Abstract

This research aims at disclosing deeply and describing things that are enable the customers to feel satisfied with the education services provided by Sekolah Highscope Indonesia. In analyzing the data, three main theories were chosen, namely Service Dominant Logic, Total Quality Management, and Factors of Customer Satisfaction. The research methodology chosen was Qualitative, in which interviews, participatory observation, and document study were done. The important findings of this research are: (1) the English language competence of Sekolah Highscope Indonesia graduates, (2) the modern and unique  education concept, (3) the graduates (alumni) who are competitive globally, (4) the responsiveness of the school management and teachers when there is complaint or concern, (5) the core values (respect, responsibility, excellence, and integrity) developed and internalized for the students, (6) parents regarded as partners, and (7) the teachers’ high competence. Based on these study results, practical recommendations can be given to SHI, i.e. these very good things should be maintained and implemented consistently. As for social science recommendations, if possible the research in the future should use quantitative methodology, so that the results will probably reflect customer’s satisfaction better since quantitative research use more research population sampling

Abstract

This study offers an original contribution by integrating a systematic perspective to identify multidimensional causes of fatal work accidents in the mining sector, particularly at PT. Freeport Indonesia. The objective of this research is to analyze the underlying factors contributing to fatal accidents by examining human, technical, and environmental dimensions. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, synthesizing recent and relevant scholarly sources to provide a comprehensive understanding of accident causation. The empirical findings reveal that fatal incidents are not caused by a single factor but rather by an interaction of safety procedure violations by workers (human factors), failures in ventilation systems and the absence of adequate gas detection tools (technical factors), as well as hazardous geological conditions that facilitate the accumulation of toxic gases (environmental factors). These findings highlight the complexity of occupational safety risks in mining operations. The implications of this study emphasize the need for integrated safety management, including enhanced worker training, technological system improvements, proactive environmental risk mitigation, and the strengthening of organizational safety culture to prevent future accidents.

Abstract

Tourism-based Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a crucial role in supporting local economies in coastal destinations such as Carita Beach, Indonesia. Despite their economic potential, these enterprises face significant uncertainty due to fluctuating tourist arrivals and seasonal demand patterns. The originality of this study lies in applying a simplified Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) framework tailored to small-scale, tourism-based MSMEs using empirical field data. This study aims to analyze the cost and benefit structure and evaluate the economic feasibility of MSME development in the tourism sector. The research was conducted on February 15–17, 2026, using an economic managerial approach, with data collected through observations and in-depth interviews involving 50 MSME actors across culinary, rental, and tourism service sectors. The empirical results reveal that all business categories demonstrate a Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) greater than 1, indicating economic feasibility. Specifically, rental MSMEs show the highest BCR (1.48), followed by tourism services (1.45) and culinary MSMEs (1.23). However, variations in cost structures and dependency on tourist flows influence the level of profitability and resilience. The findings imply that strengthening cost efficiency, improving basic financial recording practices, and adopting adaptive business strategies are essential to enhance the sustainability of MSMEs in tourism-dependent areas.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of inconsistent teacher performance at Sekolah Islam Harapan Ibu (SIHI), where the results of the 2024–2025 internal evaluation showed a performance score in the “Fairly Good” category (3.8), with the lowest scores in the areas of instructional innovation (3.6) and professional participation (3.4). There is a gap where long tenure does not guarantee productivity, as well as the emergence of symptoms of burnout and stagnation in teaching methods among senior teachers. This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of teaching experience and organizational culture on teacher performance, as well as to test the role of work motivation as a mediating variable in this relationship. This explanatory quantitative study employed a census sampling technique involving 87 teachers at SIHI South Jakarta. Data were collected via a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS 4 software. Testing was conducted through evaluation of the outer model (validity/reliability) and the inner model (R-Square, Q-Square, and bootstrapping). The results of the testing showed that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance (β=0.365; p=0.000) and work motivation (β=0.729; p=0.000). Work motivation was also found to significantly influence performance (β=0.269; p=0.002) and acted as a partial mediator (mediation coefficient=0.196). Conversely, teaching experience does not significantly influence performance (p=0.257) or work motivation (p=0.052). This model exhibits very strong explanatory power with an R-Square value of 0.873 for teacher performance. Schools are advised not to use seniority as the primary parameter in performance evaluations but rather to focus on strengthening an organizational culture based on Islamic values and integrity. Practically, the foundation needs to implement a “Culture Maintenance Program” to uphold religious values, as well as design a periodic feedback system regarding student progress to stimulate teachers' intrinsic motivation.

Abstract

Zakat is a fundamental instrument of Islamic economics with significant potential for poverty alleviation and community empowerment. Despite the growing body of research on zakat’s social-economic roles, there remains a research gap regarding the specific mechanisms through which zakat programs influence the consumption behavior transformation of mustahik across diverse Muslim-majority contexts. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of zakat as an instrument for civil society empowerment in changing mustahik consumption behavior through a systematic literature review. It also identifies key factors influencing the success of zakat programs in establishing more productive and sustainable consumption patterns. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with PRISMA protocol was applied. Data were sourced from articles published during 2013–2023 in international databases including Emerald Insight, Google Scholar, and DOAJ. Of 47 articles initially identified, 11 were selected through rigorous inclusion criteria for in-depth thematic analysis. The findings reveal that zakat significantly impacts mustahik consumption behavior by shifting patterns from consumptive to productive. Key success factors include program quality, financial literacy, sustained mentoring, institutional governance, and local cultural context. This study contributes a novel synthesis framework linking zakat governance dimensions with behavioral transformation outcomes, providing evidence-based policy recommendations for zakat institutions.

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent issue of monotonous instructional practices in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in higher education, which tend to emphasize surface-level cognitive achievement without effectively engaging students’ subconscious dimensions. From an educational management perspective, this condition reflects limitations in instructional planning, lecturer readiness, and the systematic implementation of innovative learning models. The objective of this research is twofold: (1) to analyze existing learning conditions in the PAI Study Program, and (2) to develop a hypnoteaching-based learning model that is valid, effective, and practical within a structured management framework. This study adopts a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which integrates key managerial functions, including planning (analysis and design of the model), organizing (lecturer preparedness and instructional system support), implementation (integration of the model into classroom practice), and evaluation (validation and effectiveness testing as part of quality control). The findings indicate that the developed model achieved a high level of validity, with expert validation reaching 93%, categorized as “very valid.” In the implementation stage, the model proved to be more effective than conventional lecture-based methods, significantly enhancing students’ learning interest, engagement, and active participation. Moreover, the model contributes to a more conducive and psychologically supportive learning environment. From a management standpoint, the hypnoteaching approach supports lecturers in applying structured, persuasive communication strategies while strengthening institutional efforts in improving instructional quality and governance. It also facilitates the internalization of Islamic values through a more holistic and student-centered learning process. In conclusion, this study offers a strategic contribution to educational management by providing a systematic and applicable framework for planning, implementing, and evaluating innovative learning models in higher education
