contemporary hadith studies are more famous for the interdisciplinary approach that combines various disciplines to determine the authenticity and falsity of hadith, such as those of Harald Motzki and Jonathan A.C. Brown. This study aims to analyze the development of hadith studies in the western world by conducting a comparative time study approach between the past and the present. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and literature studies as additional references. Data collection is used library research from leading journal articles, books, and information from the internet as secondary sources. The results of this study show that the development of hadith in the West between past (19th Century) and present (21st Century) has significantly transformed from a critical approach that is skeptical of the authority of Islamic traditions in the past by Ignaz Goldziher and Joseph Schacht, to a more inclusive interdisciplinary approach with the History Critical Method towards biblical studies. Furthermore, the results show that the development of hadith studies by Western scholars between past and present is intended to enhance our understanding of the history, methodology, content and relevance of hadith with variations of change over time.

Abstract

This study is to examine the idea of bolstering Sahal Mahfudz's microeconomy in the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) sector, which provides context for Indonesia's poverty alleviation initiatives. This study employs a qualitative, explanatory research methodology, namely library research. The book Nuances of Social Fiqh and all of Sahal Mahfudz's publications—books, journals, papers, and so forth—were the main sources of data for this study. On the other hand, secondary sources are other scientific publications that are relevant to this study. As a result of this study, Sahal Mahfudz applies his theories to microeconomic issues in order to strengthen the microeconomy. The development of creativity and economic independence are the main goals. The next step is to give the community capital and training. Developing imaginative students, in order for them to grow as individuals. Not relying on ideological frameworks to produce autonomous, imaginative people and transforming the community's perspective on the paradigm shift from formalistic fiqh to socially nuanced fiqh.

Abstract

Muhammad ‘Ali As-Sabuni provides the principles of wasatiyyah represented in the terms of peace which are reformulated through his interpretation. This formulation certainly has a new character in the concept of wasatiyyah initiated by Muhammad ‘Ali As-Sabuni. To deepen the concept, the researcher departed from two problem formulations. based on this search, this research answers two important problems; a) how is the construction of Muhammad ‘Ali As-Sabuni's interpretation of the meaning of wasat, b) what is the conceptual offer of Muhammad ‘Ali As-Sabuni's interpretation of the discourse of religious moderation in the context of peace. The method used in this research is descriptive-analysis with the type of library research (library research). While the type of data analysis method uses critical analysis. The results/findings of this research show three principles of the meaning of wasat, namely: wasatiyyah as a bridge of religious moderation, wasatiyyah in social interaction, and wasatiyyah in interfaith relations. based on the results of the thinking initiated by Muhammad ‘Ali As-Sabuni, it builds an interpretative construction that gives birth to a moderate-humanist discourse in creating religious harmony. This finding certainly opens the discourse of moderation to modern society as well as answering that the meaning of wasat is not only limited to narrow textual assumptions but provides a color of peace built on inter-religious harmony.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the urgency and strategies for building a moderate and inclusive religious culture in schools. Using a literature research method, the data collection technique involves identifying, collecting, classifying, and validating relevant literature, while the data analysis technique includes content analysis, source criticism, synthesis of findings, and drawing conclusions to understand the urgency of building a moderate and inclusive religious culture in school. This study identifies the challenges of radicalism and intolerance as the main reasons for the importance of this initiative. The results show that building a moderate and inclusive religious culture in schools is highly urgent in addressing these challenges. Schools that have successfully implemented such programs have shown improvements in interfaith harmony, appreciation of diversity, and the development of more tolerant student characters. The recommendations include enhancing teacher training, developing a more inclusive curriculum, and strengthening collaboration between schools, parents, and the community. This study is expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and education practitioners in developing educational programs that support moderation and inclusiveness in the school environment. In conclusion, building a moderate and inclusive religious culture in schools not only helps prevent radicalism and intolerance but also promotes a more harmonious educational environment and supports the growth of more open and tolerant student characters.
