Abstract

This research is based on a student problem study at IAIN Kediri, where the Guidance and Counseling (BK) service is still not implemented. This study aims to describe the urgency of BK services and what BK service needs for students at Islamic Religious Colleges in Kediri City. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach to survey design with a cross-sectional survey design type. The research instrument used was a questionnaire to analyze student needs and the data analysis used was descriptive statistics to describe the urgency of BK services for students at PTKI. The results of data analysis show that the need for BK services is indicated by the percentage of problems experienced by students at PTKI, namely problems in the learning sector 28.59%, problems in the career sector 27.65%, then problems in the social sector 22.08%, and in the personal field. amounted to 21.68%. Thus, the urgency of BK services can be taken into consideration in making policies at IAIN Kediri.

Abstract

This study aims to deal with stress with a logotherapy approach in improving the spirituality of the elderly at BSLU Mandalika NTB and to find out the obstacles in overcoming stress with a logotherapy approach to improve the spirituality of the elderly at BSLU Mandalika NTB. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a case study approach. The results of logotherapy research using reflective paradoxical intention techniques and spiritual guidance are effective in overcoming stress in the elderly at BSLU Mandalika NTB. The obstacles experienced in the implementation of logotherapy are caused by several factors, including the difficulty of communicating with the elderly and the physical condition of the elderly who cannot take long in conducting interviews, and the last one because of past trauma which is still difficult to forget.

Abstract

The Class II Banda Aceh Children's Special Guidance Institute (LPKA) has carried out various efforts to provide Islamic guidance to civilian students, including learning to read the Koran, Islamic studies and so on. If seen from the guidance efforts given, there should be a change in attitude and behavior for correctional students in terms of faith, worship, and morals. This study aims to determine first, LPKA's efforts in providing Islamic guidance to students. Second, the method of Islamic guidance that is applied to students. Third, the obstacles that occur in the process of Islamic guidance for students. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical method. Subject taking in this study was carried out using purposive sampling. The results showed that the LPKA had attempted to provide Islamic guidance in the form of learning activities to read the Koran, congregational prayer, zikir. The guidance method applied is by making groups according to the class of students. The obstacles that occur in the guidance process consist of internal factors and external factors. Internal factors such as students' lack of interest. Meanwhile, the external factor is the lack of competent Islamic mentors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the form of interpersonal communication of students, the efforts of the mentor teacher in fostering student communication through the provision of information services and the provision of individual services, and the efforts of the obstacles faced by teachers of SMK Negeri 4 Padang. This research is a field research (Field Research). ) with a descriptive research method, which describes the role of the mentor teacher in fostering communication of students at SMK Negeri 4 Padang. Based on this research, it was found that the form of interpersonal communication carried out by students at school was in the form of verbal communication and non-verbal communication. The effort of the supervising teacher in fostering student communication is by providing information services about communication procedures and individual counseling services. Constraints faced by supervisors in fostering student communication are the lack of time the supervisor has to carry out guidance and counseling activities, the number of tutors who are not proportional to the number of students, the number of tasks other than the guidance and counseling duties.

Abstract

The aims of this research were (1) to get the information of underlying factors of college students’ marriage during their studies, (2) to find out the exact problems of college students’ marriage during their studies, and (3) to find out the ways to solve the problems of college students’ marriage during their studies. This research was a qualitative research using a case study research design. The main units of analysis were three pairs of respondents and their parents and friends. The data were gained by means of observation, documentation, and interview. The validity of data was obtained through triangulation technique and triangulation source. Data analysis techniques were conducted by adopting interactive model Miles & Huberman. The results showed: (1) Underlying factors of marriage included a) internal factors such as love and knowledge of religion, b) external factors such as encouragement from parents, unwed pregnancy, economic factors, and social and cultural circumstances. (2) Problems faced by married college students during their study were. a) academic problems, that is often do not go to college, laziness and bad time management, b) non-academic problems such as their monotonous and selfish personality and polygamy case as well. (3) The solution of college students’ marriage problems was time management, college leave, dialogue to solve the problems, consultation with religious figures and motivation.

