Abstract

This research aims to explore the role of Pancasila as a basic framework in the development of scientific values in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative approach through literature study and descriptive survey. The research involved analyzing the perceptions of scientists, educators, and students towards the influence of Pancasila values in their scientific practices. The results showed that the majority of respondents (75%) recognized the importance of integrating Pancasila values, such as ethical responsibility, social justice, and national identity, into scientific activities. As many as 80% of respondents felt that these values promote transparency and integrity in research. However, the study also identified significant challenges, such as a lack of institutional support and pressure to meet global standards that often overlook local contexts. The conclusion of this study confirms that Pancasila can be a strong ethical foundation in scientific practice, encouraging scientists to consider the social and cultural impacts of their research. Implications of this study include the need for policies that support the integration of Pancasila values in education and scientific research to create a research ecosystem that is more inclusive, ethical, and relevant to the needs of Indonesian society.

Abstract

The G20 Summit, which this year will take place in Indonesia, namely in Bali, is the 17th meeting of the Group of 20 (G20). The Indonesian Presidency took place from 1 December 2021 until the Summit in the 4th Quarter of 2022. The G20 Summit itself is a major forum for international economic cooperation whose members are the countries with the largest economies in the world consisting of 19 countries and one European Union institution. By convening this meeting, it is estimated that domestic consumption will increase to 1.7 trillion and increase domestic GDP by 7.43 trillion. In addition, meetings in various cities will increase the enthusiasm of the tourism and service sectors as well as UMKM from the employment side. The G20 meeting is expected to absorb 33,000 workers in various sectors. This prediction will greatly excite the business world, especially for MSMEs, especially since there are special tax restrictions for UMKM. The Presidential held in Indonesia this year is a momentum for recovery from the economic and financial crisis due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This momentum must be utilized by local governments to serve as a promotional event for the world of tourism, especially regions that have special economic zones. When the tourism sector rises, it will have an impact on UMKM products that can be in demand in the market both on a national and international market scale, meaning that this G20 meeting has been successfully carried out and has a positive impact on UMKM players in Indonesia so that the economy in Indonesia can gradually recover. The holding of the G20 can contribute to an increase in foreign tourists up to 3.6 million tourists so that 600 to 700 thousand new jobs will be created in the culinary, fashion and craft sectors. Holding the G20 meeting in Bali itself can attract foreign tourists to collaborate in the field of UMKM products so that MSME products can be sold and sell well in international markets.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of social media in the construction of citizenship identity among students of the Social Studies Study Programme in the reform era. The transformation of information technology, especially the emergence and rapid development of social media, has influenced the way young people voice their identity and understand their position and responsibilities as citizens. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on Tadris Social Studies students at the Cyber State Islamic University Sheikh Nurjati Cirebon. The selection of informants was done purposively, namely those who actively use social media and show concern for social, political and civic issues. Data were collected through in-depth interview techniques and digital observation of students' behaviour and activities on social media platforms. The findings of this study indicate that social media does not solely function as a medium for entertainment and social interaction, but also as a space for learning and reflection that encourages the growth of critical attitudes and awareness of civic values. However, the existence of false information (hoaxes), hate speech and negative content still pose serious challenges that can hinder the process of citizenship identity formation. In this context, strengthening digital literacy is a strategic element that must be considered so that students are able to utilise the media.

Abstract

This study explores the role of local creativity in enhancing the competitiveness of Ciwaringin hand-written batik, a traditional Indonesian craft facing increasing challenges from mass-produced textiles and printed batik. Local creativity, encompassing unique design development, eco-friendly material utilization, and innovative marketing strategies, is recognized as a key driver of cultural preservation and economic growth within the creative industry. Employing a qualitative conceptual approach based on an extensive literature review, this research synthesizes theories and empirical findings from reputable sources to construct a comprehensive framework on how local creativity contributes to the resilience and differentiation of Ciwaringin batik in both local and global markets. The findings highlight that local creativity not only strengthens cultural identity but also serves as an adaptive and proactive strategy to meet contemporary consumer demands, particularly among younger generations who value authenticity and sustainability. Innovations in motif design, natural dyeing techniques, and digital marketing platforms collectively form an ecosystem that enhances market visibility and competitiveness. This study recommends structured capacity-building programs, cross-generational collaboration, and supportive public policies to ensure sustainable raw material supply chains and market expansion. Further research is suggested to examine the role of digital technologies, e-commerce models, and creative economy ecosystems in advancing the long-term sustainability and global positioning of traditional batik industries.
