Abstract

This study examines the influence of the work environment and work discipline on nurse performance, with motivation as a mediating variable, at “JIH” Hospital Yogyakarta. Nurses play a critical role in healthcare service delivery, making their performance a key determinant of hospital quality and patient satisfaction. Despite structured performance evaluations, challenges such as inconsistent responsiveness and disciplinary lapses remain. Previous research presents mixed findings on the effects of work environment and discipline, as well as the mediating role of motivation, suggesting the need for further empirical investigation within the unique context of sharia-based healthcare institutions. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data were collected from 76 permanent nurses selected through simple random sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that both work environment and work discipline have a positive and significant impact on nurse performance. Motivation significantly mediates these relationships, with work discipline contributing more strongly to motivational enhancement than the work environment. These findings highlight the importance of integrating effective disciplinary policies, supportive work environments, and strategic motivation management.

Abstract

In response to the challenges of digital transformation in higher education, this study examines the influence of workload, work motivation, and creativity on lecturer performance in the Management Department of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta. Amid increasing demands on academic staff to fulfill the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—teaching, research, and community service—understanding key performance drivers becomes crucial. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from all 55 lecturers via a census sampling method. Primary data sources included questionnaires, interviews, and observations, while secondary data were drawn from institutional records. The variables were operationalized using validated indicators and measured on a five-point Likert scale. Validity and reliability tests confirmed acceptable psychometric properties. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that workload, motivation, and creativity each exert a significant positive effect on lecturer performance (p < 0.05). Notably, the task-related workload indicator received the lowest average score, indicating challenges in balancing academic responsibilities. These findings highlight the importance of institutional interventions such as proportional task distribution, administrative support, and time management training to improve faculty outcomes. The study underscores the necessity for strategic human capital development that supports innovation, engagement, and sustainable academic performance in the digital era.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of green trust in the relationship between green perceived value and green brand image on green purchase intention within the eco-fashion industry in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Amid increasing environmental awareness and policy initiatives encouraging sustainable consumption, eco-fashion adoption remains low due to limited consumer trust and perceived environmental benefit. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, data were collected from 180 environmentally conscious individuals through a structured online questionnaire. The constructs—green perceived value, green brand image, green trust, and green purchase intention—were measured using validated instruments and analyzed via Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that both green perceived value and green brand image have a significant positive impact on green purchase intention and green trust. Furthermore, green trust mediates the effect of both independent variables on purchase intention, highlighting its central role in shaping consumer decisions in sustainable fashion contexts. These findings underscore the importance for eco-fashion brands to strengthen environmental value and credibility through transparent and ethical practices.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of corporate image, price, and word of mouth on repurchase decisions, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable, in the context of the heavy equipment material industry. Using a quantitative correlational design, the research was conducted on 100 purposively selected buyers of Stone Crusher Upoyo Mandiri Sejahtera in Sleman, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings reveal that corporate image and word of mouth significantly affect repurchase decisions, while price does not. Furthermore, although corporate image, price, and word of mouth positively influence customer satisfaction, satisfaction does not significantly impact repurchase behavior and fails to mediate any of the proposed relationships. These results underscore the unique dynamics of high-value B2B industrial purchasing behavior, where repurchase decisions are primarily driven by rational factors such as product life cycles, project requirements, and capital investment planning, rather than emotional constructs like satisfaction. Theoretically, this study contributes to the refinement of consumer behavior models by highlighting the limited mediating role of satisfaction in industrial contexts. Practically, it suggests that companies should focus on improving post-sale service responsiveness, pricing transparency, and strategic loyalty programs to enhance customer retention in cyclical and investment-intensive markets.

Abstract

This study investigates the mediating role of organizational innovation in the relationship between digital payment systems and business sustainability among creative Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Amidst the digital transformation trend, digital payment systems such as e-wallets, QRIS, and mobile banking have become critical tools for MSMEs to enhance efficiency and expand market reach. However, the sustainability of MSMEs remains challenged by limited technological adaptation, low digital literacy, and inefficiencies in operational management. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, this study collected data from 100 purposively sampled MSMEs that had adopted digital payment technologies. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine the relationships between digital payment systems, organizational innovation, and business sustainability. The results reveal that while digital payment systems exert a moderate direct effect on business sustainability, their indirect effect through organizational innovation is significantly stronger. The mediation analysis confirms that organizational innovation plays a complementary and substantial role in amplifying the impact of digitalization on long-term business performance. These findings highlight the necessity of integrating technological adoption with internal innovation strategies to achieve sustainable competitiveness. The study recommends increased institutional support to foster digital literacy and innovation capacity among MSMEs and calls for future research to explore additional mediating variables and sectoral comparisons using mixed methods.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Halal Supply Chain Integration (HSCI) on Quality Performance (QP) with Halal Production Practices (HPP) as a mediating variable, focusing on culinary SMEs operating in Pasar Gede Solo, Indonesia. Amid growing consumer awareness and regulatory requirements for halal compliance, the research explores whether HSCI directly improves QP or if the relationship is mediated by HPP. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, utilizing primary data collected from 52 SMEs through structured questionnaires. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS software to test the measurement and structural models, ensuring reliability and validity through composite analysis, convergent validity, and discriminant validity. The results indicate that HSCI does not have a direct significant effect on QP, suggesting that halal compliance in the supply chain alone is insufficient to enhance product quality. However, HSCI has a significant positive effect on HPP, demonstrating that strong integration within the halal supply chain reinforces the implementation of halal procedures. Conversely, HPP does not significantly affect QP and does not mediate the relationship between HSCI and QP. These findings emphasize the need for SMEs to combine halal assurance with quality management systems to improve competitiveness. Practical implications include the importance of supplier collaboration, technical support from regulators, and consumer education on halal and quality standards. Future research is recommended to include additional variables such as product innovation and customer satisfaction to better explain quality performance outcomes.
