Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning mathematics based on the digital application "Kresna" on number recognition and arithmetic operation ability in mathematics subjects for mild mental retardation at the elementary school level. The research subjects were 3 light mild mental retardation students at the elementary school level. The design of this study was an experimental one group pretest and posttest. The purpose of the pretest was to determine the initial ability of the research subject students and as a comparison group, while the posttest was carried out with the aim of knowing the final ability of the research subject after the treatment was given. The implementation of the treatment carried out in this study was to provide learning using the Krishna digital application which was carried out for 4 face-to-face with. Learning is done by guiding and helping students to enter the Kresna application and solve every problem that exists at each level (easy, medium, and difficult) number recognition and arithmetic operations which include addition, subtraction and multiplication. The researcher also helps students in working on the story problem models contained in social experiences that discuss addition and subtraction, as well as on the quiz feature, which is a feature that discusses a review of the collection of material from the previous feature. Instruments for measuring pretest and posttest are arranged in the form of questions based on the grid of learning materials contained in each feature in the Kresna application. The results of statistical tests using t-test showed that the average pretest was 73,333 and the average posttest was 93,3333 and p = 0,074. Based on the results of the t-test, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between the achievement of understanding numbers and the ability of arithmetic operations on the research subjects. However, when viewed from the pretest and posttest scores, each individual research subject showed an increase and exceeded the learning mastery value limit (score 70). Suggestions for further researchers are expected to create digital application-based learning media with 3-dimensional images or videos, so that it can make it easier for elementary school students to have more concrete knowledge and increase the number of meetings and increase the number of research subjects.

Abstract

Compiling a final project or thesis is one of the requirements that must be met by every final- year student who wants to complete his lecture studies. Not infrequently during the process of completing the final project there are several obstacles which if not handled properly will trigger stress to an uncontrollable situation. This needs to be anticipated from every student by having an optimistic attitude in him. This study intends to examine how the influence of self-acceptance on the optimism of final year students who are writing a thesis. Researchers suspect that there is a significant influence between self-acceptance and optimism of final year students. In this study, there were 105 final year students who were writing a thesis, including 17 men and 88 women. Each respondent filled out two research instruments consisting of the Child and Adolescent Survey of Self-Acceptance (2012) and Life Orientation Test-Revised (1994). Based on the results of a simple regression test with SPSS Statistics 26 ver, it was obtained that the R square coefficient was 0.141, the beta coefficient was 0.95, and the probability value was 0.000 (p <0.01) which showed that there was a contribution of self-acceptance to optimism of 14.1%. and 85.9% contribution of other variables unknown to the researcher. It also shows that the researcher accepts the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) and rejects the Null Hypothesis (H0), which means that there is a significant positive effect between self-acceptance and optimism for final year students. This shows that the higher the student's self-acceptance, the higher the optimism they have.

Abstract

The purpose of OFQS (Online Friendship Quality Scale) creation is to measure online friendship quality between 18-24 years old college students. It could also facilitate users to evaluate friendship quality dynamics, then enhance their friendship quality. The six domains of friendship are Validation and Caring, Conflict and Betrayal, Conflict and Resolution, Companionship and Recreation, Help and Guidance, and Intimate Exchange (Asher & Parker, 1993). OFQS is a self-report questionnaire that scales from (1) not at all like me to (5) very much like me. OFQS was developed during 2021 using convenience sampling. Respondents during the development process are FPUAJ college students that do online interaction with their best friends, and currently 18-24 years old (number of respondents = 219, average (M) age of respondents = 19.51, dan SD of respondents age = 1.23). Item analysis is done through Spearman corrected item total correlation and Mann-Whitney U-test that eliminates 3 out of 54 items. Companionship and Recreation domain is the only domain that is not valid. Reliability test found that the Cronbach alpha’s value is reliable with a score of 0,851. People who complete this test will get a description of their friendship quality for every domain that comes in three categories (Good, Enough, and Not Good). Scoring categories are based on norm-referenced standardization procedures. Further research is needed for other demographics such as workers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of anonymity and online disinhibition on positive mental health. The subjects in this study were social media users (Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with an age range of 13-18 years, with a total of 117 respondents consisting of 30 men and 87 women. This study uses a quantitative research design that is distributed through an online questionnaire, using a purposive sampling technique. There are three instruments in this study, namely; (1) the anonymity scale was developed by Lee, Choi and Kim which was adapted from Chaerunnisa by using the dimensions developed by Pfitzmann and Hansen namely unlinkability, unobservability and pseudonymity to see the level of anonymity. Consists of 12 favorable items and 6 unfavorable items. (2) the online disinhibition effect scale that has been adapted from Farikhah by using aspects that affect online disinhibition proposed by John Suller namely Dissociative Anonymity, Invisibility, Asynchronicity, Solipsistic Introjection, Dissociative Imagination, and Authority Minimization. With the number of items as many as 29 favorite items. (3) the positive mental health scale developed by Lukat et al is composed of a combination of four mental health measuring tools which is then simplified into 9 statement items. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Multiple Linear Regression test. The results of the multiple linear regression analysis show the conclusion that there is a significant effect between anonymity and online disinhibition on positive mental health in social media users (Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) with a probability value of 0.036 below 0.05 (P<0.05), and the coefficient of R square is 0.057. So this shows the contribution of anonymity and online disinhibition to positive mental health by 5.7% and 94.3% the contribution of other variables unknown to the researcher. The existence of this research is expected to contribute to the development of education related to positive mental health in individual social media users.
