Abstract

One of the intersections in the city of Palembang is the Three-way Intersection of Bukit Siguntang, which is a signal-free intersection. This intersection is located in an educational and residential area, connecting Srijaya Negara Street and Demang Lebar Daun Street. The road has a very high volume of vehicles, with traffic flows reaching 45,208 vehicles on Sundays or holidays, 82,124 vehicles on Mondays, and 80,379 vehicles on Wednesdays. Among these three days, Monday is the busiest day with a vehicle count of 84,364. The intersection's performance is evaluated by examining the capacity levels at each approach. The Three-way Intersection of Bukit Siguntang shows a degree of saturation (DS) above 0.85 on all approaches, indicating that the road capacity has reached a saturation level resulting in a service level of D for the intersection, with an average intersection delay of 34.27 seconds/vehicle. To enhance the intersection capacity, several alternatives can be implemented, including road geometric widening and changing the traffic flow policy from two-way single lane to one-way single lane. Simulation of the capacity improvement for the intersection with both alternatives indicates that road geometric widening results in a delay of 24.58 seconds/vehicle, falling within the service level C for the intersection. Meanwhile, changing the traffic flow policy from two-way single lane to one-way single lane results in a delay of 17.39 seconds/vehicle, also falling within the service level C for the intersection.

Abstract

The public greatly anticipates using plastic trash to increase the compressive strength of concrete blocks so they can change form and stop polluting the environment. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how adding PET plastic trash to concrete affects its compressive strengths. Experimental techniques were used in this investigation, including in-lab tests. Afterwards, testing processes in the lab were used to assess the research results. The compressive strength of normal concrete has a value of 25 MPa which reaches the design compressive strength value, while the concrete variation of 1% PET plastic is 23 MPa, 2% PET plastic is 21 MPa, and 3% PET plastic is 19 MPa which does not reach the compressive strength value. plan. This shows that PET plastic waste mixed with concrete results in a decrease in the compressive strength of concrete from normal concrete.

Abstract

Indonesia is expected to enter the Demographic Bonus era, a condition where the population of productive age is greater than that of non-productive age. This dominant generation of productive age can also be called the Millennial Generation. According to data held by BPS regarding the increase in Indonesia's population in 2015, the percentage of the working age population was around 70%. The Demographic Bonus has the potential to spur Indonesia's economic growth. However, this condition has requirements, namely the need to provide housing facilities that can accommodate the percentage of the working age population in the range of 70%. The Demographic Bonus has the potential to spur Indonesia's economic growth so that it is hoped that it can improve the welfare of the Indonesian people. However, this condition has requirements, namely the need to provide housing facilities that can accommodate these millennials. Moreover, the current urbanization trend is encouraging the millennial generation to work in big cities in Indonesia. Providing housing facilities in areas supported by adequate transportation facilities or transit/TOD-based housing development can increase the work productivity of millennials. However, the challenges faced in housing services in TOD areas are land issues and ownership status owned by private parties because strategic locations have higher value from an economic perspective. If this happens, then residences in TOD areas will become typical residences intended for people with high incomes. On the other hand, not all millennials are high-income people. In terms of age, most millennials are still in the middle and lower category because they are still at the stage of starting their careers, so providing housing facilities for millennials does not only pay attention to location, but also to economic aspects. In this article, we discuss affordable housing in TOD areas as fulfilling housing needs for millennials along with concepts from an architectural perspective that have been implemented in Indonesia and in several countries in the world as a comparison so that they can be input for special development of affordable housing in TOD areas for millennials in Indonesia.

Abstract

An investigation into the building is carried out to determine the suitability and safety of the building and the strength of the structure. The investigations to be carried out include field and laboratory investigations. This is done to determine the feasibility and safety of existing structures. Apart from that, it is also hoped that this investigation can provide recommendations regarding repair or strengthening methods if necessary, referring to the requirements for Structural Concrete for Buildings SNI 2847:2019 and Procedures for Earthquake Resistance Planning for Building and Non-Building Structures SNI 2847:2019. From the results of structural testing using UPV and Hammer Test, it was found that the structural system is an open frame consisting of plates, beams and columns using concrete material, while the joists use steel plinths. The reinforcing steel used uses plain iron U40 as flexible reinforcement with shear reinforcement with U24. The quality of concrete obtained respectively for column f'c 25 MPa, beam f'c 22 MPa and floor slab f'c 22 MPa. Based on the results of the floor leveling survey to record the potential for building subsidence or floor sagging using a water level, it was concluded that there was no slope found in the building as a whole. The deflection that occurs is local and relatively flat. To meet the requirements, strengthening was carried out by increasing the dimensions of the columns and beams, adding plates to the steel profiles on the flange and web.

Abstract

The foundation is a substructure which functions to support the loads and forces caused by the superstructure (superstructure) to the soil layer which will carry these loads and forces. Deep foundations are usually used to obtain a large enough soil bearing capacity and if the depth of the hard soil is far below the ground surface. The aim of this task is to analyze the bearing capacity of pile foundations using sondir data, standard penetration test (SPT) data, as well as the finite element method using the plaxis program. The method used in this final assignment is by studying literature, then collecting the necessary data, and after that carrying out calculation analysis using existing methods. From the results of the calculations carried out, different results were obtained. Where for sondir data at point S1 obtained Qu =115.80 tons; at point S2 obtained Qu = 104.80 tons; at point S3 obtained Qu = 105.50 tons. Meanwhile, based on SPT data at point BH-01, Qu = 398.23 tons, and using the plaxis program Qu = 425 tons

Abstract

Roads are infrastructure that really supports people's living needs. In a broader dimension, the road network has a very important role in regional development, both national, regional and district/city areas according to the function of the road network. The condition of the road damage that occurred on a number of roads in the Makassar city area is increasingly worrying. The reason is that the condition of the road, which was initially slightly damaged due to being abandoned, is now getting worse with deep potholes. As a result, the smoothness of traffic and the safety and comfort of road users are disrupted. This research is intended to provide information regarding the types of road damage that occur, factors causing road damage and mitigation efforts carried out on the Tanjung Bunga metro road, Makassar city. The data collection method is in the form of a visual survey of types of road damage carried out directly in the field and data analysis using the Bina Marga method. The results of research in the field show that the greatest road damage on rigid pavement is grain release with a percentage of 0.076 percent on the left section and 0.089 percent on the right section, while the smallest type of road damage is corner cracking with a percentage of 0.0035 percent on the left section. and 0.0027 percent on the right side. The biggest type of road damage on flexible pavement is grain shedding with a percentage of 0.121 percent on the left section and 0.088 percent on the right section, while the smallest type of damage on the left section is edge cracking with a percentage of 0.003 percent and the type of damage sinking on the right section with a percentage 0.002 percent. Among the most dominant types of damage is grain release.
