Abstract

GSJA Anugerah Ngareanak terdapat ibadah remaja yang diikuti 15-25 anak dan hanya diiringi oleh gitar akustik, tanpa adanya variasi musikal yang dapat menghidupkan ibadah. Hal tersebut menyebabkan kurangnya kesempatan bagi remaja-remaja untuk menikmati lagu-lagu dalam ibadah tersebut. Dari fenomena tersebut muncullah minat peneliti untuk menggali bentuk kreativitas yang ada dalam ibadah remaja di GSJA Anugrah Ngareanak . Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Dalam metode kualitatif peneliti berperan penting sebagai instrumen. Untuk memperoleh data peneliti melakukan wawancara kepada beberapa narasumber yang berkaitan dengan persoalan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan ditemukan bahwa musik iringan yang dikembangkan secara kreatif pada remaja mampu memberikan semangat dan antusias kepada remaja dalam ibadah. Selain itu ditemukan fakta, bahwa regenerasi pemain musik sangat dibutuhkan oleh setiap gereja pada zaman sekarang. Ibadah perlu dipersiapkan dengan baik melalui latihan, pelatihan dan mentoring, sehingga pengembangan kreativitas musik dalam ibadah remaja dapat dimaksimalkan.   Abstract GSJA Anugrah Ngareanak has a youth service attended by 15-25 children and is only accompanied by an acoustic guitar, without any musical variations that can enliven the service. This causes a lack of opportunities for teenagers to enjoy the songs in the service. From this phenomenon, the researcher's interest arose to explore the form of creativity in youth worship at GSJA Anugrah Ngareanak. This study uses a qualitative research method. In the qualitative method, the researcher plays an important role as an instrument. To obtain data, the researcher conducted interviews with several sources related to the research problem. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was found that the accompanying music that was developed creatively in teenagers was able to provide enthusiasm and enthusiasm to teenagers in worship. In addition, it was found that the regeneration of musicians is very much needed by every church today. Worship needs to be well prepared through practice, training and mentoring, so that the development of musical creativity in youth worship can be maximized.

Abstract

Gembala Sidang kerap-kali melakukan visitasi kepada jemaat, menyediakan pelayanan ibadah komsel, Gereja juga menyediakan fasilitas antar jemput gar jemaat bisa datang beribadah. Tetapi antusias jemaat datang beribadah cenderung rendah, hanya beberapa jemaat saja yang memiliki antusias dalam beribadah. Peneliti ingin mengetahui sejauh mana antusiasme jemaat dalam beribadah pada gereja perintisan Bethel Tabernakel Church of Christ Alfa Omega East Ungaran Leyangan. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi langsung di lapangan serta wawancara dengan jemaat yang terkait.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan kurangnya minat dalam beribadah, antara lain: sebagian besar jemaat masih memprioritaskan pekerjaan dibandingkan ibadah, serta adanya jemaat yang masih terikat pada dosa, seperti kecanduan bermain gim daring. Hal ini berdampak pada rendahnya semangat dalam beribadah dan melupakan pentingnya persekutuan.   Abstract The Senior Pastor frequently conducts visitations to church members, provides small group worship services (komsel), and the church also offers transportation facilities to help members attend services. However, the congregation’s enthusiasm for attending worship services tends to be low, with only a few members showing genuine enthusiasm. This study aims to examine the level of worship enthusiasm among the congregation of the pioneering church, Bethel Tabernacle Church of Christ Alfa Omega East Ungaran Leyangan. The researcher employed a descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through direct field observation and interviews with selected church members. The findings reveal several factors contributing to the lack of worship interest, including the tendency of most members to prioritize work over worship and some members remaining bound by sin, such as addiction to online gaming. These factors have led to a decline in worship motivation and a loss of appreciation for the importance of fellowship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena pertumbuhan jemaat di Gereja Beth-El Tabernakel Kristus Alfa Omega (GBT KAO) Boja yang terjadi tanpa aktivitas penginjilan formal, baik oleh hamba Tuhan maupun jemaat. Hal ini mendorong peneliti untuk menyelidiki faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan gereja, meskipun secara teori penginjilan merupakan unsur utama dalam pertumbuhan gereja secara kuantitatif dan pelaksanaan Amanat Agung. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi pertumbuhan gereja di GBT KAO Boja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan gereja dipengaruhi oleh penginjilan, kepemimpinan yang memberdayakan, serta keterlibatan aktif jemaat dalam pelayanan, dengan keseimbangan antara pertumbuhan kualitas dan kuantitas sebagai kunci pertumbuhan gereja yang sehat dan berkelanjutan.   Abstract This research is motivated by the phenomenon of congregation growth at the Beth-El Tabernacle Church of Christ Alpha Omega (GBT KAO) Boja, which occurred without any formal evangelistic activities by either the pastors or the congregation. This condition prompted the researcher to investigate other factors influencing church growth, even though, in theory, evangelism is considered a primary element in quantitative church growth and the fulfillment of the Great Commission. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence church growth at GBT KAO Boja. A qualitative approach was employed using a descriptive study method through observation, in-depth interviews, and data analysis. The findings indicate that church growth is influenced by evangelism, empowering leadership, and active congregational involvement in ministry, with a balance between qualitative and quantitative growth being the key to a healthy and sustainable church.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari pemahaman bahwa pertumbuhan gereja yang sehat membutuhkan integrasi antara penginjilan, pemuridan, dan perintisan jemaat baru. Fokus penelitian diarahkan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan perintisan gereja, khususnya di GBT KAO Gajahmada Semarang, melalui kekuatan doa, kelompok sel, pemuridan, manajemen sumber daya manusia, serta pemberitaan Injil yang efektif dan Alkitabiah. Penelitian ini bertujuan menemukan elemen-elemen kunci yang mendorong keberhasilan pertumbuhan gereja lokal. Metode penelitian kualitatif digunakan untuk menggali informasi secara mendalam dan menghasilkan temuan yang tidak dapat dicapai melalui pendekatan statistik. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pertumbuhan gereja yang sehat dan berkelanjutan sangat dipengaruhi oleh keterpaduan antara doa, komunitas sel, pemberitaan Injil, dan pemuridan sebagai strategi terpadu dalam menjawab tantangan zaman pasca-pandemi.   Abstract This study is based on the understanding that healthy church growth requires an integration of evangelism, discipleship, and the planting of new congregations. The research focuses on identifying the factors that influence the success of church planting, particularly at GBT KAO Gajahmada Semarang, through the power of prayer, cell groups, discipleship, human resource management, and effective, biblical evangelism. The aim of this study is to discover the key elements that drive the successful growth of a local church. A qualitative research method was employed to explore in-depth information and generate findings that could not be obtained through statistical procedures. The results conclude that healthy and sustainable church growth is strongly influenced by the integration of prayer, cell communities, evangelism, and discipleship as a holistic strategy to address the challenges of the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

