Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) have and important role to contribute to the national economy and also can contribute to achieve sustainable development goals (SDG). To achieve sustainability, SME should have a positive effect on the surrounding community. There is a theory that can be applied to support the existence of SMEs, namely the legitimacy theory. Legitimacy theory is widely used in the literature to explain Corporate Sustainability. Some of the things that SMEs do to achieve legitimacy are as follows, SME implement corporate social responsibility, communicating CSR to stakeholder, attract foreign investor by enhance social, environment, and governance performance. In addition, the legitimacy of SME can be viewed from the owner-manager of SME’s perspective. Based on owner manager’s perspective, to establish legitimacy can be from customer’s satisfaction through the value of the product/service, and also by give a responsibility to employees. SMEs that can achieve legitimacy, can achieve sustainability.

Abstract

Covid-19 in 2020 had many impacts on several sectors, one of which was the economic sector. Uncertainty during the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in MSME business actors experiencing a decrease in income. For this reason, MSMEs must have a strategy to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic. Digital marketing strategy is a form of business to promote and introduce a brand and product using digital media. This is the right step to survive during this pandemic. This study aims to determine the digital marketing strategy for UMKM Mentari Citra Lestari to be able to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative method by selecting a case study. The results of the study show that these MSMEs are implementing digital marketing strategies to survive the Covid-19 pandemic with several strategies, namely 1) Implementing social media marketing, using Instagram and Facebook as marketing media by utilizing photos and videos. 2) Implementing content marketing, these MSMEs use marketing content to help introduce products through features adopted from social media, using messages that are packaged creatively using interesting photos, captions, hashtags and videos.

Abstract

This research provides an overview of how business strategies in the view of Islam which of course in the process of running a business must be accompanied by sharia rules. The world is becoming more globalised, with businesses producing products that are now considered halal. This sector has a huge impact on the world economy, and the halal market is now dominant in the commercial world. With a huge potential market size, Muslim countries currently have more than 1.6 billion consumers, supporting the growth of halal lifestyles among the non-Muslim population. To grow and compete in the global market for halal products, Indonesia needs a well-executed strategy that capitalises on the development of the digital ecosystem. One way to achieve this is by encouraging businesses that are acceptable and valued by society and can be seen as export commodities that can drive the growth of trade and industry-related sectors, which in turn will help increase national income. A specific strategy is needed to develop the halal industry in Indonesia, and one important way to achieve this is by capitalising on the growth of the digital ecosystem.

Abstract

The aim of this research is twofold: 1) to examine and analyze how interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates impact investment decisions, and 2) to explore how interest rates, inflation, exchange rates, and investment decisions affect the value of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.This study adopted a causal approach using secondary data gathered from financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, obtained from various sources including the Indonesian Capital Market Directory (ICMD) data via the Capital Market Information Center (PIPM) Makassar office, the Indonesia Stock Exchange website, the Bank of Indonesia website, and the Badan Pusat Statistic (BPS) website. The population of this study consisted of all manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesian stock market. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, which resulted in 45 companies being selected, each with financial statements covering a 5-year period, thereby providing a total of 225 observations. The method of analysis used in this study was path analysis. The findings revealed that interest rates and inflation have a negative impact on investment decisions, while exchange rates have a positive impact.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of organizational commitment, organizational culture, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on employee performance through job satisfaction at PT Pegadaian Malang area employees. This type of research is descriptive and explanatory research, with a quantitative approach. For data processing using SEM-PLS. Questionnaire survey data were collected both online using Google Forms and offline through questionnaires. The sample in this study was 163 employees of PT Pegadaian Malang. The findings show that organizational commitment, OCB, and organizational culture can explain job satisfaction and employee performance. Organizational commitment, organizational culture, and OCB have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and OCB, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect mediating organizational commitment, organizational culture and OCB on performance employee. These results indicate that job satisfaction plays an important role in mediating organizational commitment, OCB, organizational culture, and employee performance at PT Pegadaian Malang area. The findings of this study should be able to attract decision-makers at PT Pegadaian, especially in the Malang area, to pay more attention to maintaining and increasing organizational commitment, OCB, and organizational culture that has employee job satisfaction. The results of this study are also expected to contribute to the development of the science of human resource management and organizational behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze not only awareness but also perceptions of small and medium enterprises in Indonesia, especially in Banten on two Fintech models, namely Peer-to-Peer lending and crowd funding in developing their business. By conducting survey on 115 SMEs, descriptive analysis was applied through Microsoft Office Excel data processing. Data analysis uses frequency distribution and central measurement. This research shows that there is still a lack of knowledge and awareness of Peer-to-Peer lending and crowd funding model which can be used as alternative financing instruments. Even so, some of them have a positive perception of development of FinTech. Thus, steps to increase awareness need to be carried out by related parties such as the government.

