Abstract

This research aims to find out how the character of caring for the environment can be integrated into the Adiwiyata school program at SDN Cipondoh 5. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method, a case study type. Data collection uses observation; interviews with informant sources, the school principal, 2 teachers, 2 people in charge of the Adiwiyata program, and 5 students; and documentation studies. The data validity techniques used by researchers are technical triangulation and source triangulation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the research results, it shows that the Adiwiyata school program can grow and improve the environmentally caring character of students at SDN Cipondoh 5 as they get used to it at school. Integration is carried out through the curriculum, development of environment-based learning tools, activities to bring your own food and drinking bottles, training to make biopore holes, clean Friday activities. The integration carried out by the school also collaborates with the school community, student parents, health centers and other related agencies. The obstacles faced are related to the lack of coordination between teachers and inadequate land in optimizing the adiwiata program. The implications are for schools in overcoming obstacles through integrating the Adiwiyata program in collaboration with environmental agencies so that they can regain the national level Adiwiyata school certificate award

Abstract

The development of the 2013 curriculum into an independent curriculum is the right way to respond to globalization. Science is one of the main subjects at the elementary level, but in its implementation it can be done separately, namely science and social studies. In reality, science subjects are less desirable, students are not interested and consider science subjects difficult to learn. Thus, at least teachers offer alternative ways to improve students' abilities by emphasizing lessons related to everyday life or culture, namely with ethnoscience, which aims to attract students' interest in learning. This study aims to analyze the use of ethnoscience-based science modules to improve science literacy in elementary school students.  The method used is in the form of literature review. By looking for references to at least six articles in journals that are analyzed in inclusion and exclusion so that they are referenced in accordance with the goals to be achieved, especially with the help of Harzing's Publish or Perrish application and VOSViewer based on Google schoolar. From the results of the data collection, 200 articles were filtered and re-selected to produce 4 articles which were the results of selection according to more in-depth inclusion and exclusion criteria including titles, abstracts and discussion content. Based on the results of the analysis, no research results were found related to the use of ethnoscience-based science modules that can improve science literacy in elementary school students, and the lack of discussion words on VOSViewer that appeared and was less related to the research discussion. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the IPA module is less of a trend in 2018-2023. Meanwhile, in terms of the feasibility of ethnoscience-based science modules, there is nothing to prove that the mod is feasible for elementary school students, because there is no suitability of scientific articles found, so further research is still needed regarding validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Thus, based on the results of this study, it can be a good opportunity for new researchers to conduct research on the topic to be a reference for researchers and teachers.

Abstract

This study is based on the urgency in understanding of the text presented. The aim of this research is to produce a collaborative interactive read aloud learning model as an effort to create understanding of the text. The model applied includes: 1) Designing; 2) Forming; 3) Facilitating; 4) Evaluating. This research was carried out by adapting McKenny & Reeves through the stages of EDR development research procedures which include: 1) Problem Identification; 2)Design and Construction; 3) Evaluation and Reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and observation. The research subjects involved teachers and students at SDN Karangsambung, Tasikmalaya City. The conclusions of this research indicate that the collaborative interactive read aloud model can be implemented in reading learning to support elementary school students' reading comprehension

Abstract

One dimension of the Pancasila student profile that must be instilled in students is global diversity. This dimension emphasizes character development through preserving cultural identity, appreciating diversity, and avoiding cultural isolation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements of the global diversity dimension through extracurricular karawitan at SD N 8 Wirosari. This research used case study-based qualitative methodology. The research subjects were the principal, karawitan extracurricular teacher and 18 students who participated in karawitan extracurricular activities. Data collection methods include documentation, observation, and interviews. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model method and data validation using triangulation which includes data reduction, data exposure, conclusion drawing, and verification. The research findings show that extracurricular karawitan encourages the development of four dimensional elements of global diversity, namely recognizing and respecting culture, intercultural communication and interaction, reflection and responsibility regarding the experience of diversity, and social justice. This research is expected that students can improve and implement the character of global diversity in everyday life.

