Abstract

In general, this study aims to see if there is a relationship between Instagram addiction and life satisfaction at the age of emerging adulthood stages. One of the most age ranges of Instagram users is 18-25 years, which is entered into the stage of emerging adulthood. Emerging adulthood is in the mid-stage between late adolescence and early adulthood. Previous research has found that at this stage individuals tend to be faced with higher self-instability than other age groups and find it harder to feel life satisfaction. Life satisfaction itself is influenced by various factors, one of which is related to the use of social media, especially Instagram. It was found that social media users tend to be less satisfied with themselves because they tend to compare themselves to people they see on social media, thus affecting life dissatisfaction in individuals. Participants in the study were 155 respondents aged 18-25 years who used Instagram for at least 3 hours per day. The measuring instruments used are TIAS (The Instagram Addiction Scale) to measure Instagram addiction and SWLS (Satisfaction with Life Scale) to measure life satisfaction. Based on the results of statistical analysis using statistical calculations with the help of Jamovi software application version 1.6 obtained results that there is no significant relationship between Instagram Addiction and Life Satisfaction at the stage of emerging adulthood age that uses Instagram social media with a minimum of 3 hours per day. One factor is that the Instagram Addiction variable requires a diagnosis from the clinical so that it is not only focused on the length of time respondents open Instagram. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference for providing information related to the importance of understanding Instagram addiction with life satisfaction at the emerging adulthood age stage.

Abstract

Dalam rangka melakukan pengurangan persebaran virus covid-19 di Indonesia, pemerintah menetapkan pelaksanaan vaksinasi covid-19 bagi masyarakat. Munculnya kewajiban melaksanakan vaksin covid-19 bagi masyarakat tentunya menimbulkan sikap percaya dan tidak percaya oleh masyarakat terhadap vaksin covid-19. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui alasan masyarakat percaya terhadap vaksin covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan indigenous psikologi. Jumlah partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 167 partisipan yang terdiri dari 31 partisipan laki-laki dan 136 partisipan perempuan. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau yang telah mengisi kuisioner pertanyaan terbuka secara online. Data dikumpulkan dan dianalisis menggunakan content analysis yang dikategorisasi melalui tahapan open coded, axial coded, dan selective coded. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan program Statistical Product and Service Solition(SPSS) V. 23. IBM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa alasan masyarakat percaya terhadap vaksin covid-19 seperti: karna adanya informasi positif( 50,3%), Bermanfaat (21,6%) , Aman (26,3%), dan kebijakan pemerintah (1,8%).

Abstract

Kepatuhan masyarakat Jawa ditemukan lebih tinggi daripada masyarakat Luar Jawa. Studi empiris mengungkapkan bahwa empati sebagai budaya tepa selira pada masyarakat Jawa dikatakan memiliki hubungan dengan kepatuhan (compliance) menjalankan protokol kesehatan selama pandemi Covid-19. Responden penelitian adalah masyarakat suku Jawa yang sedang berdomisili di salah satu dari lima provinsi teratas dengan kasus harian tertinggi individu yang terpapar Covid-19 yaitu Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Jawa Tengah, dan Jawa Timur (N = 308). Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah skala Toronto Empathy Questionnaire (TEQ) milik Spreng. dkk (2009) dan Compliance with Covid-19 Prevention Guidelines Scale milik Plohl dan Musil (2021). Penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment dengan hasil p = ,045 dan R = ,097. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara empati dengan kepatuhan (compliance) menjalankan protokol kesehatan selama pandemi Covid-19 dengan hubungan yang sangat rendah yaitu sebesar 0,94% terhadap kepatuhan (compliance).

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic demands many changes, including the implementation of an online learning system. This situation adds to the pressure thus increasing the occurrence of academic burnout. Academic burnout is a feeling of tiredness experienced by individuals when faced with various kinds of excessive demands, has an uninterested attitude towards the tasks given in lectures, and has a feeling that he is incompetent as a student. This study uses a quantitative approach, aiming to determine the relationship between personality hardiness and academic burnout in students undergoing online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study involved 55 male and female student respondents from a number of universities in Jakarta who were currently undergoing or had undergone online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic using a purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The scale used to measure the hardiness personality variable is the Dispositional Resilience Scale (DRS-15) developed by Hystad et.al (2010) (α = .725), and the academic burnout variable is measured using the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Student Survey (MBI-SS). ) by Schaufeli, et al (2007) (α = .880). Based on the results of data analysis using Pearson correlation, it shows that there is a significant negative relationship between personality hardiness and academic burnout in students undergoing online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic with a correlation coefficient value of -0,288 (p = 0,033). This means that the higher the hardiness personality, the lower the academic burnout, and vice versa. Thus, this study accepts the alternative hypothesis (Ha) and rejects the null hypothesis (H0). Theoretically, it is hoped that this research will contribute to science in the field of educational psychology regarding hardiness personality and academic burnout for students during the pandemic, especially in Jakarta. Meanwhile, practically it is hoped that it can help students who are vulnerable to academic burnout and are undergoing online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic to be able to develop a hardiness personality to avoid academic burnout.

Abstract

Resilience in maintaining the memorization of the Koran during the Covid 19 pandemic among young DQM alumni alumni in terms of religiosity and achievement in memorizing the Koran is the goal of this research. Memorizing the Al-Qur'an for DQM (Darul Qur'an Mulia) students while in Islamic boarding schools get many convenience facilities. Problems occur when they become alumni. There are no special room facilities and friends who memorize the Al-Qur'an together, there are no ustad/ustadzah who guide or help during murojaah. Especially during the Covid 19 pandemic. There was a closure of tahfidz institutions. On the other hand, alumni of DQM students have a lot of activities such as working or studying. Resilience in a lot of literature is the key to success during the covid 19 pandemic. Factors that are suspected of strengthening the resilience of DQM alumni students include Religiosity and achievement in the number of memorization of the Qur'an by DQM alumni students. The participants were 130 youth alumni of DQM alumni (age 17-25 years). Participants were obtained by accidental sampling. Resilience was measured using the CD-RISC measuring instrument from Connor and Davidson. Religiosity is measured using the Centrality of Religiousity Scale (CSR) from Huber, S and Huber, W.O. Meanwhile, the achievement of memorizing the Al-Qur'an was obtained from the large number of DQM students' alumni memorizing. The analysis technique uses multiple regression. The results found that there was (1) a fairly strong correlation of the three variables of religiosity, achievement in memorizing the Koran with resilience with a value of R = 0.547. And R2 = 29.9. with a significant value of religiosity for resilience of P <0.05 with a Beta of = 81.7. (2) whereas the achievement of memorizing the Qur'an for resilience has a P value > 0.05. with Beta = 22.7. The conclusion is that there is a significant effect of religiosity and achievement on memorizing the Koran on the resilience of young DQM alumni alumni during the Covid 19 pandemic. Resilience is more influenced by religiosity than achievement by memorizing the number of Al-Qur'an
