Abstract

This study examines the carrying capacity of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) roots in mitigating landslide risk under extreme rainfall conditions in Indonesia. The research was motivated by increasing deforestation and the conversion of natural forests into oil palm monoculture plantations, which reduce slope stability and increase disaster vulnerability. The objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of oil palm root systems in maintaining soil stability using the Index of Root Anchoring (IRA) and Index of Root Binding (IRB) parameters. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a comparative literature study approach. The population consisted of scientific literature discussing root biomechanics, soil stability, and landslide mitigation, while the sample included selected journals, reports, and scientific references relevant to oil palm root characteristics. Data were collected through literature documentation techniques and analyzed descriptively by comparing IRA and IRB values from previous studies. The results showed that oil palm roots possess relatively strong horizontal binding capacity with an IRB value of approximately 0.0256, but very weak vertical anchoring capacity with an IRA value of approximately 0.004. The conclusion indicates that oil palm plantations can reduce surface erosion but are unable to provide adequate deep-soil reinforcement under extreme rainfall conditions, thereby increasing landslide susceptibility

Abstract

Maritime transportation, particularly Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessels, plays an important role in supporting passenger and vehicle mobility in Indonesia. Ship stability and load factor are critical aspects influencing operational safety. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between load factor and the stability of PT. Dharma Lautan Utama’s Ro-Ro vessels operating at Tanjung Perak Port, Surabaya. The study employed a descriptive quantitative design. The population consisted of operational activities of Ro-Ro vessels at PT. Dharma Lautan Utama Surabaya Branch, while the sample included operational and loading data collected from March to June 2025. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The research instruments included ship operational reports and stability calculation documents. Data analysis was conducted using load factor calculations and ship stability parameters, including KG, GM, GZ, and rolling period analysis. The results showed that the highest load factor in April reached 33% and was followed by the highest GM stability proportion of 31%, while the lowest load factor in March was 16% with a GM proportion of 23%. Abstract

CV 06 Production is an event organizer company operating since 2006, managing various events for both private and public sectors. With the growing demand for professional event services and increasing market competition, the company must develop a well-directed marketing communications strategy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and to formulate appropriate marketing communication strategies to increase the number of events managed. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observations, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to 20 clients. Data analysis is conducted using the IFAS, EFAS, SWOT, and Grand Strategy matrices. The IFAS matrix resulted in a score of +0.375, indicating stronger internal strengths. Meanwhile, the EFAS score of +1.15 shows that external opportunities outweigh threats. These results position the company in Quadrant I of the SWOT matrix, supporting the implementation of a growth-oriented strategy. Recommended strategies include optimizing digital media usage, developing an official website, enhancing internal coordination, and diversifying promotional channels. These approaches are expected to expand the company's market reach and sustainably increase its event portfolio.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has triggered a Big Data explosion, but MSMEs in Tanjung Rejo Village still rely on manual recording, hampering sales performance analysis. This study aims to build a web information system based on K-Means clustering for MSME performance classification using five variables: monthly turnover, transactions, operating hours, strategic location, and operating days. A descriptive quantitative approach was applied to a local MSME population with a purposive sample of 6 representative businesses. The questionnaire instrument collected primary data, analyzed via Min-Max preprocessing, K-Means iteration (k=3), and Chart.js visualization on Python-Flask-SQLite. The results show accurate segmentation into three clusters: undeveloped (2 MSMEs), less developed (3 MSMEs), and developed (1 MSME), with a stable dashboard and successful black-box validation. Conclusion: an effective system supports targeted coaching, practical implications increase MSME competitiveness via data-driven insights, despite limited scalability.