Abstract

The purpose of the research was to increase students' critical thinking skills in mathematics by applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model. The type of research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of classroom action research were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 34 Lubuklinggau totaling 19 students consisting of 10 female students and 9 male students. Data collection techniques using observation and tests. The result from this reasearch showed that by applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model can increase the ability of critical thinking mathematics students in fourth grade SD Negeri 34 Lubuklinggau. It can be seen from the increasing students' critical thinking skills in mathematics from the pre-cycle condition of 54%, cycle I of applying the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model for critical thinking skills of 69%, based on deficiencies in cycle I then followed up in cycle II, the results of critical thinking skills at this stage increased to 80.5%. It is concluded that the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model can increase students' mathematical critical thinking skills in fourth grade SD Negeri 34 Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

Numeracy has an important role in helping students to be able to solve problems that can be encountered in the surrounding environment. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) aimed at improving students' numeracy skills through the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model in mathematics subjects. This research method is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in 2 cycles consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subject of this research was class V at SDN 34 Lubuklinggau with a total of 19 students. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and tests. Data analysis techniques use average score or percentage techniques. The results of this research show that the application of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model can improve the mathematical numeracy skills of class V students at SDN 34 Lubuklinggau. The average percentage of students' numeracy abilities in the pre-cycle was 21.1% in the first cycle to 47.4%, then in the second cycle it increased to 68.42%. This research concludes that the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model can improve the mathematical numeracy skills of class V students at SDN 34 Lubuklinggau in mathematics lessons.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the problem based learning model can improve abilitiesproblem solving elementary school student mathematics. The research was carried out at SD Negeri 38 Lubuklinggau. This type of research is classroom action research. Data collection techniques are carried out using tests, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive. This research consists of 2 cycles with research procedures using the Kemmis & McTaggart model which includes planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. The research results show that there has been an increase in abilityproblem solving fourth grade student at SD Negeri 38 Lubuklinggau. This can be seen from the increase in abilityproblem solving Students' mathematics from the pre-cycle condition was 49.8% and increased in cycle 1 with an average score of 65%. Then in cycle 2, a significant increase was obtained with the average ability value obtainedproblem solving student mathematics is 76.8. From the research results, it was concluded that the modelproblem based learning can improve abilitiesproblem solving mathematics for fourth grade students at SD Negeri 38 Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

This study was interrupted with the problem of students having difficulty in understanding the concept of flat buildings, because in the teaching learning process, teachers only explain directly from examples of issues and how to solve them without guiding or directing students to understand the concept in advance, without the presence of relevant media to discern the concept. The purpose of the research was to find out the influence of PALINGBADA media on the understanding of the concept of two-dimensional circumference in Grade III of Elementary School and to know that there are differences in the influences of PALINGBADA and conventional media on understanding the concepts of two-dimensional circumference at Grade III of Elementary School. The research uses experimental methodologies, the type of research used is quasi-experimental with a design of non-equivalent groups. In particular, the research instrument is a test consisting of multiple-choice questions. Data analysis that are used, including independent sample t-tests, n-gain tests, homogeneity testing, and normality procedures. The results of the research showed that there was a media influence of PALINGBADA on the understanding of the concept of two-dimensional in class III and there was an influence difference between the media and conventional media on understanding of two-dimensional concepts in the class III of the Elementary School.

Abstract

Low student interest in learning is a cause that comes from teachers paying less attention to learning facilities for students at school, often we find that the learning that teachers provide to students is still very simple, this can affect student interest in carrying out learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, supporting factors and inhibiting factors of the application of pop up book media in learning IPAS material Let's Get Acquainted with Our Earth in grade V students of SDN 2 Kalirejo.  The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach design. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research place was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Kalirejo. The research time started from August 2023 to November 2023. Data validity uses triangulation of sources and techniques. Data analysis techniques use data analysis steps according to Miles and Huberman which consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The results of this study indicate that by using Pop Up Book learning media on the learning IPAS, students look enthusiastic in participating in learning, students are more focused and active to answer the material presented, students feel happy with learning using pop up book media, the application of pop up book media has succeeded in motivating students, the material conveyed is easily understood by students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students, where more than half of the students get lower learning outcomes than the Minimum Learning Completeness (KBM) that has been set. Low learning outcomes are caused by a monotonous learning process, lack of innovation in learning media and models, and teacher-centered learning. To get more optimal learning outcomes, a cooperative learning model of Student Team Achievement Division type is used which is group-based, student-centered and trains students' critical thinking.  This study aims to describe the use of cooperative learning model type Student Team Achievement Division in improving the learning outcomes of fifth grade students. This research is a class action research consisting of two cycles. Cycle I consisted of 2 meetings and cycle II consisted of 1 meeting.  The data obtained were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative analysis. In the lesson plan assessment, there was an increase from 82.95% in cycle I to 93.18% in cycle II. In teacher activities and learner activities in cycle I, the results were 82.82% and 81.25% respectively and became 93.75% and 93.75% in cycle II. In cycle I, students' learning outcomes in integrated thematic learning obtained a score of 72.82 and became 83.22 in cycle II.
