Abstract

Advances in digital technology have driven the transformation of history education through the use of more interactive and contextual Android-based media. This study aims to explore students’ experiences in using Android-based local history learning and to analyze its contribution to enhancing their understanding of Yogyakarta’s cultural heritage. The study employed a qualitative approach, involving 10th-grade students and a history teacher at a high school in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via open-ended questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and observations, and were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicate that Android-based local history learning enhances students’ interest and motivation, facilitates their understanding of the history and philosophical values of Yogyakarta’s cultural heritage, and fosters a growing awareness of the need to preserve local culture. The integration of multimedia—including text, images, videos, interactive maps, and quizzes—provides a more meaningful learning experience compared to conventional teaching methods. This study contributes an Android-based local history learning model that integrates Yogyakarta’s cultural heritage as a contextual learning resource, thereby supporting the strengthening of students’ cultural identity while also promoting cultural preservation in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) is a major plantation commodity in Lanona Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency, yet its productivity remains low, partly because the chemical fertility status of the local soils has not been documented. This study aimed to determine the status of soil chemical properties (pH, organic carbon, total N, and total P) in cocoa plantation land in Lanona Village according to slope position and soil depth. A soil survey was carried out at three slope positions (footslope, midslope, and summit) and two depths (0–20 cm and 20–40 cm), with three replicates for each combination, yielding 18 soil samples. Soil pH ranged from acidic to neutral (5.22–7.15), with the highest values at the midslope and the lowest at the summit. Organic carbon content was moderate to high (2.26–4.60%), highest at the midslope and decreasing with depth. Total N was low to moderate (0.11–0.28%), whereas total P varied widely (2.78–25.02 ppm), with a very high status found only at the midslope. Slope position, together with base leaching and organic matter accumulation, was the main factor controlling the observed variation in soil chemical properties. The midslope showed the chemical fertility status most favourable for cocoa cultivation, whereas the footslope and summit required improvement, particularly through dolomitic liming, organic matter addition, and more targeted N and P fertilisation.

Abstract

Sustainable business performance remains a critical challenge for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in increasingly competitive and digital business environments. While previous studies have examined the direct effects of digital marketing and strategic management on organizational performance, limited attention has been given to the role of organizational capability as a strategic mechanism linking these factors to sustainability. Drawing upon the Knowledge-Based View (KBV), this study investigates the mediating role of Business Capacity in the relationships between Social Media Marketing, Strategic Orientation, Government Regulation, and Sustainable Performance among handicraft SMEs in Indonesia. Data were collected from 120 handicraft SMEs in Magelang Regency using purposive sampling and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS 24. The results indicate that Social Media Marketing, Strategic Orientation, and Government Regulation significantly enhance Business Capacity. Furthermore, Business Capacity exerts the strongest positive influence on Sustainable Performance, confirming its role as a strategic organizational capability that transforms external knowledge and managerial resources into sustainable business outcomes. This study extends the Knowledge-Based View by demonstrating that organizational knowledge embedded in financial capability, customer management, internal business processes, and organizational learning is fundamental to achieving long-term sustainability. The findings provide practical implications for SME managers and policymakers in designing knowledge-driven capability development programs that strengthen sustainable competitiveness.

Abstract

The development of cattle-based biogas is one alternative for supporting rural energy security and reducing dependence on subsidized LPG. This study aims to analyze land carrying capacity, cattle stocking rates, and the potential for LPG subsidy savings in Cirahab Village, Banyumas Regency. The method used was quantitative descriptive analysis with five land-use scenarios (10-50%) of the village’s total area of 946 ha. The results of the analysis show that the land’s carrying capacity can accommodate 946-4,730 head of cattle, which has the potential to meet the energy needs of 378-1,892 households. Under a 40% land-use scenario, the livestock capacity reaches 3,784 head of cattle with biogas production of approximately 35,119 m³ per month, equivalent to 5,385 3-kg LPG cylinders. Assuming an LPG subsidy of Rp30,000 per cylinder, this program has the potential to save the government approximately Rp161.55 million per month, or Rp1.94 billion per year, in subsidy expenditures. The study’s findings indicate that the development of cattle-based biogas has the potential to support community energy self-sufficiency while improving the efficiency of government energy subsidies.

Abstract

The management of student activity data scattered across numerous categories and the manual, subjective assessment of graduate competencies make student competency profiles difficult to standardize, compare, and verify. This study develops a Student and Alumni Information System that manages activity data, alumni data, and online CVs while mapping graduate competencies automatically, objectively, and auditably by applying a rule-based expert system and a weighted scoring method based on Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). The system was built using the Laravel 12 framework and a MySQL database with the Prototype development model. The competency engine operates deterministically: verified student activities are normalized, matched against a competency catalog (soft skills through a category matrix and technical skills through keywords), and then scored by multiplying base points with role, level, output, and verification multipliers. The scores are aggregated using a diminishing returns mechanism and enriched with an academic bonus (GPA) to determine competency levels (from Developing to Expert), along with a confidence level and a traceable evidence trail. Testing was carried out using black box testing and validation of the scoring results against student affairs expert judgment. The results show that the system produces consistent and verified competency profiles to support the generation of online CVs and Diploma Supplements (SKPI), thereby supporting sustainable competency development and graduate competitiveness (sustainable employability).

