Abstract

This study investigates the influence of political connections and public ownership on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) disclosure, with firm size serving as a moderating variable, in mining companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2024 period. The research is motivated by increasing public concern regarding environmental and social issues in Indonesia's mining sector, as well as inconsistent findings reported in previous studies concerning the determinants of CSR disclosure. A quantitative research design was employed using secondary data obtained from annual reports and financial statements. The sample consisted of 30 mining companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 120 firm-year observations. The hypotheses were tested using multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with IBM SPSS version 27. The empirical findings indicate that political connections significantly influence CSR disclosure, whereas public ownership does not have a significant effect. Furthermore, firm size strengthens the relationship between political connections and CSR disclosure but does not moderate the relationship between public ownership and CSR disclosure. These findings provide updated empirical evidence regarding the role of political connections and ownership structure in explaining CSR disclosure practices in Indonesia's mining industry and contribute to the development of legitimacy theory and corporate sustainability literature.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of E-Commerce, Digital Payment, and Accounting Information Systems on entrepreneurial decision-making among Accounting students at Universitas Balikpapan. The study is motivated by the rapid acceleration of digital transformation, which has changed business models and created broader entrepreneurial opportunities for young people. However, previous empirical studies have reported inconsistent findings regarding the influence of digital commerce, digital payment systems, and accounting information systems on entrepreneurial decision-making, indicating the existence of an empirical research gap. This study employs a quantitative research design using primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to Accounting students from the 2022–2023 cohorts. The effective sample consists of 86 respondents, selected using the census (total sampling) technique. The hypotheses are tested using multiple linear regression analysis with IBM SPSS version 26. The empirical findings reveal that E-Commerce and Digital Payment do not significantly influence entrepreneurial decision-making, whereas the Accounting Information System has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all three independent variables significantly influence entrepreneurial decision-making, with an explanatory power of 34.4%. These findings provide updated empirical evidence regarding the determinants of entrepreneurial decision-making among university students and contribute to the development of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) in explaining technology adoption within entrepreneurial contexts.

Abstract

Digital transformation has driven the Sharia banking industry to continuously innovate its products and services to enhance competitiveness amidst the increasingly fierce financial industry landscape. One innovation developed by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) is the Cash Management System (CMS), a digital service designed to facilitate the effective, efficient, and secure management of financial transactions for institutional clients. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the BSI Cash Management System (CMS) product innovation, identify its contribution to enhancing the competitiveness of Sharia banking products, and examine the obstacles encountered during its implementation at Bank Syariah Indonesia, Bengkulu Area. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving internal personnel at Bank Syariah Indonesia (Bengkulu Area) specifically Funding and Transaction Relationship Managers (FTRMs) as well as institutional clients using the CMS service. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the implementation of the BSI Cash Management System (CMS) has made a tangible contribution to improving the effectiveness of institutional financial transaction management by enabling faster, more secure, accurate, and transparent transaction processes. CMS also strengthens Bank Syariah Indonesia's competitiveness by providing digital services that align with the needs of institutional clients. However, the implementation of CMS still faces several challenges, including low digital literacy among some users, limited service promotion, and the need for enhanced client support. Therefore, improving digital education, strengthening marketing strategies, and developing service features are crucial factors in optimizing the utilization of CMS as a Sharia banking product innovation.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students' reading comprehension skills through the implementation of the Reflective Question-Based Think–Pair–Share (TPS) method in Indonesian language lessons at MTs Darul Furqon Kamal, West Kairatu, West Seram Regency, Maluku. The study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles, each including planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 30 eighth-grade students and one Indonesian language teacher acting as a collaborative partner. Data were collected through classroom observations, reading comprehension tests, interviews, field notes, and documentation. Qualitative data were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the class mean and the percentage of students achieving the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM). The findings indicated that the implementation of the Think–Pair–Share method integrated with reflective questions successfully enhanced students' reading comprehension, classroom participation, and critical thinking skills. Students demonstrated significant improvement in identifying main ideas, making inferences, drawing conclusions, and responding to analytical questions throughout the two research cycles. Classroom interaction also became more active and collaborative as students engaged in individual thinking, peer discussion, and whole-class sharing. The study concludes that the Reflective Question-Based Think–Pair–Share method is an effective instructional strategy for improving reading comprehension and promoting active, student-centered learning in Indonesian language classrooms.
