Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of dividend policy and leverage on stock price volatility, with profitability as an intervening variable, in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020–2024. The sample of this study was determined using the total sampling method, resulting in 47 banking companies as the research sample. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (www.idx.co.id). The analytical methods employed are multiple regression analysis and path analysis, conducted using SPSS version 25. The results of this study indicate that dividend policy has a positive and significant effect on profitability, while leverage has no significant effect on profitability. Furthermore, dividend policy has no significant effect on stock price volatility, whereas leverage has a positive and significant effect on stock price volatility. Profitability has a positive and significant effect on stock price volatility. In addition, profitability is able to mediate the relationship between dividend policy and stock price volatility, but it is not able to mediate the relationship between leverage and stock price volatility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of interest rates and credit risk on profitability with operational efficiency as an intervening variable in banking companies listed on the Bursa Efek Indonesia during the 2020–2024 period. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA), credit risk is proxied by Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and operational efficiency is measured using the BOPO ratio. This research uses secondary data derived from published annual bank financial statements. The analytical methods applied are multiple linear regression and path analysis using SPSS 23 to test both direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that operational efficiency has a significant effect on profitability. Interest rates and credit risk influence operational efficiency, but they do not show a significant indirect effect on profitability through the intervening variable. These findings suggest that banks’ ability to control operational costs plays a more dominant role in improving profitability compared to the indirect effects of interest rates and credit risk. This study is expected to provide practical insights for banking management in improving financial performance through stronger operational efficiency strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of effective communication and skills training on employee productivity with technology utilization as an intervening variable. The research uses a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The population consists of 378 employees, with a sample of 80 respondents determined using the Slovin formula and random sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis includes validity and reliability testing, outer model and inner model evaluation, and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping procedures. The results show that effective communication and skills training have a positive and significant effect on technology utilization. Effective communication and technology utilization have a positive and significant effect on employee productivity, while skills training does not have a significant direct effect on employee productivity. However, skills training has a positive and significant indirect effect on employee productivity through technology utilization as an intervening variable. The R-square values indicate that the model has strong explanatory power for technology utilization and employee productivity. These findings confirm that optimizing communication, training, and technology usage in an integrated manner can improve employee productivity.

Abstract

Performance is a key factor for an institution, determining the achievement of high-quality work results toward organizational goals. This study aims to determine the influence of organizational culture, job satisfaction, compensation, motivation, and the work environment on employee performance at CV Rindang Khatulistiwa Jember. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach. Sampling was conducted using a saturated sampling technique, with a sample size of 61 employees, representing the total number of employees. Data collection used a questionnaire with a Likert scale research instrument. The research data was analyzed using SPSS 25, using several testing techniques: data instrument testing, classical assumption testing, multiple linear regression testing, coefficient of determination (R2) testing, and hypothesis testing. The research findings indicate that job satisfaction, compensation, and the work environment have a partial effect on employee performance. Meanwhile, organizational culture and motivation do not have a partial effect on employee performance. However, the variables of organizational culture, job satisfaction, compensation, motivation, and the work environment simultaneously influence employee performance. These results are expected to contribute to efforts to evaluate targeted human resource and employee management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the mental health of public sector employees who face high work demands, particularly those working at the Social Affairs Office P3APPKB of Dharmasraya Regency. Imbalances in work–life balance and work target pressures are assumed to influence employee motivation and mental health. The population of this study consisted of all employees of the Social Affairs Office P3APPKB, totaling 52 respondents. The main objective of this research is to examine the effect of work–life balance and work targets on employees’ mental health, with motivation acting as an intervening variable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential for inclusive tourism development in Padang City from the perspective of stakeholders. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants in this study consisted of the Padang City Tourism Office, tourism business actors, academics, disability communities, and tourists. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing methods. There are five indicators used to measure tourism inclusivity, namely staff management, accessible tour operators, accessible facilities, affordable accommodation, and the availability of transportation provided by the government. The results of the study indicate that Padang City is not yet ready to support inclusive tourism because there are still various limitations in staff management that does not provide special staff for tourists with disabilities, tour operators that do not provide friendly and accessible tour packages for all groups, public facilities and accommodations do not fully meet accessibility standards, and public transportation in Padang City is not inclusive for wheelchair users or other groups with special needs.  Based on the analysis results, it is recommended that the government and stakeholders improve human resource training in the tourism sector, add supporting facilities for tourists with special needs, improve transportation infrastructure to tourist destinations, and strengthen cross-sector collaboration in designing inclusive and sustainable tourism policies in Padang City.

Abstract

This study assesses the health level of distributors in PT. Igasar from 2014 to 2016. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of health of the company. Sample in this research is financial report of PT. Igasar in 2014 to 2016. Data collection techniques in this study is descriptive method of analysis by using company documentation in the form of financial statements of the company. Data analysis used in this research is ratio analysis and financial report comparison analysis. The results of this study indicate that the health level of PT. Igasar in three consecutive years from 2014 to 2016 in terms of liquidity, both from the cash ratio and quick ratio has not been able to meet the standard financial ratios, so including the unhealthy category. Then in terms of solvency, both from the debt to asset ratio and debt to equity ratio shows a high figure. The high number of firm solvency ratios which indicates high corporate liabilities, as well as this ratio has not been able to meet the standard sound financial ratios. In terms of firm profitability, the ratio of nett profit margin and return on asset and return on equity also indicates that the figure still does not meet the standard figure of healthy financial ratio.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of Digital Technology Advancement and Organizational Culture on Agency Performance Accountability with the Work Environment as an Intervening Variable at the Transportation Agency of West Sumatra Province. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method on employees of the Transportation Agency of West Sumatra Province. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS. The sampling method in this study used a saturated sampling method by distributing questionnaires to 76 employees of the Transportation Agency of West Sumatra Province. The results of the study show that digital technology advancement has a positive effect on the work environment. In addition, digital technology advancement has a positive relationship with agency performance accountability. However, digital technology advancement has not been able to significantly mediate the relationship between the work environment and agency performance accountability even though its influence is positive.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital transformation and leadership style on employee performance with organizational commitment as an intervening variable at the Department of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health of West Sumatra Province. The study applies a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS software. The independent variables are digital transformation and leadership style, the dependent variable is employee performance, and the intervening variable is organizational commitment. The results show that digital transformation has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. Leadership style has a negative and insignificant effect on organizational commitment and employee performance. Organizational commitment has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. Indirect testing indicates that digital transformation and leadership style do not have a significant effect on employee performance through organizational commitment, and organizational commitment does not mediate the relationship between leadership style and employee performance. These findings indicate that strengthening digital transformation implementation is a key factor in improving employee performance in public sector institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure and dividend policy on firm value with financial performance as an intervening variable in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The population of this study consists of manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period, with the sample selected using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis methods employed in this study are multiple linear regression analysis and path analysis. The results of this study indicate that capital structure partially has a significant effect on financial performance. Dividend policy partially has a significant effect on financial performance. Capital structure and dividend policy simultaneously affect financial performance. Furthermore, financial performance partially does not have a significant effect on firm value. Capital structure partially does not have a significant effect on firm value, while dividend policy partially has a significant effect on firm value. Capital structure, dividend policy, and financial performance simultaneously affect firm value. The results of the intervening variable test show that financial performance is not able to mediate the effect of capital structure on firm value, and is also not able to mediate the effect of dividend policy on firm value in manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2024 period.