Abstract

Lack of clean water supply has become a serious problem in many coastal areas. In an effort to overcome this problem, seawater desalination is one of the possible solutions. In relation to this problem, this paper proposes an innovative approach combining seawater desalination with solar energy technology and IoT to provide clean water efficiently and sustainably. This system uses solar energy as the main power source to drive the desalination process. Sensors connected to the IoT network are used to measure important parameters such as water temperature and EC that enable real-time monitoring. However, the results of the desalination process still leave harmful waste compounds such as lead and iron, so it is necessary to re-filtrate with natural adsorbents zeolite and activated carbon. Based on the results of measurements and calculations, a solar power plant capacity of 40.821 Wp is needed and a battery capacity of 790.815 Ah

Abstract

In response to rising global energy uncertainty and geopolitical fragmentation, Indonesia has accelerated its energy transition through the development of high-percentage biodiesel blends. This study analyzes diesel engine performance using B35 (2024) and B40 (2025) blends to assess their technical feasibility and impact on national energy resilience. Using a quantitative experimental method, daily energy production data from three diesel generator (PLTD) units were collected over four months under real operating conditions. The 2024 results show that B35 produced a consistent increase in monthly output, peaking at more than 1,025 MWh in April, indicating good combustion efficiency and operational stability. In contrast, 2025 data show that B40 exhibited more fluctuating performance, with peak output in March but a decline in April due to system load prioritization. Nevertheless, B40 demonstrated potential for better thermal efficiency and specific fuel consumption (SFC) if load management is optimized. These findings highlight the need for adaptive system management and infrastructure readiness to support the integration of high-percentage biodiesel, thereby strengthening Indonesia’s energy transition and national energy independence.

Abstract

Farmer Exchange Rate ( NTP) is one of the indicators used to measure the level of farmers’ welfare. Agricultural subsidy policies are expected to improve farmers’ welfare through increasing agricultural productivity and farm income. This study aims to: (1) determine the dynamics of the Farmer Exchange Rate in Southeast Sulawesi, and (2) analyze the impact of subsidy policies on the Farmer Exchange Rate in Southeast Sulawesi. This research was conducted from October 2025 to March 2026. The population in this study consisted of all farmers in Southeast Sulawesi, while the samples included the Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP), fertilizer subsidies, and program credit subsidies. This research employed a quantitative descriptive approach using time series data from 2009–2029. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. The results of this study indicate that the effect of fertilizer subsidies and program credit subsidies on farmers’ welfare in Southeast Sulawesi is not uniform. Urea fertilizer, organic fertilizer subsidies, and People's Business Credit have a significant effect but tend to reduce the Farmer Exchange Rate, while SP-36 fertilizer subsidies significantly increase the Farmer Exchange Rate. Meanwhile, NPK fertilizer subsidies, and ZA fertilizer subsidies, do not have a significant effect on the Farmer Exchange Rate in Southeast Sulawesi

Abstract

This study aims to describe the design and construction of a vortex-type turbine driving a 100-watt generator. The research method used is an experimental method, namely by designing, making, and testing a vortex turbine to determine the system's ability to produce 100 watts of electrical power. Based on the test results, turbines with blade angle variations of 30°, 45° and 60° at the same water discharge of 2,026L/s, it was found that the 60° blade angle produced better performance. This is shown at an angle of 60° obtaining a turbine speed of 714.882 and a hydrostatic pressure of 121,590 Pa, which is higher than an angle of 30° which obtains a turbine speed of 563.786 and a hydrostatic pressure of 121,590 and an angle of 45° which only obtains a turbine speed of 740.1 and a hydrostatic pressure of 95,245. Thus, it can be concluded that the blade angle affects turbine performance, where the 60° angle in this test is able to optimize the conversion of water energy into mechanical and electrical energy more effectively than the 30° and 45°

Abstract

This study aims to describe the design and construction of a cocoa bean grinding machine with a power of 0.5 hp. Based on the results of the cocoa bean grinding machine performance test and simple linear regression statistical data analysis using SPSS software in Chapter IV, several conclusions can be drawn as follows: Performance and Grinding Capacity of the Machine The grinding machine has a stable performance in producing fine products at a grinding duration of 2 minutes. At a variation of 1000 grams of input load, it produces an average of 358.33 grams of fine products, a 2000 gram load produces 733.33 grams, and a 3000 gram load produces 1066.67 grams. The Effect of Material Weight on Grinding Results (Regression Analysis): Fine Results: The weight of cocoa bean input has a positive and significant effect on fine results. Every 1 gram increase in cocoa weight will increase the fine results by 0.354 grams. Coarse Results: The weight of cocoa bean input has a positive and very significant effect on coarse results. Every 1 gram increase in cocoa weight causes an increase in coarse results by 0.642 grams. This shows that the majority of additional loads will tend to increase the coarse fraction if the grinding time is limited to only 2 minutes. Unmilled Material: The weight of cocoa bean input does not significantly affect the amount of unmilled material 0.212 > 0.05. The amount of unmilled material tends to be constant at an average value of 325 to 333 grams, which indicates the existence of a certain mechanical limit/dead space in the machine's grinding chamber. Machine Noise Level: The machine operates with a high noise level, ranging from 96.6 dB to 99.5 dB, which has exceeded the safe threshold for human hearing for long duration (85 dB). Based on the regression analysis, the addition of material weight has a negative coefficient (-0.001) which means it slightly dampens the sound, but the effect of this material weight addition is statistically insignificant (0.208 > 0.05).