Abstract

Transformation Digital transformation in the healthcare sector necessitates optimal utilization of medical record data to facilitate more effective decision-making processes. Prima Melati Clinic continues to experience limitations in managing medical record data, which has not undergone systematic analysis to distinguish prevailing disease patterns. The purpose of this study is to analyze and apply the K-Means Clustering algorithm to identify dominant diseases based on patient medical record data at Prima Melati Clinic. The research methodology used is a quantitative approach that utilizes data mining techniques through the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) stages, which include data preprocessing, application of the K-Means algorithm, and interpretation of clustering results. The dataset used consists of approximately 1000 patient medical records covering the period of January 2025 to May 2025. The data preprocessing phase includes data cleaning, missing value management, and data normalization using the StandardScaler technique. Determining the optimal number of clusters is achieved through the Elbow method, using the Sum of Squared Errors (SSE) calculation. The findings indicate that the K-Means algorithm with a cluster size of 3 (k) effectively categorizes patient data into three main clusters based on disease diagnostic characteristics classified by severity (mild, moderate, and severe). Each cluster reveals distinct dominant disease patterns, providing insight into disease distribution in relation to the severity of the patient's condition. The results of this analysis can be utilized by clinics in developing drug procurement strategies, scheduling medical personnel, and designing more targeted disease prevention strategies. Consequently, the implementation of the K-Means Clustering algorithm has demonstrated effectiveness in identifying dominant disease patterns and in strengthening data-driven decision-making at Prima Melati Clinic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design a web-based ordering and queue monitoring information system for Ayam Geprek Mavera MSMEs. The business faces several operational challenges, including long customer queues, manual order recording, uncertain order completion times, and online ordering that still relies on WhatsApp. To address these issues, a web-based system was designed using the Waterfall development method, while data and references were collected through a literature review approach. The resulting system design consists of UML models, including flowcharts, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, and website interface mockups. The proposed system provides features for online ordering, payment processing, queue management, and real-time order tracking. The design is expected to improve service efficiency, reduce recording errors, and support the digital transformation of culinary MSMEs

Abstract

TK/PAUD As-Syifa in Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, still runs its student admission process (PPDB) manually: parents come to school, fill in paper forms, and wait for confirmation. The process is slow, prone to data loss, and places a heavy administrative burden on staff. This study built a web-based PPDB information system to replace that process. The system was developed using CodeIgniter, PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap, following a Waterfall development approach with UML modeling. Testing used Black Box Testing across 56 test scenarios in eight functional categories, covering multi-step registration forms, user authentication, verification, and session security. Every scenario passed without exception, yielding a 100% success rate. As a result, parents can register independently at any time, administrators can verify data and download Excel reports on demand, and the risk of data loss is substantially reduced.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the rate of deforestation in Papua and its ecological implications, using the documentary film "Pesta Babi" as a medium for ecological representation and critique. Massive deforestation in Papua, primarily due to food estate projects, oil palm plantation expansion, and mining, has threatened the food and energy sovereignty of indigenous communities. A qualitative approach using media text analysis and a systematic literature review was used in this study. The analysis shows that the forced conversion of indigenous forests not only eliminates traditional biomass-based food and energy sources but also marginalizes local communities, triggers biodiversity loss, and contributes to the global climate crisis. In conclusion, a review of forest management policies that position local communities as rights-holders is needed to reduce the rate of deforestation, protect the food and energy sovereignty of indigenous communities, and prevent natural colonialism.

Abstract

The development of digitalization of public services has encouraged the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) to implement an online-based Marriage Management Information System (SIMKAH) to improve the quality of marriage registration administration. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the online-based SIMKAH implementation at the Office of Religious Affairs in Sukorambi District, Jember Regency. The study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The study population included all parties involved in marriage administration services at the KUA in Sukorambi District, while informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique consisting of the Head of KUA, Operational Service Administrator, First Expert Registrar, and SIMKAH user couples. The main research instrument was the researcher with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and source triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of SIMKAH improves productivity, service quality, time efficiency, access flexibility, user satisfaction, data security, and ease of administration management, although there are still obstacles such as low socialization and national server disruptions.The conclusion of the study states that online-based SIMKAH has been implemented effectively in marriage administration services at the KUA of Sukorambi District, however, optimization of socialization and system development is still needed to improve the quality of service

Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease that requires early detection to prevent complications. This study refers to the analysis of diabetes prediction using the Logistic Regression algorithm. The data used comes from the open dataset platform, namely Kaggle, including health attributes such as Pregnancies, Glucose, Blood Pressure, Skin Thickness, Insulin, BMI, Age, Outcome. The process in this study includes data cleaning, model development, and prediction. Model assessment was carried out using Confusion Matrix to calculate accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score, which is supported by ROC Curve analysis. The findings in this study show that the Logistic Regression model achieved an accuracy level of 75.32% and an AUC of 0.8232, indicating that the classification performance is quite good in predicting diabetes conditions
