Abstract

The airport is one of the large-scale construction projects that creates unique challenges related to K3 management, since 2019 it has continued construction and will continue development in May 2023. There is a positive influence between the workload variable on occupational safety and health with a value of 0.351, the work knowledge variable also has a positive effect on occupational safety and health with a value of 0.341, and the last variable work environment also has a positive effect on occupational safety and health with a value of 0.294. The workload variable has a positive effect on work productivity with a value of 0.408, the work knowledge variable has a positive effect on work productivity with a value of 0.252, the work environment variable has a positive effect on productivity with a value of 0.255 and the last variable work safety and health also has a positive effect on productivity with a value of 0.345. There is a positive influence between the workload variable on work productivity through safety and health with a value of 0.121, the work knowledge variable has a positive influence on work productivity through safety and health with a value of 0.117 and the work environment variable has a positive influence on work productivity through occupational safety and health with a value 0.101.

Abstract

Soil is the most important part to support a construction, one of which is clay soil which has a high moisture content so that the CBR of clay soil is low and causes a decrease in soil carrying capacity. This study aims to determine the effect of the addition of urea and fly ash fertilizers on the CBR value and permeability of clay soil. The percentages used in this study are Fly Ash 10% and Urea Fertilizer 10% and 20% plus variations in curing time, namely 7 and 14 days. According to AASHTO, soil is included in the A-7-5 category while according to USCS soil is included in the CH category. The maximum CBR value occurred at the addition of 10% Fly Ash + 20% Urea Fertilizer with 14 days of Curing with a CBR value of 23.89%.while the maximum Permeability Value occurred at the addition of 10% Fly Ash + 20% Urea Fertilizer with 14 days of Curing with a Coefficient value of 0.0151 cm/minute.

Abstract

Along with the development of technology and increasingly complex construction needs, the use of concrete is growing and becoming increasingly important in infrastructure development. One innovation to improve the quality of concrete is by adding additives or substitute materials to concrete. But concrete still has many weaknesses, especially in tensile and flexural strength, therefore the use of fibers such as nails or steel fibers in concrete is expected to be able to overcome these problems. In this study, a normal concrete compressive strength design of 25 MPa was used with the aim of the study to obtain the effect of nails on the tensile strength and flexural strength of concrete. In this study, the percentage of added nails was 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% of the weight of the concrete. This study shows that the use of nails in concrete causes an increase in tensile strength and flexural strength in nail variations of 2%, but the use of nails with variations of 4%, 6%, 8% and 10% decreases tensile and flexural strength. Increased tensile strength and flexural strength in nail variations of 2% with values of 3.06 Mpa and 5.67 Mpa. This shows that the greater the addition of nails, the tensile and flexural strength achieved decreases.

Abstract

This research ,highlight traffic jam problem that in the city of Makassar , especially pengayoman road Panakkukang .the traffic that because parking activity in the road which reduce effective traffic lanes, disrupting the smooth flow of traffic with rapid economic growth in Makassar increase traffic  movement is unavoidable which further worsen traffic jam condition the aim of this research is to analyze the impact of in the street parking on traffic performance to provide parking control solution in the area they used metode involves direct observation of three different points on the pengayoman road section with data collected including traffic volume ,parking and performance of the road section ,observation were Carrie out on Wednesday ,Saturday and Sunday to get more comprehensive picture the result of the research showed that the highest volume of traffic flow on the pengayoman road section reached 6864 the  Passengers car unit per hour (per hour) with degree of saturation (DS) of 0,77 the service level indeks shows category D ,which indicate an unstable level of service and category A for the highest level of service and these result can be concluded that parking activities on the road significantly reduce road capacity which has a negative impact on performance at the location.

Abstract

Concrete is a very popular construction material and is widely used throughout the world. This is because concrete has several advantages, such as high strength, weather resistance, and relatively low cost, but forces the rate of cement production to increase which can cause carbon emissions and air pollution. Therefore, using silica fume as an alternative material as a cement reduction material by adding additional materials to strengthen the concrete mixture such as naphthalene. In this study, a normal concrete compressive strength design of 25 MPa was used with the aim of the study to obtain the effect of Cement Reduction Using Silica fume with Naphthalene Additives on the Compressive Strength and Flexural Strength of Concrete. The mixing method is carried out by partially replacing cement with silica fume by 10% and adding naphthalene additives of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, and 1%, respectively, by conducting concrete compressive and flexural strength tests. This study shows that the addition of Silica Fume as a partial replacement of cement by 10% with the addition of Naphthalene increases the compressive strength of concrete, and for a variation of 1% it gets the largest compressive strength value of 26.82 Mpa, and also increases the flexural strength value of concrete, and for a variation of 1% it gets the largest compressive strength value of 5.33 Mpa.

