Social media has become important in daily life, especially to help students learn, thanks to the advancement of information and communication technology in the digital era. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of social media use on the learning outcomes of 1st semester students of the Information Technology Study Program at the University of Nias. With a quantitative approach and survey method, this study collected data from 47 respondents through a questionnaire to measure the duration of social media use and its impact on students' learning focus. Data analysis was carried out using a correlation test to determine the relationship between variables of social media use and learning concentration. The results showed that although the majority of students used social media for only 1-2 hours per day, there was little significant disruption, with a correlation value of 0.221. Based on these findings, it is recommended that students manage the time they use social media wisely to optimize the quality of learning. This research also emphasizes the importance of digital literacy so that social media can be used as a tool that supports education, not an obstacle.

This research aims to analyze the level of student satisfaction with the mobile banking application. Along with the rapid development of digital technology, mobile banking applications are increasingly in demand, especially by students who prioritize ease in financial transactions. This research was conducted on students at Nias University to find out the extent to which the mobile banking application meets their expectations and needs. Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 300 students who actively used the mobile banking application. The research results show that the majority of students are satisfied with the ease of use and speed of transactions offered by the mobile banking application. However, several concerns were found regarding security features, indicating the need for improvements to the security aspects of the application.

The era of big data has transformed the landscape of various industries and disciplines, creating a demand for professionals capable of analyzing and interpreting data on a large scale. This article explores the crucial role of statistics as a fundamental skill for students in the big data era. Through a comprehensive literature review and case study analysis, this research demonstrates how mastery of statistics can provide a competitive advantage for students in an increasingly data-driven job market. Findings indicate that students with strong statistical skills have broader career opportunities and better abilities in data-driven decision making. This article also highlights the importance of integrating contextual and project-based statistics education in higher education curricula to prepare students for the challenges of the big data era.

This meta-analysis examines the factors influencing academic stress levels among Indonesian university students. Through a systematic analysis of 63 studies published between 2014-2024, encompassing 31,847 students from various regions in Indonesia, we investigated the multidimensional nature of academic stress and its contributing factors. Using comprehensive statistical methods including random-effects modeling and moderator analysis, we identified significant correlations between academic stress and various predictors, with academic workload (r = 0.56, p < 0.001) and environmental factors (r = 0.48, p < 0.001) emerging as the strongest contributors. The findings provide crucial insights for developing targeted interventions and support systems within Indonesian higher education institutions.

This systematic review examines the relationship between sleep duration and academic performance among university students. Through a comprehensive analysis of 52 studies published between 2014-2024, involving 43,675 students across 31 countries, we investigated the complex interactions between sleep patterns and academic achievement. Using the PRISMA methodology and quality assessment tools, we analyzed various aspects of sleep duration, including weekday/weekend patterns, sleep quality, and their impact on cognitive performance and academic outcomes. Results demonstrate a significant correlation between optimal sleep duration (7-9 hours) and improved academic performance (r = 0.48, p < 0.001), with notable variations across different academic disciplines and study environments. The findings highlight the critical role of sleep hygiene in academic success and provide evidence-based recommendations for university health policies and student wellness programs.

This meta-analysis examines the relationship between digital media usage and student learning patterns in higher education. Through a systematic review of 47 studies published between 2014-2024, encompassing 28,465 students across 23 countries, we analyzed the multifaceted impact of digital media consumption on academic learning behaviors. The study employed a random-effects model and moderator analysis to investigate various aspects of digital media usage, including social media, educational platforms, and entertainment consumption. Results indicate a significant correlation (r = 0.42, p < 0.001) between digital media usage patterns and changes in student learning behaviors, with notable variations across different types of digital media and academic disciplines. The findings suggest that while moderate digital media usage can enhance learning engagement, excessive consumption may lead to decreased academic performance and altered study patterns. This meta-analysis provides crucial insights for educational institutions and policymakers in developing digital media integration strategies for higher education.

E-commerce is a trading activity carried out online by utilizing the internet in its business. This research aims to analyze information system security in e-commerce companies in Indonesia. With the rapid growth of the e-commerce industry, data and information security has become a crucial issue that needs to be addressed by business people. The research methods used include qualitative analysis and surveys of several leading e-commerce companies. The research results show that many companies still face challenges in protecting customer data, managing the risk of cyber attacks, and complying with data security regulations. Apart from that, awareness of the importance of information security also needs to be increased among employees. This research is expected to provide practical recommendations for improving information system security in e-commerce companies in Indonesia.

This study aims to enhance college students' learning motivation through a student-centered learning approach. In higher education settings, learning motivation plays a crucial role in students' academic success. This research employs survey and interview methods to collect data on learning motivation before and after the implementation of the student-centered approach. The results indicate a significant increase in learning motivation among students who actively engage in the learning process. This conclusion suggests that a student-centered approach effectively fosters engagement and learning motivation. Recommendations for further development of this approach are also provided as guidance for future educators.

This study aims to analyze the relationship between critical thinking skills and students' academic achievement. Critical thinking skills are considered important in the learning process, because they allow students to analyze information, evaluate arguments, and make the right decisions. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The research sample consisted of 150 students from various study programs at a university. Data were collected through questionnaires to measure critical thinking skills and academic documents for academic achievement. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant positive relationship between critical thinking skills and academic achievement, where students with higher critical thinking skills tend to have better academic achievement. This finding indicates the need for the development of critical thinking skills in the higher education curriculum to improve students' academic achievement.

Teachers' and students' opinions about the use of icebreakers in the classroom are investigated in this study. By fostering an enjoyable and engaging learning environment, ice-breaking exercises help students become more motivated, focused, and involved in the process of learning. The findings reveal that ice-breaking positively impacts reducing boredom, alleviating stress, and fostering stronger emotional connections between teachers and students. This technique proves effective across various subjects, both in face-to-face and online classes, helping students to be more prepared and motivated in understanding the material. These results underscore the importance of teacher creativity in selecting innovative teaching methods to optimally achieve learning objectives.