Generasi muda sebagai generasi penerus gereja diharapkan dapat memiliki karakter dan pengetahuan yang baik dalam dunia pelayanan termasuk pelayanan musik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengetahuan anggota youth di GIA Genuk Indah Semarang tentang teknik vokal. Faktor penyebab peserta anggota youth di GIA Genuk Indah Semarang belum menguasai teknik vokal, karena anggota youth tidak berasal dari jurusan musik, sehingga pengetahuan dan pemahaman teknik vokal masih kurang, tetapi mereka membutuhkan kemampuan teknik vokal untuk persiapan dalam pelayanan worship leader dan singer. Hasil pembelajaran teknik vokal pada youth di GIA Genuk Indah Semarang, terjadi perubahan pada peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran ini. Pembelajaran ini dibagi menjadi dua tahap yaitu tahap persiapan dan tahap pelaksanaan. Kurangnya orang yang berkompeten dalam bidang musik menjadi salah satu sebab kurang efektifnya pembelajaran vokal. Kesimpulannya banyak yang harus diperbaiki dalam pelatihan vokal guna meningkatkan sumber daya manusia.   Abstract The young generation as the next generation of the church is expected to have good character and knowledge in the world of service including music service. This study aims to determine how much knowledge of youth members at GIA Genuk Indah Semarang about vocal techniques. The factors causing youth members at GIA Genuk Indah Semarang not to master vocal techniques, because youth members do not come from music majors, so their knowledge and understanding of vocal techniques are still lacking, but they need vocal technique skills to prepare for worship leader and singer services. The results of vocal technique learning for youth at GIA Genuk Indah Semarang, there were changes in students who took part in this learning. This learning is divided into two stages, namely the preparation stage and the implementation stage. The lack of competent people in the field of music is one of the reasons for the ineffectiveness of vocal learning. The conclusion is that there are many things that need to be improved in vocal training in order to improve human resources.

