Abstract

Academic fraud is a growing concern in higher education, particularly among students majoring in finance and accounting, who are expected to uphold high standards of integrity. This study aims to examine the influence of academic pressure, opportunity, and rationalization—components of the Fraud Triangle theory—on academic cheating behavior among students at the Bima College of Economics (STIE Bima). Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 170 undergraduate students in the Financial Management concentration using purposive sampling and an online questionnaire. The study employed multiple linear regression analysis with the support of SPSS version 27. The results indicate that academic pressure, opportunity, and rationalization each have a positive and statistically significant effect on academic fraud behavior. The model explains 61% of the variance in academic fraud, underscoring the critical role of psychological and contextual factors in shaping unethical academic practices. These findings highlight the need for stronger institutional controls, ethical education, and awareness programs to mitigate academic dishonesty. This study contributes to the limited body of literature applying the Fraud Triangle framework in academic settings, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Financial institutions play a crucial role in modern economic systems by facilitating financial intermediation, which involves mobilizing funds from surplus units and allocating them to deficit units. This process enhances capital allocation efficiency, supports investment activities, and contributes to sustainable economic growth. This study aims to examine the role of financial institutions in financial intermediation and analyze its impact on economic growth. The research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review (SLR) method, synthesizing recent empirical and theoretical studies published between 2021 and 2026, complemented by seminal works to strengthen the conceptual framework. The findings reveal that financial institutions, particularly banks, remain the dominant actors in financial intermediation and play a significant role in promoting economic growth. The effectiveness of financial intermediation is influenced by several key factors, including financial inclusion, regulatory quality, institutional governance, and technological innovation. In addition, the emergence of financial technology (fintech) has transformed traditional intermediation processes by improving efficiency and expanding access to financial services. However, excessive credit expansion and weak regulatory frameworks may lead to financial instability, indicating a nonlinear relationship between financial intermediation and economic growth. This study contributes to the literature by providing an integrative and up-to-date synthesis of the finance–growth nexus and offers policy implications for strengthening financial systems to achieve inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Academic writing competence is a fundamental skill in higher education, yet many Indonesian students continue to struggle with producing coherent, well-structured, and properly referenced texts. These challenges underscore the importance of effective learning management in Indonesian language instruction. This study presents a systematic literature review (SLR) of research published between 2019 and 2024 to identify strategies for managing learning processes that enhance academic writing skills. Following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, 32 peer-reviewed articles indexed in Scopus and Web of Science were analyzed. The review reveals four main dimensions of effective learning management: curriculum design, pedagogical strategies, technological integration, and assessment practices. Evidence shows that curricula aligned with academic genres, combined with collaborative and student-centered pedagogies, significantly improve writing outcomes. The integration of digital tools, such as learning management systems and AI-based applications, enhances feedback efficiency, while rubric-based formative assessments ensure transparency and guide student progress. Importantly, the findings emphasize that sustainable improvement in academic writing requires a holistic approach that integrates these dimensions rather than isolated interventions. This study contributes to the discourse on language education management by synthesizing evidence and providing practical recommendations. It suggests embedding academic writing across curricula, strengthening teacher professional development, expanding digital infrastructure, and adopting hybrid feedback systems. Future research should focus on longitudinal, multi-institutional studies and explore the role of emerging technologies in managing writing instruction.

Abstract

This study examines the role of legal politics in ensuring legal certainty and achieving substantive justice within the Indonesian legal system. Although legal politics serves as a fundamental guideline in the formulation and enforcement of laws, tensions frequently arise between the demands of legal certainty and the pursuit of justice due to political influence in the legislative process. This study aims to analyze how legal politics shapes law-making and to identify the challenges in balancing these two legal objectives. This research employs a normative juridical method, using statutory, conceptual, and theoretical approaches to analyze legal norms, doctrines, and relevant scholarly works. The analysis focuses on the interaction between political configurations, institutional integrity, and the resulting legal framework. The findings reveal that legal politics plays a strategic role in determining the direction, substance, and priorities of legislation, thereby influencing the realization of legal certainty and justice. However, the dominance of political interests, regulatory disharmony, and weak law enforcement often undermine these objectives. The study also finds that an overemphasis on formal certainty may lead to substantive injustice, highlighting the need for a balanced approach. This study contributes to the discourse by emphasizing the importance of justice-oriented legal politics that integrates formal certainty with substantive fairness. It recommends strengthening institutional integrity, enhancing public participation, and ensuring consistency in legal policy to achieve a more equitable and predictable legal system.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of corporate liquidity, proxied by the Current Ratio (CR), on stock prices in coal mining sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2022 period. The research is motivated by the strategic importance of the coal industry in Indonesia and the increasing reliance of investors on financial performance indicators in making investment decisions, particularly in the post-COVID-19 economic recovery phase. This study adopts a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design, utilizing secondary data derived from annual financial statements and stock price records. The sample consists of eight companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 24 firm-year observations. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression, preceded by classical assumption tests including normality and heteroskedasticity tests. The empirical results indicate that the Current Ratio has a positive and statistically significant effect on stock prices, suggesting that higher liquidity enhances investor confidence and firm valuation in the capital market. These findings are consistent with the signaling theory and the semi-strong form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis, which posit that publicly available financial information is rapidly reflected in stock prices. However, this study is limited by its relatively small sample size and the use of a single independent variable. Future research is recommended to incorporate additional financial and macroeconomic variables and apply panel data techniques to provide more comprehensive and robust findings.

Abstract

The management of School Operational Assistance (BOS) funds serves as a primary pillar in financing primary and secondary education in Indonesia. Although budget allocations continue to increase, management effectiveness still faces challenges regarding transparency, timeliness, and its impact on the quality of learning. Objective: Therefore, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of BOS fund management in schools through a systematic literature review. Methods: This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method as a qualitative approach. Data were collected from various journals and articles published between 2020 and 2025. Findings: The findings indicate that the effectiveness of fund management is significantly influenced by the digitalization of reporting systems (such as ARKAS), the managerial competence of school principals, and the level of school autonomy. International literature emphasizes that financial effectiveness must ultimately lead to improved student achievement, whereas domestic literature still focuses heavily on administrative compliance. Conclusion: The primary constraints consistently identified include delays in fund disbursement and low community participation in oversight. Furthermore, regulatory changes and human resource limitations remain major challenges affecting the overall effectiveness of BOS fund management.

Abstract

Public communication plays a pivotal role in shaping social interaction, policy dissemination, and public understanding, particularly in linguistically diverse contexts such as Indonesia. This study aims to examine the role of linguistics in enhancing the effectiveness of public communication through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Adopting the PRISMA framework, this study analyzes 45 peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2025, sourced from Scopus, Web of Science, and other reputable databases. The findings reveal that communication effectiveness is influenced by multiple interconnected linguistic dimensions, including sociolinguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, digital linguistics, and computational linguistics. Sociolinguistic diversity, characterized by the coexistence of Bahasa Indonesia and numerous local languages, presents both opportunities for audience engagement and challenges for message standardization. Pragmatic strategies, particularly politeness and contextual appropriateness, significantly enhance message acceptance and credibility. Additionally, discourse and framing mechanisms shape public perception by constructing meaning and influencing attitudes. The study also highlights the transformative impact of digital communication, where emerging linguistic forms increase engagement but may reduce clarity and accuracy. Furthermore, the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) offers promising opportunities for analyzing communication patterns, although its application in Indonesia remains limited. Overall, this study emphasizes that effective public communication requires an integrated linguistic approach that considers cultural, contextual, and technological factors. The findings provide theoretical and practical implications for researchers, policymakers, and communication practitioners.