Abstract

Regional government and community leadership requires the development of quality human resources as implementers of development so that they are capable and resilient in realizing the national goals of promoting general welfare, educating the nation's life in a free, independent, united, sovereign, just and prosperous national life. One way to develop human resources is the human capital method. Human capital is an investment made with the aim of increasing a higher level of consumption in the future, which is obtained through education. In addition, this investment also aims to increase human productivity. The form of this research is descriptive research, the purpose of this research is to describe in general the conditions of human resource development in West Kalimantan and efforts to increase human resources with a human capital approach. The results of this study suggest that efforts must be made by the government and society together, namely through an ethical and moral approach that involves the role of religion in society, human capital to improve the quality of life of human resources and also we must be able to contextualize human resource development through a local cultural approach or local culture in the region of West Kalimantan.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a qualitative study of the factors that cause differences in the wages of male and female agricultural laborers in Parbulu Village, Waelata District, Pick up District. The population in this study were 205 respondents. And the number of samples taken were 31 female farm workers and 30 male farm workers or around 30% of the total population, namely 61 farm workers. Sampling technique based on purpose (Purposive Sampling). The data collected are primary data and secondary data. Data collection methods used are observation methods, interview methods, questionnaire methods, and documentation methods. The type of data used in this research is to use a qualitative approach. And there are several analyzes that are used to analyze qualitative data, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of the data analysis show that the factors that cause differences in the wages of male and female agricultural laborers in the lowland rice commodity are gender, productivity, type of work, time/hours worked. While factors such as age, work experience and the area of ​​land worked do not cause differences in wages.

Abstract

The implementation of change often requires effective leadership as an important first step, rather than verbal assurances. Therefore, this study aims to determine the quality or ability of Human Resources to carry out their duties and functions at the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency in the Enrekang Regency. The study procedures were carried out using a quantitative method with a saturated sampling approach, involving 36 participants. The results showed that: 1) Leadership had no significant influence on performance of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency in the Enrekang Regency, and it was also indirectly proportional to the improvement of Human Resources development, 2) Organizational Culture significantly influenced employee performance, thereby making a positive and significant contribution to Human Resources development. 3) Leadership and organizational culture simultaneously impacted performance of workers.

Abstract

The Central Bureau of Statistics (2022), released data that the contribution to tourism gross domestic income (GDP) in 2022 until the third quarter reached 3.6%, this figure shows a significant increase from 2021 at 2.4%. Semarang is one of the tourist destination cities in Indonesia that is relatively fast in terms of tourism revitalization. The government continues to encourage digitalization in existing tourist destinations, where one of the most obvious is digitalization in terms of payment. The government through Bank Indonesia is now promoting its digital product, QRIS, which is predicted to boost the digital economy. However, MSMEs in the tourism sector in Semarang City are still partially shifting to QRIS-based payment gateways. The results of this study indicate that the use of the QRIS Payment System has a positive and significant effect on the growth of MSME revenue in the tourism business sector in Semarang City. This can be translated that the implementation of the QRIS-based Payment Gateway has a positive impact on the revenue growth of MSMEs in the Tourism Business Sector in Semarang City. Then based on the statements of respondents of MSMEs in the Tourism Business Sector in Semarang City who use QRIS, there are several obstacles that are felt, namely: There are still those who do not understand how to use QRIS, constrained by the network, the slow process of disbursing funds in real time / instant, the cost of using QRIS charged to merchants (traders). However, these obstacles are considered not to have too much impact on their overall business income.
