Abstract

Training, rewards, and work environment are factors that are thought to influence teacher performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of training and rewards on teacher performance at Bina Bangsa Mandiri School, with the work environment as a moderating variable. The study was conducted on 60 educators with a saturated sampling technique. Data collection used questionnaires distributed offline, then processed using the Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results of the study showed that training and rewards had a significant effect on teacher performance. This means that the better the training and rewards given, the higher the teacher's productivity and competence. However, the work environment does not moderate the relationship between training and performance, but moderates the relationship between rewards and teacher performance. Thus, rewards will be more effective if given in a conducive work environment, both physically and non-physically.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the income generated from Eucheuma cottonii seaweed farming by identifying the total production costs, gross income, and net income obtained by seaweed farmers. The research was conducted in Mamuju Regency, where the population comprised 156 seaweed farmers. A purposive sampling technique was employed, selecting 15% of the population, resulting in a sample of 23 respondents. The study took place from July to August 2022 and utilized both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected from primary sources through direct interviews and questionnaires, as well as from secondary sources such as official reports and related literature. The findings indicate that Eucheuma cottonii farmers actively attempt to minimize production costs to maximize profitability. The analysis shows that the average production cost incurred per farming cycle was IDR 5,904,706. In contrast, the average gross income reached IDR 10,496,739, leading to an average net income of IDR 4,595,294. These results suggest that Eucheuma cottonii seaweed farming contributes significantly to the economic well-being of coastal communities. The relatively high net income reflects the potential of seaweed cultivation as a sustainable livelihood option in marine-based economies. Overall, the study highlights the economic viability of Eucheuma cottonii cultivation and supports its development as an income-generating activity for small-scale farmers in coastal regions.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of intrinsic motivation and the non-physical work environment on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating variable, in the Product Analyst Sub-Directorate of the Intelligence Directorate, Densus 88 AT Polri. The research highlights the strategic importance of human resources in supporting organizational effectiveness, particularly in high-stakes intelligence operations focused on counterterrorism in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using a saturated sampling technique involving 103 personnel. Data were collected through structured questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis, including the Sobel test to assess mediation. The results reveal that intrinsic motivation (β = 0.28; p = 0.02) and the non-physical work environment (β = 0.29; p = 0.00) significantly and positively affect performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction (β = 0.62; p = 0.00) significantly contributes to performance and fully mediates the relationship between the independent variables and performance (p = 0.00). These findings underscore the importance of enhancing intrinsic motivation and creating a supportive work environment to foster job satisfaction and, in turn, improve performance. The study offers practical implications for organizational leaders in intelligence institutions to consider psychological and social factors in optimizing employee output under pressure-intensive environments.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of transformational leadership and intrinsic motivation on job satisfaction and their subsequent impact on employee performance at PT. Setiawan Anugerah Perkasa. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from employees through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings reveal that transformational leadership significantly and positively influences job satisfaction, indicating that leaders who inspire, empower, and support their employees contribute to higher satisfaction levels. Intrinsic motivation is also found to significantly affect job satisfaction and employee performance, suggesting that internally driven employees demonstrate greater engagement and productivity. However, transformational leadership does not show a direct significant effect on performance, but its influence becomes substantial when mediated through job satisfaction. In contrast, job satisfaction significantly mediates the relationship between intrinsic motivation and performance, affirming its pivotal role. The study concludes that while transformational leadership may not directly improve performance, it is instrumental in enhancing job satisfaction, which in turn boosts performance outcomes. The research implies that organizations should strengthen transformational leadership practices and cultivate an environment that fosters intrinsic motivation to drive performance. Future studies are encouraged to explore additional mediating variables, such as organizational commitment or training quality, to further enrich the understanding of performance determinants within corporate settings.

Abstract

The growth of infrastructure in West Java has driven the expansion of the increasingly competitive construction sector. PT. Rangga Jaya Kontruksi Klapanunggal, as one of the construction companies in the region, faces challenges in maintaining employee performance, especially due to the decline in performance that occurred in 2023 compared to previous years. This decline can be seen in several key indicators, such as accuracy in completing tasks, teamwork, and compliance with occupational safety and health (K3) policies. This condition reflects the importance of a human resource management strategy that not only focuses on financial aspects, but also includes non-financial compensation, competency development, and strengthening organizational commitment. This study aims to analyze the effect of non-financial compensation and competency on employee performance, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable. The research method used is a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 106 employees. The results of the study show that non-financial compensation and competency have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. In addition, organizational commitment is proven to significantly mediate the relationship between the two independent variables and performance. These findings emphasize the importance of implementing a non-material reward system such as training, work flexibility, and achievement recognition, as well as project-based competency development. An organizational culture that encourages emotional attachment is also key to improving performance sustainably. Integration of these three aspects is necessary to strengthen the competitiveness of companies in the construction industry.
