Abstract

Students have problems related to their level of self-confidence and ability to adapt. Group guidance is an effort to help new students increase their new self-confidence in adapting. Therefore, SMP N egeri 2 South Lampung is making efforts to help new students through group guidance. The aim of this research is to reveal the guidance group in increasing students' self-confidence in adjusting to class VII students at SMP Negeri 2 Lampung. This type of research is field research (field research) which is descriptive qualitative in nature. The data sources in this research were 9 people, consisting of 7 class VII students, 1 guidance counselor and 1 homeroom teacher. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this research show that the implementation of group guidance in increasing students' self-confidence in adjusting to class VII students has been implemented through four stages, namely: Formation stage, namely the formation of a group of 7 people, introduction of group members, as well as explanation of the aims and objectives of the activity. The transition stage, namely the stage filled with ice-making activities in the form of guessing to lighten the atmosphere. The activity stage, namely the core stage of group guidance here uses group discussion techniques with lecture and question and answer methods. The closing stage, namely the closing of activities which includes evaluation activities, closing messages and expectations, and follow-up (follow-up). The conclusion of this research is that the implementation of guidance groups to increase students' self-confidence in adjusting to class VII students has been successful and has had a positive effect

Abstract

Discipline is a significant cultural value to be instilled and developed in every student's life at school. This article examines the effect of group tutoring services on the time discipline of students in grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The instrument used is the scale of student discipline. Data analysis using score and percentage of N-Gain. The results showed that there was an influence of group guidance services on the time discipline of grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat was in the medium category with an average N-Gain value of 0.47, and the N-Gain percent of 47.40% meant that the group guidance services provided were less effective in improving student learning discipline. Some limitations and implications of the results of this study are discussed.Kedisiplinan merupakan nilai budaya yang penting untuk ditanamkan dan dikembangkan dalam setiap kehidupan peserta didik di sekolah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok terhadap kedisiplinan waktu peserta didik di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimental. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kedisiplinan peserta didik. Analisis data menggunakan Skor dan Persen N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok terhadap kedisiplinan waktu peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Mendo Barat berada pada kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0.47, dan persen N-Gain sebesar 47.40% bermakna bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok yang diberikan kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan belajar peserta didik. Beberapa keterbatasan dan implikasi hasil penelitian ini dibahas.

Abstract

Peserta didik yang kehilangan orang tua karena kematian dapat mengalami perasaan berduka (grief) yang kemudian dapat mempengaruhi seluruh kehidupannya termasuk dalam proses pembelajaran, beberapa ada yang mengalami penurunan motivasi belajar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi belajar pada peserta didik MTsN 1 Sabang pasca kematian orang tuanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan total sampling sebanyak 30 peserta didik yang mempunyai kriteria yatim, piatu dan yatim piatu. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan angket motivasi belajar disusun berdasarkan 5 aspek yang dikembangkan oleh Sardiman. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil distribusi frekuensi menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari setengahnya (67%) peserta didik berada dalam kategori rendah yang menunjukkan bahwa kematian orang tua mempengaruhi minat dan motivasi belajar mereka. Sebagian kecil (16%) peserta didik memiliki tingkat motivasi belajar yang tinggi, yang menunjukkan bahwa kematian orang tua sama sekali tidak menurunkan motivasi belajar mereka dan sebagian kecil (13%) peserta didik berada di kategori sedang. Motivasi belajar yang rendah pada peserta didik dapat diartikan bahwa kehilangan sosok orang tua dapat memberikan dampak fisik, kognitif, emosional yang berat yang dipengaruhi oleh kedekatan peserta didik dengan orang tua yang meninggal, sehingga berpengaruh pada penurunan motivasi belajar juga.

Abstract

Sexual harassment is a form of sexual coercion in which a person makes another person the target of unwanted comments, solicitations, gestures, physical contact, or direct requests from the other party, in order to obtain a sexual advantage. Sexual harassment can occur in many settings, including the workplace, school, or consulting a therapist. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of Banda Aceh junior high school students about self-protection from sexual harassment and also to obtain an overview of the availability of knowledge sources regarding self-protection from sexual harassment in junior high school adolescents in Banda Aceh. This study uses a survey method with a descriptive quantitative approach. The results showed that the percentage calculation obtained an average high category from these results, which was 84%. This shows that public junior high school students in Banda Aceh already know about self-protection from sexual harassment, although there are still 16% of public junior high school students in Banda Aceh who do not know about self-protection from sexual harassment. The calculation of the average percentage of the high category regarding the availability of sources from parents as a result of research is 85%. This shows that parents of junior high school students in Banda Aceh have provided knowledge to their children about self-protection from sexual harassment, as well as the calculation of the average percentage of the medium category regarding the availability of resources from teachers, the results of the study are 62%. This shows that junior high school teachers in Banda Aceh have provided knowledge to their students about self-protection from sexual harassment, while sources from friends indicate a low average percentage calculation from the results of the study, which is 27%. This shows that it is relatively low for junior high school students in Banda Aceh to have friends who have discussed knowledge about self-protection from sexual harassment

Abstract

Need for Dominance merupakan suatu kebutuhan manusia pada kategori sikap sosial, need for dominance salah satu kebutuhan manusia untuk bisa memenuhi fungsi-fungsi kepemimpinan pada suatu organisasi. Fungsi kepemimpinan seseorang akan lebih efektif apabila seseorang memiliki need for dominance diatas rata-rata. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran dan hubungan antara need for dominance dengan fungsi kepemimpinan pada mahasiswa aktif berorganisasi Universitas Syiah Kuala. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaf dengan teknik deskriptif korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh pengurus harian organisasi kemahasiswaan dengan jumlah 29 organisasi dan populasi yang ditujukan kepada 87 mahasiswa yaitu ketua, wakil ketua dan sekretaris. Teknikpengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dua skala yaitu need for dominance dan fungsi kepemimpinan dengan jenis skala likert yang disebarkan secara online kepada mahasiswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa need for dominance pada mahasiswa aktif berorganisasi 71%(62 mahasiswa) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, 26%(23 mahasiswa) berada pada kategori tinggi dan 2%(2 mahasiswa) pada kategori sedang, dan hasil pada fungsi kepemimpinan mahasiswa aktif berorganisasi menunjukkan 90%(78 mahasiswa) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dan 10%(9 mahasiswa) berada pada kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Rank Speaerman menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,969 yang artinya adanya korelasi yang positif dan signifikan ini termasuk kedalam kategori sempurna antara need for dominance dengan fungsi kepemipinan pada mahasiswa aktif berorganisasi Universitas Syiah Kuala.
