Abstract

This study aimed to determine the understanding of health care towards social phenomena related to the dominance of non-communicable diseases which were increased in the community and to identify what efforts were made by health workers in preventing non-communicable diseases. The long-term goal of this study was to control the risk factors for PTM in Indonesia, especially in Campurejo Health Center, Mojoroto District, Kediri City. This study used a qualitative method with 72 populations and 10 samples. The data was collected through purposive sampling and in-depth interviews. The study informants were health workers from Kediri city health office, health workers at the Campurejo Health Center, community leaders and health cadres. The data analysis used interactive qualitative methods (Milles and Hebberman) and the instrument was recorder. The results of the study showed the concept of objectivation in opposing the flow of public understanding of PTM could be seen from the results of the socialization conducted by health workers. This new fact could be seen from one of the efforts of health workers in disseminating PTM in society. Other forms of socialization that were still general in nature could be seen in a variety of activity formats, for example: early detection, health promotion, counseling, mobile Posbindu, and door to door systems. The five micro activities were derived from the grand design of socialization in the perspective of social construction theory as a form of externalization by health workers.

Abstract

Infertility was a serious problem in the reproductive period, one of the caused of infertility were common in women of childbearing age group is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).Sambiloto (Andrographis paniculata Nees), had been already known contain flavonoid and lactones. The purpose of this research had to determine the effect of various doses of sambiloto extract with the expression of β estrogen receptor and estrus cycle in the mice model of PCOS - insulin resistance. This research was an animal model experimental laboratory research with a completely randomized design (CRD).The results showed that sambiloto extract therapy in treatment group had an improvement estrus cycle compared with control group. Positive control group, almost 90% had persistent anestrus condition. In treatment group 1 and 2 in the last vagina smear obtained anestrus condition as much as 60% in diestrus and medestrus phase. Whereas treatment groups 3 all experimental animals in a estrus state by proestrus and estrus phase. β Estrogen receptor expression had tested by Kruskal Wallis test for overall treatment, obtained significantly different results (p ≤ 0.002) followed by Mann - Whitney, showed that immunoreactive cells score from highest to lowest occurred in each group Negative control (KN), P3, P2, P1 and Positive Control (KP).It could be concluded that sambiloto extract at dose 18mg/kgbb, 36mg/kgbb, and 72mg/kgbb had been given an overview of the differences expression of β estrogen receptor, could change the estrus cycle of female mice models of insulin resistance PCOS.

Abstract

The largest cases of pneumonia occurred in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China in December 2019, which resembles SARS-CoV as a cause of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) virus infection. The number of cases reaches 3.2 million people worldwide, and among them are breastfeeding mothers. Although virus transmission occurs through direct contact with infected patients, the number of infants or young children who were infected with COVID-19 during breastfeeding was only 10%. There is no scientific evidence for vertical transmission from mother to her baby during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The content of immunoglobulin A (IgA), immunoglobulin M (IgM), and immunoglobulin G (IgG) has a positive impact on the infant’s body. The objective of the study was to determine the immunoglobulin concentration in breast milk against SARS CoV2. The method used a systematic review approach with the design of Preferred Reporting Items For Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The result showed laboratory clinical trials, the IgA, IgG, and IgM responses showed good results in the spread of the coronavirus into the baby's body. IgA reactivity has a higher concentration than other cells. In conclusion, Covid-19 pandemic made the public worried about their health, including breastfeeding mothers. The role of health workers is needed to provide information related to breastfeeding exclusively to their babies so that they will receive protection against virus entered their bodies. Suggestion: It is necessary to develop studies regarding the typical responses that come up from IgA, IgM, IgG and are able to protect infants from Covid-19 and vertical transmission between mother and her baby during pregnancy to breastfeeding.

Abstract

Pulmonary TB disease is one of the priorities of eradication of infectious diseases. Early-stage drug breakup occurs if the patient does not take medication 2 months in a row or more before the treatment period is complete. Drug breakups result in patients being resistant to OAT (Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs) and can lead to complications. This study aimed to analyze the occurrence of complications of tuberculosis sufferers due to a history of drug breakup. The design in this study was Correlation Analytics with Retrospective approach methods. The population in this study was all TB sufferers who had a history of drug breakups and complications. The sampling technique in this study was Non-Probability Sampling with purposive sampling type. The sample was 30 respondents. The instruments were interview for the history of drug breakup and patient treatment cards and observation and status of patient as the instruments of complications. Spearman Rho test results showed that value = 0.055 or more than α (0.05) which meant there was no correlation between the history of drug breakup with complications of tuberculosis. Based on this study, it could be concluded that the complications of tuberculosis that occur not only because of drug breakup factors but can be due to the spread of increasingly widespread germ infections, the immune system of the sufferers who are lacking, tuberculosis concomitant diseases, nutritional status of tuberculosis sufferers, and also knowledge from TB sufferers who lack the awareness to maintain health.