Abstract

Kurikulum kelas kecil merupakan rencana belajar yang diterapkan bagi anak-anak Sekolah Minggu usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang kurikulum tematik dengan pendekatan "Yesus Sahabatku dan Terangku", guna mengembangkan kepekaan rohani dan karakter Kristiani sejak usia dini. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana merancang kurikulum kelas kecil yang efektif dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak-anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dan observasi partisipatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rancangan kurikulum tematik dengan pendekatan relasional dan naratif yang menekankan nilai persahabatan dengan Yesus dan menjadi terang di tengah dunia. Rancangan kurikulum yang telah dihasilkan diharapkan dapat diterapkan secara praktis dan efektif dalam proses pembelajaran Sekolah Minggu kelas kecil.   Abstract The  small class curriculum is a learning plan implemented for early childhood Sunday School students. This study aims to design a thematic curriculum using the approach “Jesus, My Friend and My Light,” in order to develop spiritual sensitivity and Christian character from an early age. The research problem addressed in this study is how to design an effective curriculum for small classes that meets the developmental needs of young children. The method used in this research includes literature review and participatory observation. The result of the study is a thematic curriculum design that adopts a relational and narrative approach, emphasizing the values of friendship with Jesus and being a light in the world. This curriculum is expected to be applied practically and effectively in the teaching and learning process of small class Sunday School.

Abstract

The story of Saul’s consultation with a medium in 1 Samuel 28:3–20 is one of the most controversial passages in the Old Testament, particularly concerning the identity of the spirit that appeared at Endor. This practice is known in Greek as necromancy. According to the Torah, such practices are condemned as an abomination before God (Deut. 18:10–18) and bring His wrath upon those who perform them. This study aims to provide a theological analysis of the identity of the spirit in this passage and to examine various theological perspectives surrounding it. The research employs a qualitative method with a biblical exegesis and theological analysis approach, including a close reading of the biblical text, theological literature review, and comparative interpretation from different Christian theological traditions. Based on the biblical context and theological principles, this study concludes that the spirit at Endor is most consistently understood as a deceptive demonic manifestation imitating Samuel, aligning with the Bible’s firm prohibition against necromancy.

Abstract

This study examines the existence and arrangement of keroncong music in worship at Gereja Kristen Muria Indonesia (GKMI) Brangkongan during the period 2024-2025. The aim is to understand the extent to which keroncong music exists and how the arrangement is applied in the context of worship in the church. Specifically, this study aims to analyze the arrangement and existence of keroncong music at GKMI Brangkongan with a focus on keroncong music accompaniment. In addition, this study also aims to evaluate the skills of keroncong musicians and understand how keroncong music exists in GKMI Brangkongan.The method used in this study is qualitative, where researchers conduct direct observations in the field, and use recording, photography, and interviews as data collection methods. The data obtained are then analyzed to draw conclusions regarding the existence and presence of keroncong music. The results of the study indicate that this analysis is very important in helping keroncong players improve their skills and understand the existence of keroncong music at GKMI Brangkongan. This study provides a better understanding of the needs and understanding of the congregation regarding the existence of keroncong music and serves as a benchmark for future development.

Abstract

This study critically examines the syncretism of the Christian faith among the Ono Niha Tribe in GBT KAO Afulu, particularly regarding the belief in ancestral spirits (Malaika Zinomate). Using a qualitative method involving interviews with church and community leaders, along with literature and biblical studies, the research reveals a blend of Christian teachings with local traditions that conflict with biblical doctrine. Practices such as death rituals and prayers to ancestors hinder the congregation’s spiritual growth and obscure core Christian teachings. The study affirms the biblical truth that there is no communication between the living and the dead and highlights the need for teaching grounded in Scripture. It recommends a contextual approach that filters, rather than rejects, local culture through the lens of the Gospel, alongside holistic evangelism and biblical instruction to overcome syncretism and foster true spiritual transformation. Abstract

Gereja Beth-El Tabernakel Kristus Alfa Omega Tirtoyoso, due to the presumed unavailability of a curriculum, only has a general theme prepared by the church leaders, while the specific themes for each meeting are individually prepared by the serving ministers. Based on this problem, the research question is formulated as follows: How appropriate is the “Penuh Kasih” (Full of Love) curriculum design for the women's ministry at Gereja Beth-El Tabernakel Kristus Alfa Omega Tirtoyoso. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the appropriateness of the “Penuh Kasih” curriculum design for the women’s ministry at Gereja Beth-El Tabernakel Kristus Alfa Omega Tirtoyoso. This research employs a mixed-methods approach using a sequential explanatory model, combining both quantitative and qualitative data. The type of research used is Level 1 Research and Development (R&D), aiming to produce a curriculum design as the final product. The result of this study is the “Penuh Kasih” curriculum design, which was quantitatively assessed by 20 experts with excellent results and qualitatively reviewed through interviews with 10 experts. The experts concluded that the curriculum is well-structured and relevant.