Abstract

Wastewater Treatment Plant is a structure designed to remove biological and chemical waste from water so that the water is not harmful and can be reused in other activities. So the impact of the construction of the Losari Wastewater Treatment Plant for the surrounding community needs to be known and how effective the use of Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor technology is in processing liquid waste into clean water. This study uses a descriptive research type with a quantitative approach by collecting primary and secondary data taken directly in the field and related agencies. The methods in this study include conducting observations, interviews. However, in this study only two sub-districts were studied, namely Tamalate and Ujung Pandang Districts. So from the results of interviews with agencies and residents affected in the two sub-districts, it shows that the impact of the construction of wastewater treatment plants can reduce the risk of spreading disease and is also able to change household wastewater, bathroom waste, kitchen waste and waste from restaurants into clean water, namely for watering plants around the Losari IPAL area and is suitable for disposal in canals/channels. The results of wastewater processing using Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor technology show quite effective results, namely reducing pH between 6-9 = 7, BOD = from 20 to 4, TSS = from 18 to 12, Ammonia = from 0.53 to 0.24 ppm.

Abstract

Flooding is a natural disaster event that occurs when excessive water flow inundates the land. In Barru Regency, Kupa Village is a coastal area that includes an area prone to flooding. Flooding in Kupa Village greatly affects traffic where when flooding traffic on the Makassar - Pare-pare axis road is jammed even making cars or motorbikes can break down in the middle of a high puddle, therefore flooding in Kupa Village needs to be studied to find solutions to overcome it. This research was conducted in Kupa Village with the aim of analyzing the amount of rainfall and flood discharge for the return period of 25, 50 and 100 years and analyzing flood control methods. Furthermore, the plan flood discharge analysis was carried out using the HSS Nakayasu method, based on the calculation obtained the 25-year return period flood discharge (Q25) of 238,164/sec, 50-year return period (Q50) of 245,188 /sec, 100-year return period (Q100) of 251,770 /sec. From the analysis of runoff data in Kupa Village is 22.5110945/sec, where if there is a tide up to 1.7 m high along with rain that falls 1-3 hours or more resulting in flooding in the village of Kupa and the results of the analysis for the right building in overcoming flooding in Kupa Village is the installation of embankments around the Makassar - Pare-pare Axis road.

Abstract

Clay is a type of soil that has a low bearing capacity, so it needs to be stabilized to improve its quality as a road foundation. This research aims to analyze the effect of the addition of coral powder and lime on the value of California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and permeability of clay soil. The research was conducted in the laboratory using a mixture variation of 5% coral powder and lime with variations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. Tests were carried out on soil mechanical properties, especially CBR and permeability tests. The results showed that the addition of coral stone powder and lime increased the CBR value and decreased the permeability coefficient of clay soil. The highest CBR value was obtained in a mixture of 5% coral powder and 15% lime, with a significant increase compared to the original soil. The novelty of this research lies in the use of coral powder as a soil stabilization material combined with lime, which proved effective in increasing the strength of clay soil. The results of this study can be applied to road construction projects in areas with less stable clay soil characteristics. from this study it is concluded that the combination of coral powder and lime can increase soil bearing capacity and decrease permeability, making it suitable for use in soil stabilization in infrastructure projects.

Abstract

The Pompengan Watershed area is located in 2 administrative areas of regencies/cities, namely North Toraja Regency and Palopo Regency. The Pompengan Watershed is elongated with an area of 514.24 km2. The Pompengan Watershed has a main river, namely the Lamasi River with a length of approximately 40.5 km, a width of 40 m - 10 m. Lamasi River Irrigation Area In the Pompengan Watershed, Luwu Regency, a hydrological analysis of water availability was carried out using the F.J. Mock method The aim is to determine the Main Discharge and water availability to irrigate the Lamasi left irrigation area which is 3854 ha and Lamasi right with an area of 3839 ha. The calculation results show that the monthly Main Discharge value of the Lamasi River in the Pompengan Watershed, Luwu Regency, the largest average value is in the rainy season, namely March - July with a value of 54.503 m / second and the smallest in the dry season, namely August - February with a value of 0.017 m / second. The water discharge of Lamasi River in the Pompengan Watershed, Luwu Regency, which can be used for irrigation water availability using 80% reliability, where the results obtained with the largest value were in April - July, with an average value of 2,821 m/second3

Abstract

The aim of the research is to determine the differences in costs and completion times for road and bridge construction projects. The research method used in this study is quantitative research. The difference in normal project work implementation time is 510 working days, after accelerating the work using the time cost trade off method using 2 (two) alternatives, namely additional working hours (overtime) which takes 490 working days, while with the alternative additional labor requires 489 working days. The total cost used before acceleration was Rp. 108,899,888,900 after acceleration using additional working hours became Rp. 100,361,229,776 and saved costs of Rp. 8,538,659,123 and after acceleration with additional workers became Rp. 97,309,953,040 and saved costs of Rp. 11,589,935,859.