Abstract

An Islamic religious instructor is someone who has knowledge of Islam, who is a guide, motivator and role model for people who listen to what he has to say. Therefore, the authors conducted a study on the role of Islamic extension agents in improving the behavior of prisoners to be better than before. The object of this research is all Muslim prisoners. Researchers use the method of observation or direct observation, interviews and documentation. Observations were made to find out about the condition of the prisoners and the location of the Class II A Metro Prison, to find out the activities carried out, the attitudes or behavior of the prisoners, the ways of implementing religious coaching activities by Islamic religious instructors. The interview method was carried out to obtain information related to the way the coaching activities were carried out, the time and place were carried out to the officers who regulated the course of these activities, namely the Community Health Center, as well as the prisoners themselves. The documentation method is used to obtain data on the prisoners, the composition of the organization, the schedule for the implementation of coaching activities. The author's data analysis used a qualitative descriptive approach, namely the data that had been obtained was written and described, accompanied by discussion and then drawing conclusions. The results showed that the role of Islamic religious instructors in improving the behavior of prisoners in the Class II A Metro Correctional Institution, in fact showed a positive attitude, namely the behavior that initially was less good than the prisoners became better after participating in religious activities delivered by the Islamic religious extension. This can be seen from the activeness of the inmates performing congregational prayers and carrying out sunnah prayers such as sunnah prayers and sunnah fasting, and being able to interact and behave well with fellow prisoners in the prison in the form of mutual tolerance and not easily emotional. Abstract

Counseling in Higher Education is clearly an indispensable activity after the teaching system becomes a semester credit system, which requires students to arrange and plan their own credit collection program every semester as effectively as possible. Counseling activities in educational institutions or in everyday social life are functional activities or services that are professional or expertise on the basis of science and technology. Counseling is a conscious effort of one component of our education, given that counseling is an activity of assistance and demands given to individuals in general and students or students in particular in the context of the world of education. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of emotional regulation therapy and play therapy on reducing internet addiction in children. The subjects in this study were 14 children who experienced internet addiction with their mothers. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a difference between internet addiction in children who follow emotion regulation therapy and play therapy with children with internet addiction who do not follow emotion regulation therapy and play therapy. The research design used is the control group design. Quantitative analysis used an independent sample t-test to determine whether or not there was an effect of emotion regulation therapy and play therapy on reducing internet addiction in the experimental group given emotion regulation therapies and play therapy with the control group not receiving emotion regulation therapy and play therapy. . The results of the study, in the form of all aspects of internet addiction, showed a very significant difference, children with internet addiction in the control group and the experimental group were given treatment with a final internet addiction test score with a value of p = 0.007 (P < 0.01).

Abstract

This article aims to explain how the life cycle of a marriage, starts from the guidelines for choosing a potential partner through face reading or panyandra firasating manungsa in the primbon book "Betaljemur Adammlasi-BA," along with its role in prospective ta'aruf partners. Betaljemur Adammlasi is a primbon book by Kangjeng Pangeran Harya (KPH) Tjakraningrat, when he was still active in the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate, Yogyakarta. This book emerged as a result of the assimilation and acculturation of stories from Islamic treasures, namely the story of Amir Hamzah which in Javanese tradition is called Wong Agung Menak. In the BA primbon book, several aspects of gut science/physiognomy are found in reading people's faces, from the head, hair, forehead/forehead, eyebrows, ears, eyes, nose, mouth, lips, cheeks, teeth, and chin. Face reading or panyandra sifating manungsa in the BA primbon book is an assimilation of culture, local wisdom, and is supported by religious values, resulting in the knowledge of titen. Furthermore, it can play a role for prospective ta'aruf pairs as preventive and curative materials.

Abstract

One of the educational environments that play a major role in children's education from an early age is the family environment. Nowadays, the rapid development of technology makes many values ??and norms change, both positive and negative. These changes indirectly require parents to be able to adjust parenting patterns according to the demands of the times. 21st century thinking skills in this case become one of the skills that must be introduced to students from an early age. Responding to the increasingly complex challenges of authoritarian, permissive, and democratic parenting that may have been effective at that time, may no longer be relevant to use in the digital era as it is today. Referring to these conditions, this study aimed to analyze the role of millennial parenting on students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a library research method through qualitative research by reviewing the literature relevant to this topic. The results of the study show that the role of millennial parents' parenting has an impact on shaping 21st century thinking skills.
