Abstract

This study examines the integration of ISO 31000 into risk management practices at the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in Tanah Datar Regency. A qualitative field research methodology was employed, involving in-depth interviews with key informants. Data triangulation ensured the validity of the findings, while thematic analysis identified core patterns and themes. The theoretical framework utilized ISO 31000's risk management process, including risk identification, analysis, and treatment. The findings revealed ten significant risks categorized into financial, operational, strategic, and hazard risks. High-priority risks include the absence of sanctions for non-compliant zakat payers, while medium-level risks involve the failure to meet zakat targets and inaccuracies in beneficiary selection. Low-priority risks include errors in recommending zakat recipients by local officials. The integration of ISO 31000 provides a systematic approach to identifying and mitigating these risks, ensuring more transparent and accountable zakat management. The study offers actionable recommendations for BAZNAS, including strengthening public education on zakat, implementing stricter verification processes for beneficiaries, and fostering community-based approaches to encourage zakat payments

Abstract

This study examines the constraints and strategies for enhancing Islamic financial inclusion in Central Java from the perspectives of supply and demand. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through Focus Group Discussions with five Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) and surveys involving 66 MSMEs. Findings reveal seven supply-side constraints, including limited public and human resource literacy, absence of ATMs, restricted branch networks, limited capital, difficulties in customer segmentation, and inadequate socialization efforts. Meanwhile, six demand-side barriers were identified, such as limited awareness of BPRS, perceived complexity in financing requirements, and concerns over collateral and loan repayments. To address these issues, two strategies are proposed: 1) targeted socialization and education campaigns and 2) enhanced collaboration with community organizations and stakeholders. The study underscores the need for joint efforts by BPRS, MSMEs, and the government to improve infrastructure and accessibility, thereby fostering broader Islamic financial inclusion

This study aims to analyze the financing implementation process at Bank Nagari Syariah and Sharia Rural Banks (BPRS) in West Sumatra, focusing on the application of the precautionary principle. The data were analyzed thematically, focusing on the implementation of the 6C and 5C assessment methods. The findings reveal that Bank Nagari Syariah and BPRS consistently apply the precautionary principle to mitigate the risk of default. This study implies the need to strengthen risk assessment systems based on sharia principles to improve financing asset quality and enhance customer trust in sharia banking

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of the concept of the operational system of Islamic Social Financial Institutions such as the Micro Waqf Bank, Baznas Microfinance Village, and Infak Bank. The research method uses qualitative Conceptual Comparison Method. Data collection techniques using interviews and documentation. The results showed that the system concepts of three Indonesian Islamic social financial institutions are purely social from the aspects of status as a social institution, funding, financing, and distribution, and have many operational system similarities. However, there are differences in the sources of capital in the form of alms, zakat, waqf, general donations, and CSR which have become the responsibility of the company. In terms of type, the three institutions are classified as ethical banks or non-bank Islamic ethical financial institutions because they emphasize the purpose of their activities on outcomes and impact rather than profit at all. In terms of the cash waqf theory of capital resilience, the three institutions are less efficient from the aspect of business sustainability, because the amount is at risk of decreasing and will always depend on donations, where the funds are channeled to poor businesses that are at risk of inability to repay loans. The researcher recommends a commercial social financial institution model that is commercial in seeking profit, but social in profit distribution

Furthermore, e-service quality also has a significant influence on the e-loyalty of mobile banking users at Islamic commercial banks. Moreover, e-trust and e-service quality together have a significant effect on e-loyalty.. Based on the results of the coefficient of determination (R Square) test, a value of 0.505 or 50.5% was obtained. This indicates that e-trust  and e-service quality together explain 50.5% of the variability in e-loyalty of mobile banking users at Islamic commercial banks, while the remaining 49.5% is influenced by other variables not included in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of digital technology on Human Resource Management at Islamic Banks in Batusangkar, both aspects of recruitment, performance appraisal, training and employee development. The research method uses mixed method with sequential exploratory model by combining qualitative and quantitative research methods sequentially. The first stage of the research was carried out qualitative methods and in the second stage quantitative. The results of this study indicate that digital technology has a significant influence on Islamic banking SDI management. Digital transformation not only increases efficiency and transparency, but also accelerates decision-making and improves workforce quality through technology-based training. However, for the impact of digitalization to be optimized, Islamic banking needs to adopt a decentralized strategy in SDI management and improve digital literacy for all employees. This will ensure that digital technology is not only a supporting tool, but also an integral part of a more innovative and adaptive SDI management strategy.
