Abstract

This study aims to analyze the condition of community empowerment, the inhibiting factors, and the empowerment strategies in the development of Alamendah Tourism Village in Bandung Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that community empowerment is still in a transitional stage. Although several positive dynamics have emerged, such as the initial establishment of relationships between managers and the community, community involvement in several activities, and efforts in documentation and promotion, the empowerment process has not yet been fully participatory and remains limited to a core group. The study also identifies several inhibiting factors, including weak social networks among local actors, non-participatory and unsustainable mapping of local potential, the absence of an inclusive shared vision, elite-dominated decision-making processes, limitations in collectively designing and implementing activities, and inadequate documentation and evaluation practices. The strategic analysis shows that community empowerment in tourism village development is positioned in Quadrant I (Strength–Opportunities), which requires the implementation of an aggressive–progressive strategy by optimizing the internal strengths of the community to capitalize on external opportunities in a sustainable manner. This strategy includes strengthening collective capacity, expanding collaborative networks, utilizing policy and technological support, and reinforcing local institutions to promote sustainable empowerment and enhance the competitiveness of the tourism village.

Abstract

The tension between religious norms and constitutional supremacy is a persistent issue in state administration practices in Muslim-majority countries. These two sources of legitimacy often coexist in the legal system, creating a space for interaction that is not always harmonious. This situation is influenced by social, political, and institutional factors that shape the ongoing direction of legal regulation. This study aims to analyze the configuration of the relationship between religious norms and constitutional supremacy and its implications for state governance and public life. This research uses a qualitative approach utilizing secondary data obtained from various relevant sources, including previous studies and legal documents. The results show that the relationship between religious norms and the constitution is formed through diverse patterns and is influenced by the role of state institutions and socio-political pressures. This interaction impacts the consistency of legal application, the protection of citizens' rights, and the balance between diversity and unity of law. The state's ability to manage this relationship proportionally is a crucial factor in maintaining social stability and government legitimacy.

Abstract

This study examines the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in archival science, with a particular focus on enhancing records preservation, retrieval accuracy, and knowledge accessibility in the digital era. The increasing volume and complexity of digital records have posed significant challenges for traditional archival practices, necessitating the integration of advanced technological solutions. In response, AI has emerged as a promising approach to automate archival processes and improve the efficiency of information management systems. This study adopts a literature review methodology by systematically analyzing relevant scholarly publications to synthesize current knowledge on AI applications in archival contexts. The review draws upon peer-reviewed articles indexed in reputable databases to ensure the credibility and relevance of the findings. The results indicate that AI technologies, including machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, significantly contribute to improving digital preservation strategies and minimizing data degradation risks. AI-driven retrieval systems enhance the precision and speed of information access through intelligent indexing and semantic search capabilities. The study also finds that AI facilitates broader knowledge accessibility by enabling user-centered interfaces and adaptive information systems. Despite these advancements, several challenges persist, including ethical concerns, data bias, and the need for standardized implementation frameworks. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge by providing a comprehensive synthesis of AI applications in archival science and offering insights for future research and practical implementation.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged governments in various countries to accelerate the transformation of public governance systems through the implementation of digital-based public services. Digitalization has become an important instrument in improving administrative efficiency, strengthening transparency, and increasing the responsiveness of public services in modern governance. However, alongside these developments, the implementation of digital governance has also generated new administrative complexities, including fragmented service systems, overlapping digital procedures, and increasing coordination challenges among government institutions. This study aims to analyze the paradox of digitalization in public governance, particularly the relationship between technological efficiency and the emergence of administrative complexity in bureaucratic systems. This study employs a qualitative approach by utilizing literature studies and various relevant academic sources related to digital governance and public administration transformation. The findings indicate that digitalization has significantly contributed to accelerating public service processes, improving administrative efficiency, and strengthening government responsiveness toward societal needs. Nevertheless, the implementation of digital governance has simultaneously created new bureaucratic complexities through the expansion of digital procedures, institutional fragmentation, and increasing dependence on technological systems. Therefore, the success of digital governance depends not only on technological adoption but also on the government’s ability to simplify administrative structures, strengthen institutional integration, and develop adaptive governance systems that remain efficient and sustainable.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to communication patterns, information dissemination, and public involvement in democratic life. These changes have not only expanded public access to various information but also presented various new problems related to the increasing spread of inaccurate information, changes in people's political behavior, and the growing fragmentation of social views in the digital public sphere. These conditions pose increasingly complex challenges to the sustainability of constitutional democracy because they can affect the quality of public participation, the level of public trust in state institutions, and the stability of political life more broadly. This study aims to analyze the influence of developments in the digital environment on the sustainability of constitutional democracy, particularly those related to digital disinformation, political polarization, and the various challenges that arise in the post-truth era. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through the utilization of various literature sources relevant to the research focus. The results show that the development of the digital environment has changed people's information consumption patterns and influenced how people form views on various political and social issues. The spread of inaccurate information and increasing political polarization affect the quality of public participation, social relations, and the level of trust in state institutions, which can affect the stability of democratic life. Therefore, strengthening constitutional democracy needs to be done by improving the quality of public participation, strengthening the capacity of state institutions, developing adaptive policies, and increasing public literacy in facing changes in the digital information environment.
