Abstract

On May 22, 2024, 25 students together with 326 cadet students from the Military History study program at the Indonesian Defence University were declared to have graduated as cadets and were entitled to take basic military education. This national military education Chandradimuka is for the Defence University Cadet students held at Indonesia Military Academy Magelang, Central Java. This activity will last for 3 full months of military education. Lieutenant General Armed Forces (TNI) Jonni Mahroza, Ph.D., opened the Basic Military Education (Diksarmil) Chandradimuka Undergraduate Student Cadet (S-1) Cohort 5 of the Indonesian Defence University for the 2024 Academic Year which was attended by 351 people who will carry out education for 3 months at Sapta Marga Field, city of Magelang. The Defence University of the Republic of Indonesia is a state university that provides vocational, undergraduate, and postgraduate education in the fields of defence and national defence, to carry out development and development oriented towards the Tri Dharma of higher education, to achieve national education standards and world-class university standards along with preserving national values. The results are that the implementation of this basic military training is the initial stage for Indonesian Defence University student cadets in the process of becoming defence human resources of excellence and integrity. This activity aims to shape the character of Indonesian Defence University student cadets into individuals who are disciplined and have integrity and responsibility. In the current era of globalization, Indonesia will certainly experience various challenges that will be increasingly complex and dynamic, so a young generation is needed who has high mental and physical resilience of national value and national defence.

Abstract

The capital market plays an important role in the life of a country to encourage economic growth. In the capital market, the share price of a company can be used to measure the financial performance of a company, so that under reasonable and normal conditions, the share price of a company can be seen as an increase in its financial performance. A country's stock market is often sensitive to surrounding events, even unusual ones. The aim of the research is to determine the difference in exchange rates on returns before and after the announcement of the first case of the Covid-19 pandemic in automotive and component sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research approach used is the event study method to analyze the market response to events because it compares differences in exchange rates, market capitalization, trading volume activity on returns and abnormal returns before and after the announcement of the first case of the Covid-19 pandemic in automotive and component subsector companies. listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The research results show that stock trading frequency has no significant effect on stock returns, trading volume has no significant effect on stock returns, market capitalization value has no significant effect on stock returns, stock prices have no significant effect on stock returns, trading days have no significant effect on stock returns.

Abstract

This abstract discusses the da'wah strategies used by two prominenD da'wah figures, namely Habib Jindan and Kyai Faiz Syukron, in the context of social media. This research explores aspects of the rhetoric and preaching material they convey via online platforms. The rhetorical approach used by both of them will be analyzed, including the choice of words, delivery style, and persuasion strategies they employ. Apart from that, the preaching material they convey will also be evaluated to understand the main themes they raise, their approach to contemporary issues, and the way they convey religious messages in a modern context. By using content analysis methods and a qualitative approach, this research aims to provide a deeper understanding of how these two preaching figures use social media as a tool to spread religious teachings, influence public opinion, and build a large community of followers. It is hoped that the results of this research will provide new insight into da'wah strategies in the digital era and how online da'wah can be a significant force in shaping people's views on religion and spiritual values.

Abstract

This research aims to understand, analyze, and describe the essence of resolving land rights conflicts of indigenous law communities in foreign investment companies. The study uses normative legal research, empirical legal research (numerical), and historical studies as comprehensive supplementary data. This type of research was chosen because the conflicts have been ongoing for a long time, and various resolution efforts have been made, but none have comprehensively resolved the conflicts. The research was conducted on indigenous law communities experiencing land rights conflicts with foreign investment companies, using descriptive analytical methods derived from qualitative and quantitative data on land rights conflicts of indigenous law communities and the existence of foreign investment companies. The research findings indicate that the essence of resolving land rights conflicts of indigenous law communities in foreign investment companies, whether through litigation or non-litigation, has not successfully resolved the conflicts comprehensively. This has led to legal and social uncertainty. The recommendation is that the essence of resolving land rights conflicts of indigenous law communities with foreign investment companies requires an independent initiator with high integrity, morals, and an understanding of conflict typologies without being influenced by practical political interests. Furthermore, there is a need for government support to foster a spirit of diversity by accommodating indigenous law communities as a protected communal entity under the law.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how well the Three Steps Interview Method to Improve Students’ Writing Ability in Descriptive Text. This research was use an experimental design and conducted for two months in which it was consisted of eighth meetings, the first meeting was given pre-test, the second until seventh was given treatment and the last meeting was given post-test. The study was taken by at the tenth grade students of SMA N I Sampaga and here the research took class X. After doing the steps, the researcher got some data. The mean score of pre-test was 56,10 and post-test was 74,26. While the range of mean score from pre-test to post-test is 17,53. The standard deviation of pre-test is 8,95 and post-test is 10,54. The range of standard deviation from pre-test to post-test is 1,59. It could be conclude that after giving treatment to the students, the mean score in post-test (73,63) is higher than pre-test (56,10) and standard deviation in post-test (10,54) is higher than pre-test (8,95). The result of t-test was 12,02 while t- table value was 1.734. It shows that the t-test value is greater than the t-table value (12,02>1.734). It means that there was significant different between after giving treatment because t-test was greater than t-table. Based on the data, the research can be conclude that the use of Three Steps Interview Method can improve students’ writing ability in descriptive text at the tenth grade of SMA N 1 SAMPAGA.

Abstract

The management of human resources in an agency environment has a very important role. Human resources are the main factor in planning, directing and supervising all activities. Given the importance of the human resource factor, each agency is required to improve the performance of its employees so that they are qualified and productive to run the agency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational commitment and compensation on teachers. The research method used in this study is a quantitative method. The population used as a sample in this study amounted to 26 people as respondents. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to teachers. The analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis technique. The results of the analysis show that. Simultaneous organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, while compensation simultaneously has a negative and insignificant effect on teacher performance.
